Based on your excellent review (not to mention really digging the style of this watch), I decided to pull the trigger on buying it. Just wanted to say thanks for your rigorous and thorough reviews as well as for the $10 discount code.... should we ever meet, I owe you lunch!
This is the type of review, that will be missing from UA-cam… Honest and critical, but fair! I agree it could use some branding on the clasp and crown. I feel like this could’ve used quick release springbars, the cutouts are large enough it looks like. Overall I really like this piece, unique looks and not another Rolex Homage. Nice case design and good lume. And the red accents of the dial add interest to the piece. In addition, it could look great on a plethora of different straps! Thanks for this review! Was rather enjoyable!
Nice and informative review, as always, thanks for that! Including a cool explanation of the PT 5000 ; interesting backround knowledge. I think it´s a really nice watch, I didn´t have the original on my radar. But now it is!, primarily because of the price of the original Serica, which is only 1000 Euro. So the difference between the original and the "hommage" is not great enough for me to buy the IX&DAO. This watch could have the potential to cheer again the discussion about watches being "Fake" or "Hommage".
I've been wearing watch for a week since receiving it from Ali X. Mine does have the slight bezel misalignment - no big deal- but there's absolutely no problem with the case finishing on mine . One thing I do find is that the lume fades quickly on the hands which is a deal breaker for me, let's hope they improve it for V2. It's certainly an interesting watch

@WR4K There is a V2 being released next month. I checked with the Heimdallr store advertising it and they stated, “A change has been made to the watch ring”. I assume they mean bezel. Thanks for the detailed review.
7:04 to 8:45 I thought I was imaging it or maybe in a time loop. Almost verbatim the "3 and minute marker/ indices" alignment, is repeated 3 times. Each time as if it was the first mention.
One of the most important elements of the very beautiful Serica design is that big (height and diameter) crown and you didn't mention that 😉 Apart of that: great video as usual 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

It's a beautiful design but there is just one thing that bugs me. Why are their sub divisions on the bezel BEFORE the 12? Makes no sense to me. No one seems able to explain how it's useful.
Usually dive bezels have minute ticks from 0-15 or 0-20 minutes to time the decompression. The Serica 5303 which this is a homage of has the ticks in reverse, from 60 back to 40 minutes. So the reason is it copies the Serica 5303 bezel. Why did Serica do this, rather than 0-20 minutes? That is a question only they can answer. Regards, #WR4K
