I am so glad I watched this, I was ruining finger nails trying to pry the clasp open but I saw how you did it in the video and it puts my Cronos on an even higher level. I frequently would use various blades or bits of metal to get the thing to open up, which I shall do no more...
Great video. Been considering the black for the past month or so, but after 30 minutes up close and personal with the blue version, I gotta say the blue looks very nice indeed!
As always, thanks very much for your objective and informative reviews on watches. Love your presentation. Purchased the Cronos L6005 black dial(non sunburst) no date about a month or so ago and am so impressed with the quality and the weight that this watch possesses.
Thanks for the wonderful reviews John. A few tweaks to this watch and Cronos can have full champagne watch 🍾 instead of champagne flavored lemonade. Cheers!
Thank you for this review. The finish/details on both the Bezel as well as the dial have convinced me that this watch will be the perfect replacement to scratch my submariner itch, as the blue version is more appealing to me than a Steinhart. I'll be picking it up next month since a Tudor Black Bey has just put a dent in my pocket. Thanks for your hard work and congratulations on your recent growth! Ps: Any chance you'll ever review a Grand Seiko? I've struggled to find a thorough review on the brand without excessive editing or other unnecessary "bling". Would be glad to see that on your channel as things are in fact why I appreciate your reviews, in part at least.
Thank you for watching Phillip. Congratulations. Excellent choices. Wear yours in good health. See links below to my; SBGA211, and SBGR257, reviews. Regards, #WR4K ua-cam.com/video/wltAG9bMg5o/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/tpEV_iR62tk/v-deo.html
Great review! I've got this previous version w/date. I have the black dial with blue bezel. I must admit, it's well-built, +3 sec/day and quite beautiful. I get excellent comments and lots of eyeballs on it. I love the adjustable bracelet. It's a keeper.
Nice review, i do like cronos watches i have 3 the pilot flieger bronze , date luxury both PT5000 and the bronze diver which has a fantastic lum. Your reviews are straight full of info with no waffle 👍
Fabulous review as always. I purchased the GO panorama date on the basis of your review, also the pagani speedmaster homage. I have now just purchased this exact watch. I know it will be fabulous. I too had a subby and whilst it was nice it was not great for the money. It went the same way as yours, at a tidy profit! Thanks again for the breadth of your reviews and your consummate attention to detail. I have absolute faith in your expertise.
Thank you for watching Antoine. No, it is a popular misconception collectors have due to the similarity of the SN017-G, SN019-G, and L6005. Cronos and San Martin are made by different factories. Lugyou manufactures Cronos. San Martin manufacture their watches. Maxi (Cronos owner) has never been in partnership with Liao Jiaming (San Martin owner). Govan (Ironwatch owner) was in partnership with Liao when San Martin was founded; and they still use the same factories for parts; hence the similarity between some Ironwatch and San Martin models. For example the RX8004B is very similar to the SN006-G. The L6005, and L6015, cases are different to the SN017-G, and SN019-G cases, and made by different factories. The PT5000 movements they use are coming from H.K Precision Technology, and the NH35A movements are coming from the Seiko Malaysia plant; but all the other parts are made in different factories. Govan split with Liao as he wanted to start his own watch brand; Ironwatch. Maxi owned Lugyou and founded Cronos. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k Oh, thank you for sharing the information. Anyway, your videos are at excellent quality showing us the pros and cons of the homage watches. Keep going!!!
@@watchreviews4k I would love a video on the relationships between the different Chinese watch manufacturers. I always wonder which watches are made by the same OEMs but sold by different vendors.
