Hi Dallas. I finally experienced the fabulous Cafe Royal afternoon tea this past Saturday. I invited a close and dear friend to join me and we had a wonderful experience. We had the standard menu but added a cucumber and mint sandwich from the vegetarian menu. We had rose champagne and tried the lapsang souchong smoky tea and the white apricot tea. I wanted to thank you for the inspiration. I wouldn’t have known about this gem of a place if it wasn’t for watching your video and trip down that rabbit hole. You presented it so lovingly to us, so we had to try it. Here’s my Google review of the experience:
Every little detail was exquisite! The room is so opulent and impressive. It looks palatial with all the gold decorations, classical paintings and mirror walls. The food and drinks were expertly prepared and presented. Everything tasted so delicious and looked fabulous. The service was first class. It is quite pricey but worth every penny if you are looking for an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it for celebrating a joyous occasion. Ours was celebrating 29 years of friendship that remained strong through the years despite the geographical distance between us! We do that by making every reunion a special experience, like having afternoon tea at Cafe Royal.
