I just wanted to share this. It's not about you sleeping in at all. --As I saw in a video where it was explained really clearly, that **discipline creates motivation.** Discipline in this way is the "must do" and "key" to it all. Doing it EVEN tho we do not feel like it. When we do discipline that creates good "feelings," improved self-esteem, confidence, and the "momentum..." ....which creates motivation. You can't expect to be in the right mood, or motivated, or have the right stuff first....you do the discipline no matter, which creates the motivation. Plus momentum I find is really a key aspect as well....if something/someone throws me off my course I tend to struggle. I don't want to be too rigid either, but moving along with some type of rhythm/pattern/momentum is what's worked for me, in the past.
@@trenmccollum ya. I like that word 'habit,' it sounds more relaxed and chill. Like sometimes just having good habits can maybe make that change. Routines can be more robotic? but the trick is to make them fun. Systems are good, wow for organization i.e. when cooking/studying etc. Ya I admit I am struggling to find a safe place. I have to keep in mind certain people (I've known) I think if I follow what's within, and God or whatnot I might end up being truly happy. Thanks for your comment! :)
hey man. im on this journey with you and its just good to see you working to better your life. it can be hard but we cant be too hard on ourself. its a process not an immediate success. so keep going!
Honestly man this video just appeared in my feed and I'm in such a similar situation as you. You get told all day online that you should do this and should do this and that. I also beat myself up for failing to do these things. I oversleep one time and I beat myself up. Seeing this in another person (you) just makes me sad. I really think there is something cooked in our society that we all have to be these perfect human beings. Young men in the prime of our lives and being told we have to train 5 days per week, wake up same time every day and go to bed. Meditate, fast, looksmax, skincare, work on business, create content, drink a gallon of water, work 12 hours a day, bright light in the morning, cold shower, take supplements and a million other things. Seems almost sociopathic. I mean it's literally like the patrick bateman morning routine. A rigid brutal routine to cover over the gaping void inside. Anyway, I don't know what the alternative is though. I'm on the same grind as you, these are just some thoughts. This lifestyle and these rigid rules suck, but I feel like the alternative sucks even more. I wish there was some other route, but I don't know what that would be. When you let go, you slide into a completely degenerate lifestyle where nothing gets done. Just know that if you start hating yourself like I sometimes do, I would at least want you to know that I hope you don't, because you seem like a decent guy. Anyway with the diet thing I can give you some recommendations as to how to reach those 2500 calories. I do the same thing - meal prep the first two meals of the day and then eat what my family makes for the last meal. I've experimented with a bunch of different recipes and found two healthy meal prep options that I usually eat. Overnight oats with chia seeds and jogurt for breakfast (you can make 5 at a time and put in fridge) and a quinoa + chicken and beans and kale that I make in bulk and then freeze for lunch, then add a homemade sauce on top.
this means a lot, i really appreciate the time you took to help me out. i think we can still be as disciplined as possible and push our bodies to the absolute limit… but all in moderation.
If you’re this analytical and know what to do, I think you’re gonna do great. Don’t let 1 mishap ruin your progress mentally. In 25 years when you’re thriving from your lifestyle choices, the occasional hiccup will really mean nothing. It happens brother.
It’s all good bro, understand that you will have bad days… They are part of the growth… expect them and learn from them. Just get your list ready before you go to bed, then the next day tackle the your to do list. Good luck brotha, keep chipping away!
I feel you bro, it's a struggle. Don't stop
thank you bro

amen, we can’t expect to be robots. but the better habits, systems and routines we set up for ourselves is what’s gonna make all the difference

definitely will keep going thank you🙌
While some days are highly productive, others are less so, and it's those less productive days that weigh on me the most. A key challenge to overcome
so true, make the worst days less worse instead of the best days better
Keep goin, dont be so hard on yourself, rest is good.
🙏🙏