@@tims I am sometimes asked about this in the comments, and reply with what I know. However often brands prefer to keep the factories they use private. Therefore although I am privy to that information I have to respect the brands wishes and not disclose that information to collectors. Generally speaking the low-tier Chinese brands on AliExpress buy in parts from multiple factories and assemble the watches in their own factory; as per the San Martin business model. The exception to this is Pagani Design, as they manufacture their own parts, and assemble the watches in their own factory. Pagani Design also own, and manufacture other brands including; Lacz Denton, Pagrne Design, and Benyar. Although a video discussing this would be interesting content; it would displease the brands, and resellers I deal with; therefore I don't wish to do so. For example a brand doesn't want me to reveal the factory they are using, and the wholesale price per piece they are paying for parts; as this private information is useful to rival brands competing with them within the same market. It's a common misconception that collectors have that one factory makes watches for multiple brands. The reality is is many brands operate independently, as do the plethora of AliExpress resellers retailing their watches. Pagani Design are a watch factory, rather than retailer. They wholesale to multiple resellers. Those resellers retail the watches at a profit over wholesale. San Martin operate a different business model, as they are both a watch factory; and retailer via their site, and AliExpress store. They also wholesale to multiple Agents. The Agents retail at a profit over retail. However the retail they are allowed to sell is controlled by Liao Jiaming (San Martin owner) to avoid Agents undercutting each other, or the San Martin site and store. Pagani Design allow the resellers to set their own retail prices, they just determine the wholesale price. The low-tier (under 400 USD) is highly competitive. Pagani Design dominates the under 150 USD price point, and San Martin dominates the under 400 USD price point; rather than them trying to compete with each other. However Pagani Design's recent use of the PT5000 means they are trying to move up from the 150 USD price point to 200 USD within the low-tier. With regards to resellers; often collector have the misconception that "Official Store" means they are dealing direct with the brand. In reality they are just dealing with one of many of the brands resellers. A brand like San Martin will buy in; movements, cases, dials, hands, bracelets, clasps, bezels, etc, all from different factories. So you see it would be an enormous topic to cover in one video as each brand uses 7+ factories supplying parts to make a watch which they assemble. Regards, #WR4K
I have the date version with a PT5000 and the blue color like this. Absolutely love this watch, it's the first Chinese made watch that is good enough to replace my Steinhart Ocean One 39 as a daily wear. The PT5000 variant I have has a wonderful crown action too, not quite as stiff as my SW200 in the Steinhart. Edit: Oh! And the PT5000 is keeping -1 second a day for me so far over the past week. Absolutely stunned by that. My steinhart is +4 ish.
Ok, I figured it out now! The problem I had with previous version is fixed defenitely. You remember we talked about that case looking like big square but the problem was not bezel/case ratio. The scalops on the bezel are sticking more and are deeper on this new version! I did a few screenshots with older version and it is night and day difference. Older version had 0 grip... this is just great cause I am looking for no date sub to add it to my colection! I woukd be even happier with pt5000 but this nh35 can be regulated reaļly good as shown in the video. Btw I love my wr4k milsub so much I can't stop looking at it! Great review as always :)
Thank you for watching Marko. Yes, the scallops on the bezel seem different to the L6005 I previously reviewed. I think Cronos have changed the L6015 case and bezel. This bezel feels grippy, but doesn't have sharp points on the tips of the teeth like a Rolex Submariner. As stated in my review, I prefer the feeling of this bezel, they got the grip of the teeth just right. Also the resistance is just right too, not to light or heavy. I am glad you enjoy your WR4K, as I know you had a long frustrating wait for it. Wear yours in good health. Regards, #WR4K
Nice video mate! I'm really wondering how good the green bezel on this model would look like. Seems like they have finally nailed the correct tone. San Martins new Starbucks has an incredible bezel color for example
I agree! I have the Cronos GMT. Bought it in the summer sale last year. I absolutely love it. Comfortable fit, quality watch. The only thing I disagree on is the shiny one piece logo with the stripe underneath it. (You used to see that sort of thing on '90's cars).Cheaper to make it one piece than seperate letters. It looks quite sloppy in my opinion. The gloss I could do without. It should've been the cronos logo above and the name underneath in white paint. That would've made it my daily wear for sure. Well done review!
