My brothers and I are a direct result. Mom was Wasp from Boston to Manhantville in 69, Dad was 13 years older Italian sanitation worker from NY. It was Dillon and Cash and the like that made me and my bros, plus kids and grandkids, all possible.
Knew a lot about Johnny Cash but never knew about his friendship with Bob Dylan. Love this. My dad who passed away last year at 92 years old, loved this song and loved Johnny Cash. Maybe they're now singing together in Heaven
Die urkraft im gesang eines johnny cash und das verzieren der musik eines bob dylan ergibt diiie symbiose im starken stil dieses liedes. Einfach nur toll❤❤❤😊
Great friends making great music. Admiration for each other undeniable! Wish they would have recorded more together. Always loved them both. They sing about real truth.
@@danielsaan1749 thanks Confederate , I seen him at Glasgow ssec ,my mates seen him on the esplanade at Stirling castle and they all got to shake his hand ,needless to say I missed it
This has always been my favorite rendition of this song. The contrast between their voices and the slight "offness" of them singing together actually turned out well.
Never understand why people complain about Bob's voice the people that do obviously just don't get Bob. Johnny loved him and his voice as did mostly everyone in the music community so why can't everyone else? hendrix, the beatles, cash, even Frank Sinatra all adored Dylan
I adore Dylan even though his voice may sound harsh for many people tastes! It's a matter of appreciation of a man who was the voice of his generation, who is considered a poet, who has composed hundreds of beautiful songs and who has received the highest recognitions, including a Nobel prize. You can't say the same of Bruno Mars.
Jacob Lineman he's got a rough, unusual kind of voice. I feel like a lot of (especially young) people are used to polished, sometimes heavily autotuned voice. Most do not care for lyrics or passion either. Which is a shame! When I was a little kid, I didn't get the charm either, yet my father would sing and play along to Bob Dylan on his guitar to no end. Now that I'm older, I feel like I'm finally understanding Dylan and his songs and why my father appreciates him so much. :)
From what i have learned.....Bob had a motorcycle wreck and he had throat damage. this was recorded before he had the wreck.....i was named Dylan Robert in honor of him lol. My dad is a HUGE fan. I am also it seems.
Because, I dunno, non-politicians as Presidents sounds like a great concept, but lately hasn't actually been working out all that well? Those "bidnessman Preznets" have just wound up screwing the pooch. We barely survived GWB and that Dick, Cheney; it'll be a miracle if we live through Deadbeat Donnie.
I love both Johnny & Bob. They are both unique in their own right. I grew up listening to both of them and never really appreciated their voices/music. I was a RN in Nashville and took care of Johnny Cash at Baptist hospital. He was the kindest, sweetest man, but June Carter Cash was a whole different story. 😱 I have loved Johnny's music since I was 8 years old. Don't know anyone who doesn't. Bob on the other hand, you either love him or hate him. Ha! Some of his music/songs I like, some I don't like and others I love. I pick and choose my music with Bob, and truly thank him for his contribution to our generation. 👏
Cash was obviously blessed with a baritone Dylan could only admire but never compete with. What they admired about each other was that both men were fearless to sing what they felt. Dylan quickly distanced himself from “protest” songs after his third album but Cash sang “ Ballad of Ira Hayes” and did a whole album commemorating Native Americans which country radio at that point in the mid 60’s ignored. Cash and Dylan were rebels who entertained and survived backlashes against their audacity. Both had balls but Cash’s came through in his incredible baritone that Bob must have admired. That Bob paid homage to Cash meant paling in comparison to Cash’s authenticity.
Look at the look on Bob's face, Devilish grin. Oh, that ring of fire will do that to you........................Johnny looks like he just escaped a encounter with one of them rings?
She's a lion tamer. Careful when ya get married unkle Pete. She put you in a circus show for others. Eat up bud. Even if it's only me that ya fink will get whipped. Get it!
Vicious delicious delirious suspicious insidious then it's like...just outright insane. .but never mundane as you try to explain .to the sexy fukkkin beach that tricked you into marrying her. ..those quality hooker's...was da cocaine
When Cash and Dylan sing together it's like living at the same time in two different amazing worlds.
Ja so fühle ich es auch, diese beiden sind jeder für sich ein Kern in sich und eine Frucht für sich und doch irgendwie gemeinsam. Danke dafür
Well said ❤
I love how their voices and their guitar playing are totally different to each other's, but it all sounds amazing when brought together.

for me and my dad it was Billie Holliday. When I was a kid I hated her voice. Then I grew up.

Actually if this is Nashville Skyline recordings, this is LONG after Bobs moto accident. He didn't hurt his throat in the crash.
BOB IS AMAZING AND HAS ONE AMAZING VOICE...LOVE YOU BOB AND JOHNNY..XXXXXXBOB GETS MORE XXX
That's what makes the world go around...love Bob Dylan
Even like, even now he can still get what he wants. He is a King among Kings❤️
Superb. Dylan and Cash two legends.
These two sing so well together. At the time it was just songs. Now it's history. And it's never coming back....
What a great rendition of this classic!
I love Bob n Johnny the best year's of music !!
I love Bob Dylan and Nightly moth for this song ❤️ Elizabeth
These two together... why were they never nominated for president.

They wouldn't step down to such miserable positions.

BOB HAD A UNIQUE VOICE,,,PERFECT FOR HIS MUSIC,,,,,SAME FOR CASH
Thanks so much for posting! Bob had a great voice when he was young, and he and Johnny Cash make a fantastic Country Western duet!
2021............................... Lang lebe Bob !!! Einfach himmlisch die Beiden!
Two legends 👏

You can actually understand Bob Dylan when he sings with Johnny!!

The Magic of Dylan
Look at the look on Bob's face, Devilish grin. Oh, that ring of fire will do that to you........................Johnny looks like he just escaped a encounter with one of them rings?

Dylan was actually never good at singing. But his songs are. WOW. Can´t describe with worlds. As awesome as Cash´s voice was. :(
Same as me
Bob Dylan, the male June Carter...
🌟🌟🌟🎼
Gracias.
Bob Wootton on guitar.
Bob’s tone during this small period is very Dwight Yoakam
Damn sure is!
They just don’t make em like they use to !!!!!!!!!!!
ITS JUST FUN

the image is a lil too similar to a selfie for my taste ;P
DJ Bisogno so?
It's cropped. Bob Johhnston, from Columbia Records, is on the right too.
First selfie
🎼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bobby's voice was higher here.. maybe for a reason
Has Bob taken a selfie?
I dont know.. Reelly what is better. Star batery od fire.i ask if you mater put fire only for face or in our body?
I love honey
Now that’s better! His solo versions are too slow.
June sounds like she has a cold.
Aw c'mon now. Johnny Cash is 10 x the better singer.
Well I have to agree. I love Bob but especially on this recording he sounds a bit special :/
I dunno, but did it seem like Bobby wanted to show Johnny that he could....sing it better?
Pictures tell it all.
I Don know..
Hidden joke. EL TIME. He is shining down on you.
What is Matthew mcconahey or however you spell it to make the Dylan movie??? Dead ringer in this pic.
What's the source?
cash was good but do you really think there is any comparison??
yeah cash was better
Loved them both but two different people and different type of music that do well together, Bob has that special feeling in his music for me
I love these two, but this was not Bob's key!
Thank goodness ole russko never married use...cause that would be self abuse
Kjell höglund
I like both of them separately. Together, meh.
Entertaining but painful!
