I have all those 12v train sets from my childhood. They are the best trains Lego has ever offered. Every now and then I set them up in our guestroom. They are up to 40 years old and still everything is working. Even the light bricks.
I wished for those train sets as a child, but all that I got was the blue and white train waggon (no rails!). I by now have acquired most sets sans 7750 and 7727. I doubt I'll get the 7750 as it is quite costly.
@@pastajensen my first train was 7730, followed by 7727, which is one of my favourites. I also got 7740 and 7745. My favourite is my 7750. It's just beautiful. All sets with red motors are now unfortunately extremely costly. The best accessory is the automated level crossing 7786. Since I had a pair of switches and a signal for every train, I could run them all at the same time on my layout. It was and still is fantastic.
That's great, especially with all the boxes! I am personally not a great fan of the 12v train system, but some of the trains and accessoires are really cool.
The rail system is so and so, but the system in total is cool, would love if LEGO brought back stuff like this (motorized points, de-couplers etc..). This is also sets I wished for as a child :D
Oh yes, I remember the trains being quite zippy on the 12V system. I had the 7740 Intercity Passenger Train and the same crossing as a child. I fell into a bout of nostalgia and reacquired 7740 last weekend.
Yes and the de-coupler is also intriguing, I'm searching trough Bricklink as we speak. I also need rubbers for the train as it have some trouble with the traction at lower speeds.
Very cool ,Lego system road

That's a nice one. I have that on my "to get" list.
Welcome to the family, mate!
This was the start of digging me into the 12V hole. It was a good find. 🎉
nice, and what speed on that train. Will be awesome to look how all of the city is coming along :) Which is pretty cool already :)
Yes, it's a never-ending project, waiting for a table to put these sets on.
Hey, nice! You even got them with boxes! Very clean little layout there. Signals next? :)

That is just plain cool.
Thanks :)