Thanks for the review, I appreciate that you review affordable watches. Do you think that the Cronos sub is worth the extra money over the Steeldive sub? Thanks
Now this one has thrown a cat amongst the pigeons hasn't it? Its gorgeous simplicity and excellent finish make it a 'must consider'. Throw in that you've crowned it a #CWFLM and it's a compelling proposition. Another excellent review.
😲 omg !!!!!! So much for the one and done watch. LOL I knew you were going to say that this is going to be added to your collection. LOL how many watches in your collection now six or seven? I just received the Pagani Speedmaster because of you but I got it for $73 which was awesome. And I already have the San Martin black Bay Tudor blue homage which I love. Which one is better this blue or the San Martin bb-58 blue? Great review as always John
Thank you for watching Ray. I currently have 6 pieces. That will be increasing to 8, as I have an SN004-G Limited Edition blue, and PD-1692 Explorer green, incoming soon. I think this L6015 is equal quality to the SN008-G overall. Regards, #WR4K
Now have one thanks to watching this vid😊 . . +3 seconds a day, luv the clasp with glide lock, such a good system which makes me wonder why ALL homages don't use it, it wouldn't add much to cost.
Congratulations Ross. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. The Glidelock is a registered trademark of Rolex SA Geneva. Therefore many brands are afraid to copy it due to the risk of legal claims for trademark infringement. Regards, #WR4K
I recently acquired one of these from a local seller at 80% the import cost that I would've incurred had I bought it new. I grabbed it because Cronos impressed me with their 3000m Hydraulic Press Channel showing. I haven't been into collecting for very long, but out of all my pieces this is honestly my favorite by a landslide. Everything about it just right, down to the unsigned clasp. It's so refreshing to not have to stare at branding on every which corner of a timepiece. The only gripe I have with mine is that it's a L6015 and not an L6005 (with the PT5000). I also noticed that my watch's hands were aligned 270 degrees off (I can hear the date mechanism click at the strike of 9 PM). The second is a mild annoyance given that there's no date window on my model. Otherwise I truly believe this is one of the best every day wearer's watches money can buy. Absolutely terrific showing by Cronos.
Hello, love the videos. Please advise the absolute best Rolex sub homage is, Pagani Design, Watchdives, Cronus, or San Martin under $300, and under $200? Thank you for the if information.
Detailed review as always! If you have any sway or dialogue with Cronos, would you consider asking them to revert to the printed logo with hourglass symbol? It looks so much better, is far more legible, and keeps signage consistent across the dial, crown, and clasp.
Thank you for watching Nathan. I don't have time to handle to the admin of collector requests to brands. Feel free to email Cronos yourself: lugyou@126.com Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k Fair enough, I just thought you might have some influence with Cronos given what you accomplished with Pagani Design. I'll email them; in the meantime, I'm curious whether you agree with me on the logo?
@@nathanbrunk9243 "Fair enough, I just thought you might have some influence with Cronos given what you accomplished with Pagani Design." Nathan, I have 343 videos on my channel with thousands of comments. Including a plethora of comments from collectors like yourself asking; can you ask X brand to make this change to X watch? Replying to comments across my 343 videos daily is already a time sink. I don't have the time available to handle the admin of collector requests to brands in addition to this. Unfortunately collectors think because I have a watch channel, and deal directly with brands; I am then a communications portal between the collector and brand. The same applies when collectors have a QC or warranty claim problem with their watch. They use my comments section like an AliExpress dispute process; asking me to speak to the brand to resolve their issue. Or alternatively they email me asking same. "I'm curious whether you agree with me on the logo?" No. I prefer the current applied silver logo. Cronos still offer their printed logo as an option for those that prefer it to the applied logo. One can request this messaging their store at the point of ordering. Regards, #WR4K
I never really liked the Rolex blue color they use. I own the dated version of this watch with the pt5000 and I prefer it to the Smurf no question. I also own the non-burst black version with a fully lumed bezel and I would say to anyone on the fence about whether it’s worth the extra $25 that I don’t think it is. The lume on the dial is pretty incredible. The lume on the bezel is good but it isn’t quite as good. I don’t know how they could make it match. There’s not a big enough well for lume to be applied. That kind of bugs me a bit. I wish I would’ve just purchased two non lumed bezels. The watch really is incredible. Hope this helps.
