    nice trap. Few tips for those following
    -You dont need to scrib a circle . just connect the fence together . and use a clip to hold the two ends together .. it will for its shape . just drive post in next to it.
    -Have a little more overlap at the entrance ( 3 sqares is good)
    -On the outside of the fence end that isnt the door, sink a 4x4 and screw in a few metal hanging hooks sideways , to catch the door flap if a big hog tries to push it open.
    -Prop the entrance open with a pipe or stick tied to a tripwire further inside the trap. this allows more skittish or smaller pigs to walk in . I use a stick about 18 inches long , so if anything wider than that walks through it will push open the door way just enough to make the stick fall and close the trap

      You are soooo right! I did another vid “ Corral trap game changer “ that covers exactly what you are saying…wish I’d have known that info from jump! The stick or trigger…really improves the trap. Thanks for watching!

    I had the same trap built but a couple of panels more. I have used diesel soaked corn. In Texas is where I am. They seem to love it over any other recipe... It's crazy!
    Happy trapping and hope you can eliminate some of your problem! Those pears should peak their interest too!

      The best part was watching my 90 years old dad. He just had to shoot the big boar in one group we caught. It was awesome. He had to use his 45-70 Marlon with the long octagonal Barrell... Lolol
      I wouldn't trade that memory for anything. The smile on his face when he laid (slam dunked) that big hog down was priceless. We lost dad 7/31/20 from cancer.

    Two quick thoughts.......
    1. Any time you can work a Doc Holiday quote in, do it!
    2. Guaranteed this is the only hog trap build video on the internet where the host is wearing Air Force Ones.
    Just a thought......

      Not hyping another video…but watch Corral style hog trap: Must See Hack too. A hog man showed me a trigger system that really boosts the traps effectiveness. Thanks for watching!

      @@whitetailcartel80 how long are the cattle panels? what if i used 6 ?

    • @whitetailcartel80
      @whitetailcartel80  3 роки тому

      The ones I had were 24 ft. They come in several sizes. If I were you I’d go 6, possibly 8. I’m sure you want to catch the whole sounder. And I’ve learned…tie it open for about a week until they get comfortable.
