I've been to every one of these Rebel Finance courses. Thankyou so much for them. I find that they are great reminders.. Even if I am doing well. Alan, I still remember the day I got an email from you and you asked me, What I am trying to optimise for... Well since then I have made a few changes to my life and choosing happiness and good times with my boy is one of my choices. And ya know what? I have found that I have still got to FI. And had a great time along the way. Sometimes a small change or a simple question that leads to change can make all the difference.
And for all those who think that they will never get there or who think that they are too old....heck I'm 57!!! I do like the statement made by JL Collins....Reach for the stars... You might not get there but you won't end up with a handful of mud either.

So, have looked up the quote "you have to have money to make money". The credit is a bit misleading. The original quote is. You have to spend money to make money. This latter quote has a very different meaning
That is the original route of the comment saying that we have now. You seem to be on a mission to look for what is wrong rather than work out how you could make progress. I am starting to feel as though it is your attitude that is travelling you not your situation. Alan

A Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English says that “to get someone's goat” may come from the French expression prendre la chevre, which means to take the goat. Apparently, one way people could get milk was from a goat. So naturally, taking the animal would anger its owner.