Thank you for watching Matt. I prefer glossy enamel dials to sunburst, and matte dials. I concur with your sentiments regarding Rolex blue dials. Rolex did for a time use a matte blue dial in the 116613LB "Bluesy" as per the Smurf, but then changed it to sunburst blue. I always thought the Smurf bezel and dial were too light in tone. A darker Navy blue as per this L6015 would have looked better in enamel finish. The bezel is subjective. I like a lumed bezel, but wouldn't mind the standard one either. Agreed it could be improved, but this would inevitably mean increased production cost; therefore increased retail so Cronos would sell less volume. To make it better it would need a ring of BGW9 under the ceramic as per the Tudor Pelagos. This is more expensive to produce than infilling an engraved ceramic bezel insert with BGW9. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k I'm not disagreeing with you. I think the appeal of something different, like a lumed bezel, is a huge pull to the cronos subs. It's like the hands on the octopus kraken smp300 imo being superior to the Omega. The fact you can get an "upgrade" on a $300 watch that you can't from the big brands means the Chinese homage industry will always have a home in my watch collection.
Excellent review! Many thanks for all your hard work and extremely informative videos :) Do you know if San Martin plan to release a no date version also? Kindest regards
Thank you for your swift reply. That's a shame as I really do like the SN017 and a no date version would no doubt be a hot seller. Do you know the effective lug to lug measurement with the male end-link of this Cronos? Kindest regards
Is there any way that you could use your previous videos to to a side by side comparison with the Rolex, specifically the case proportions, lug proportions and dial proportions?

Thanks for another great review just ordered mine! Looking to get into modding and would appreciate good place to start, watches and easy modds to begin with. Any advice greatly appreciated. 👍
Hello, I can't decide between the Cronos and San Martin, please help. I like the Cronos more for 3 reasons. 1. Option for full bezel lume, 2. option for No date dial, 3. glidelock clasp. If the San Martin (either sn017 or sn019) is substantially better in quality, longevity, etc... I will go for San Martin, if not please let me know if the Cronos l6005 pt5000 no date is a good choice. Also, are there any differences in the pt5000 and nh35 in terms of how long they will last? thank you for your answers, help, and informative videos.
I have the blue pt5000 L6005 Nodate full lume, and glideclasp. It is my fav. And I have many San Martin watches. San Martin has some sharp edges. Cronos is more comfortable and looks better. Lume is amazing. Both brands are great. You will be happy either way.
Great review, I was looking for a good Hulk Submariner Hommage, do you know by any chance if the sunray Dial and bezel of the green Cronos match each other and hit the tone of the rolex? Kind regards
Thank you for watching Alex. I haven't seen it in the flesh so can't comment. Often watches look different in natural light versus how they look under studio lighting in videos. Regards, #WR4K
I bought the Pagani 1694 based off your recommendation. It doesn’t fit my wrist mainly because of the 3 micro adjustment holes…there needs to be at least 3 more. Does this Chronos model have more micro adjustment settings?
Great review as always. Do you think a Sugess or a Seestern Submariner homage is as good as a cronos in terms of quality? Those two brands are quite easy to find on the marketplace back in my country, which Cronos aren't. *ps would love to have a San Martin but those are a bit out of my budget rn
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. I have a policy of only giving my opinion on watches I have handled. I have asked Sugess/Seestern to send me watches for review. Unfortunately they said no. Regards, #WR4K
I ordered mine when they were advertising that glide lock, and mine didn't come with it. It also came with a polished center link bracelet. They wouldn't fix either problem.
