As far as chronometer status…..my L6005, with the PT5000, I’ve had since September runs at +1 seconds per day. If you’re going to homage Rolex, may as well homage the time keeping precision as well.
I have had 2 PT 5000 both run at Cosc standards similar to the Highest grade Sellita movements in my Sinn watches. To be truthful all ETA 2824 s and clones can be adjusted to Cosc, I suspect Sellita don’t do this on basic movements as there would then be no need to buy higher grade movements.

Great video! Just ordered the Cronos no-date version. Two reasons... 1.) I'm not sure why, but the Cronos uses a crystal that sits slightly above the bezel. While I don't mind the boxed look of the crystal, I do think the cyclops draws unneeded attention to it. 2.) I am becoming more of a fan of the "symmetrical" look of the dial on no-date models. This also negates the cylops magnification/alignment issue. But all things considered I would have to agree that there is a certain "look" about the Cronos that gives it a more refined appearance compared to the San Martin. IMO, Cronos should offer a flat crystal with the correct magnification on the cyclops. This would be the ultimate Submariner homage at just under $250. Could probably be a DIY project for most watch enthusiasts, and you could still keep the total cost below $300.