Thank you for watching David. Sorry to hear that. You must have bought an L6005? This L6015 is only available with the Glidelock and brushed centre links. Regards, #WR4K
I understand these are minor criticism. As shown in the video, there's a lack of female link on the bracelet to hug wrist better, the bezel glow seems to fade faster than the dial. Is this still acceptable when the aliX watchmaking game has reached this level achieved by San Martin? As such, is Cronos brand equivalent to San Martin?
Thank you for watching Yannick. "there's a lack of female link on the bracelet to hug wrist better" This is a Submariner homage, the Submariner uses male end links therefore female end links wouldn't look right. "the bezel glow seems to fade faster than the dial. Is this still acceptable when the aliX watchmaking game has reached this level achieved by San Martin?" It isn't possible to apply 5-6 layers of BGW9 into the ceramic as the engravings aren't as deep as the applied indices. Therefore 2-3 layers of lume will fade faster than 5-6. One cannot expect a Tudor Pelagos level lumed bezel at 293 Euro. San Martin are not offering a BGW9 fully lumed bezel on the SN017-G, or SN019-G. Is this still acceptable? Yes. "As such, is Cronos brand equivalent to San Martin?" The SN017-G is equal quality to the L6015. The SN019-G is equal quality to the L6005. Regards, #WR4K
Thank you for watching. Yes, the NH35A is more reliable. It feels more comfortable to manually wind, easier to push the crown back in and screw down. Also the price is less expensive. Regards, #WR4K
Great video! Would you choose this model or the San Martin SN005 GMT or the San Martin 6200 BB58? All on my short list. If you could choose two of the lot!?
I have a policy of only giving my opinion on watches I have handled. I highly recommend the SN004-G V3. For reference see my video below comparing it to my Black Bay 58. Regards, #WR4K ua-cam.com/video/u_mMwWphap4/v-deo.html
Beautiful watch The quality of its workmanship only shows that Rolex products in terms of value are overpriced This watch perfectly shows it For a fraction of the price of a Rolex watch you can have an equally great and good quality Cronos For me, the only significant difference is the mechanism of the watch itself It is known that the one in Rolex is different, it has its reputation and history However, it is not worth the difference, what you have to pay for a Rolex in relation to this Cronos watch . It should be remembered that the final price of Rolex products consists of a beautiful sales network, service that employs their employees for considerable money, etc. In the case of Cronos watches, about 85% of the costs we pay for the watch are eliminated Swiss employee costs, maintenance of the entire sales network in the world, advertising, these are huge costs included in the price of Rolex products Therefore, I believe, that Cronos, or San Martin, is an excellent and reasonably priced alternative at a high level Very good review I cordially greet you from Polish 🇵🇱
Thank you for watching Vinesh. Yes, excellent idea. A VH31 version would be very popular. It could also reduce the thickness to 12mm. I really like the VH31 as it runs as 4 beats per second, so the second hand sweeps smoother more like an automatic. It's also very accurate at +/- 15 seconds per month. Regards, #WR4K
Bought this one but the lume on the indices is applied unevenly, it still lasts good however I'm a bit disappointed at this price point, even my Steeldive 1953, had even lume. Don't really know if I should contact the store.
Thank you for watching. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. Sorry to hear that. Yes, you should contact the seller for a refund. Regards, #WR4K
John during your review I had a feeling you were going to add this watch to your collection. Lol. Now which watch is better and why ? Comparing the San Martin bb58 blue pt5000 or this cronos blue rolex ???? Thanks ray
Thank you for watching Ray. They are equal quality overall. However the PT5000 is a higher grade of movement than the NH35A. The latter is more reliable so I prefer it. Regards, #WR4K
My perspective has changed on the PT5000 Ray. Recently I have seen more reports of reliability issues. Therefore I prefer the reliability of the NH35A. Regards, #WR4K
Been waiting a while to see a review of one of these no dates -thanks to the reviewer for making it. It’s a shame they don’t just do a regular plain no date in black as per the original instead of sunburst
John quick question. You said this is $293 Euro which equals $283 but yet AliExpress has it for either 199 or 224 with the full bezel Loom. Did it go down in price or something why are you showing 283 when AliExpress shows like 199? Thank you buddy
Thank you for watching Ray. The price has decreased since this review. Also the price varies depending on the buyers country. For example I am in Ireland so the price is higher than if buying from America. Regards, #WR4K
Ali express are always running sale events just case of keeping eye on website - ps I picked this beauty up for £143 sterling - absolute bargain - steal for quality ❤❤❤
Hello! I bought this watch. If they have an NH-35 movement, is there a date disc under the dial? Is it possible in this case to set the time in the interval from 8 pm to 4 am? Or is this not recommended?
Thank you for watching. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. Yes, the date wheel is present. Yes, one can set the time between 9.00pm and 4.00am without damage to the movement. On some movements this can cause damage, but this isn't the case with the NH35A. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k Thanks for the fast feedback. These or Ironwatch RX8004? Which of these watches would you choose and why? I like both of them, bought Cronos so far, but I'm seriously thinking about Ironwatch.

Looks amazing. I'm torn between the black vs the blue version. I wish it had a domed sapphire like the San Martin but the clasp, indices & logo are better on the Cronos.
Even though there is a ghost date position, I feel no date wheel movement whatsoever. You are indeed my favorite watch reviewer. However, there is a repetitive nature to your reviews which can be very disconcerting and quite frankly, boring. Other channels make an attempt to entertain, and you don’t appear to feel the need to amuse or even vary the reviews at all. Your reviews are exceptional as I said, but I felt compelled to make this comment. I say these comments with all due respect. Thank you.
The bezel insert lume is not as powerful as the indices, hands, and lume pip. It'll be good if you can show a timelapse of at least half an hour so we can have an idea of how long it will last. By the end of the 2 minute 40 seconds lume shot section is clearly fading away, so having done lume timelapses myself before, I'll be it won't last too long. The indices, hands, and pip do look much longer lasting, but can't be sure until we see it in time.
Thank you for watching Martin. "It'll be good if you can show a timelapse of at least half an hour so we can have an idea of how long it will last. " I don't have time available to do this. Editing in 4K is a time sink which is why I don't edit my videos. "The bezel insert lume is not as powerful as the indices, hands, and lume pip." Correct. It isn't possible to apply 5-6 layers of BGW9 into the ceramic insert engravings as they aren't as deep as applied indices. One isn't going to get Tudor Pelagos fully lumed bezel performance at this price point. "The indices, hands, and pip do look much longer lasting, but can't be sure until we see it in time." Yes, the lume on the minute ticks, and Arabic numerals fade faster than the lume pip; which glows longer as per the hands and indices. Regards, #WR4K
Nice review. Having said that, at the end of the day this is an homage watch with a cheap NH movement. For a watch enthusiast, the Kronos is a beater watch at best.
@@watchreviews4k hello friend, In your opinion, is this Cronos inferior in quality to the San Martin SN0019 watch(envelope, bracelet, finish)?😊 Is the price difference between Cronos and San Martin Submariner due to quality?
I'd buy it but I feel I'd just be buying a replica Rolex Sub, what if someone points it out one day and goes "is that a Rolex Submariner" and the excuse I'll have to give afterward, it's going to be a letdown moment. I just don't think I could handle that
You can use that question as the answer. Why would I spend the same money I can buy a decent car for when I can buy something that pays homage to the design and not to my bank manager.
Just say, are you crazy? This is a Cronos. Then proceed and say that luxury watches is the biggest scam in the world and that you do not like to be screwed out of your hard earned money. Truth be told, luxury watches truly is the biggest scam in the world. It's for stupid people with too much money. The law of diminishing returns apply, the Rolex is not X times better at all. Besides, if you scratch or loose the Cronos you just get a new one :) It will serve you just as well and look great. Edit : PS, less than 5% of people will notice your watch and of those 5%, less than 1% are watch enthusiasts. I wear a MarineMaster (mm300) homage from Heimdallr (fantastic watch) and have only had comments like "nice time piece mate" once or twice ever.
Looks like a really well made watch ruined by copying rolex hour hand I detest the rolex look, just wish it was a short sword hand and I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Unfortunately I bought a date version with the PT5000 about 10 months ago, and it has turned out to be a real piece of crap. Looks, fit,and finish is great…but none of that matters when the watch mechanism doesn’t work. Right from the start, the winding experience was very stiff and felt like it was going through sand. The crown was also very difficult to push in and lock. The winding feel never changed, but the crown became more and more difficult to push in and lock. Finally, the watch will no longer keep running, and the crown will not seat at all. Basically, this watch is now worthless…it looks great…but it is worthless. Of course it is way too late to return it (not that I would even try), so I hope that my experience will serve as fair warning to those who might be considering the PT5000 version of this watch. DO NOT GET THE PT5000.
Thank you for watching. Sorry to hear that. "Of course it is way too late to return it (not that I would even try)" You may not need to return the watch. Assuming it is still within the 2 year warranty, I suggest you contact the seller. What is sometimes offered as an alternative to returning the watch for repair is they ship you a replacement PT5000. They also offer a partial refund, which offsets the cost of you having the PT5000 fitted by a local watchmaker. For example movement plus 50 USD. Exchanging a PT5000 is an easy job for any watchmaker within 1 hour. Alternatively I will give you another idea worth trying. Often the cause of PT5000 movements feeling gritty when manual winding is lack of lubrication on the winding gears. They then seize up as yours has. One can remove the case back easily using a ball of duct tape, then add a couple of drops of lubricant to the winding gears using a dropper. See links below to the lubricant, and dropper needed. One can then manually wind the movement and work the lubricant around the winding gears which solves the problem of the movement seizing. So your movement may in fact be OK, and just need lubrication. @@MikeOBrien1945 yeah I hear ya... warranty cards from China maybe aren't worth the cards stock they're printed on. Maybe a company like San Martin would follow through as they are trying to be a serious brand... Cronos maybe isn't there yet. I bought this watch over a year ago and have zero regrets. It’s fantastic and in my opinion is better than San Martin. Mine has the PT5000.
Someone said it best about this watch: “this watch represents everything Rolex used to be.”
Just bought a Cronos watch cause of this video. You earned a new subscriber:)
As always, thanks very much for your objective and informative reviews on watches. Love your presentation. Purchased the Cronos L6005 black dial(non sunburst) no date about a month or so ago and am so impressed with the quality and the weight that this watch possesses.
Thank you for watching Claude. Glad you enjoy my content. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. Regards, #WR4K
Thanks for the wonderful reviews John. A few tweaks to this watch and Cronos can have full champagne watch 🍾 instead of champagne flavored lemonade. Cheers!
Another thorough review. Thanks! This will probably be my next AliExpress watch.
Thank you for watching Tim. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards, #WR4K

Absolutely stunning timepiece. I've been wearing a San Martin SN017 and and believe San Martin and Cronos are the same manufacturer. Both are great.
Thank you for watching Bob. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. Regards, #WR4K
For this version we improved the bezel action, the back play is smaller.
I have the previous version of this one. I absolutely love the thing. It looks like they made some significant improvements
Thank you for watching. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health.
Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
It's not well advertised but there is a printed logo version available too at one of Cronos's 2 Ali Express stores.
@@rsinger2597 Yes, one can also request the printed logo dial when ordering too. Regards, #WR4K
Black and blue are with enamel dial, green and gray are with sun-burst dial.
Thanks for the review, I appreciate that you review affordable watches. Do you think that the Cronos sub is worth the extra money over the Steeldive sub? Thanks
Thank you for watching. Yes. The better bracelet with screw pins, and Glidelock style clasp is worth paying the extra for. Regards, #WR4K
The glidelock clasps on these have spring-loaded ceramic balls, which was a surprise to me.

Great review, torn between this and Steeldive - I understand the differences.

Hi John, just a quick question about the watch colour. Would you say it’s more royal than say a Navy blue?
No, in daylight it's darker more like Navy blue. Regards, #WR4K
Hello, love the videos. Please advise the absolute best Rolex sub homage is, Pagani Design, Watchdives, Cronus, or San Martin under $300, and under $200? Thank you for the if information.
Under 200 USD; Watchdives WD1680. Under 300 USD; San Martin SN017-G. Regards, #WR4K
@eviews4k great vid..👍👍btw, any suggest on which one that has less sharp edges..?
SN017-G. Regards, #WR4K
Can you please try to review the Cronos L6033? Any version
I appreciate the suggestion.

@@phil291254 What's the ETA?
They are equal quality. Check out my WR4K RX8004-B versus Submariner review below, it may interest you. Regards, #WR4K

@@watchreviews4k Excellent review. I watched it. Thanks!
Is this the best submariner homage to get for the price range?
Thank you for watching. Yes. Regards, #WR4K
Does it have “male “ or female endlinks!
And can you switcht to it for female endlinks by yourself !??
Thank you for watching. Male. No. Regards, #WR4K
Looks amazing. I'm torn between the black vs the blue version. I wish it had a domed sapphire like the San Martin but the clasp, indices & logo are better on the Cronos.
Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
Thank you.
Thank you for watching Jonas. Regards, #WR4K
I appreciate his no bullshit approach, some channels are entertaining and some educational, very few are both.
I may have missed it in the video, but how much does the watch weigh? Thanks!

Nice Review!
Wassup WR4K, quick question, are u a dive bezel or gmt complication man?
Thank you for watching. I prefer dive watches to GMT watches. Regards, #WR4K
Nice review. Having said that, at the end of the day this is an homage watch with a cheap NH movement. For a watch enthusiast, the Kronos is a beater watch at best.

Does anyone know the weight of this watch?
At 15 minutes 32 seconds I state the weight is 146 grams. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k hello friend, In your opinion, is this Cronos inferior in quality to the San Martin SN0019 watch(envelope, bracelet, finish)?😊
Is the price difference between Cronos and San Martin Submariner due to quality?
The SN019-G and L6015 are equal quality overall. No the price difference isn't due to quality. Regards, #WR4K
Nice one!

I'd buy it but I feel I'd just be buying a replica Rolex Sub, what if someone points it out one day and goes "is that a Rolex Submariner" and the excuse I'll have to give afterward, it's going to be a letdown moment. I just don't think I could handle that
Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
Don't worry about it. A Smurf is about $40k. Better to have this thing for $300 and be happy.
You can use that question as the answer. Why would I spend the same money I can buy a decent car for when I can buy something that pays homage to the design and not to my bank manager.
I wouldn’t respond and be secure in what you wear. Work on being autonomous.

Regards, #WR4K

The watch is technically under warranty, right? Sending it for service could be a big hassle, but could be worth trying.
@@rsinger2597 Thank you for watching R. Regards, #WR4K
@@rsinger2597 Not really a viable option IMHO. I base that on other’s comments when they have attempted such folly. Such returns essentially end up in a black hole…packages never seem to arrive, and emails seldom acknowledged. I’m too old to waste my time in such an endeavor. I’ve been quite luck, though, as this is the first purchase of many that has been crap. I’d still deal with Ali, just never buy a PT5000 again.
@@MikeOBrien1945 yeah I hear ya... warranty cards from China maybe aren't worth the cards stock they're printed on. Maybe a company like San Martin would follow through as they are trying to be a serious brand... Cronos maybe isn't there yet. You could probably sell the watch as a repair project, or I'm sure a watchmaker could fix it fairly easily. I have 2 PT5000 watches and both are good. The crown action is a bit dodgy though and I've heard others have problems too so maybe the whole keyless works isn't engineered that well.
