Hard to Discern through the Tube and Headphones, but #2's Tonality and Decay on the Strings appears to be more Realistic to my Old Ears! Mike, keep that Lure in the Water! It keeps us Alive!
Me, too! In fact, in fact, one of Mike's set-ups today is _exactly_ my system: Constellation Inspiration integrated amp with Lumin P1. And, I am SO happy! Just wish I had the Minuets. I have to be "content" with Harbeth 30.2 40th Anniversary speakers...
I stumbled back into this shootout and man, I’m glad I did. It’s really very well done. 👌🏽 And once again the #2 amp absolutely crushed amp #1…imho. Constellation 1.0 is more my taste.
Great shootout! I just got my new esoteric k01-XD and am in the market for a preamp (currently using SPL Director MK2 as makeshift), would you be able to shed some light on which one is a better fit, 325 or 1.0 (preamp) to drive my active ATC 20? Leaning toward the more musical one but no chance to test either, thanks a lot!
Let's get one thing straight right off the bat these two amps both sound fantastic paired with those awesome speakers. I listened several times before i could decide, in the end I had to pick 2 and I am not sure why I thought it had more realistic tonality like on cymbals and possibly knitted the music together better.😊
#1 seems to have more snap and pop, a crisper sound. I guess that might be the Solution? I'd have to be in the room to say which one is preferable for myself.
Great demo guys - thanks! Defo amp 2 for me - relaxed with more air. Amp 1 precise and tight but not quite my taste. Are you going to tell us which is which?
How is the recording being made? These songs are such well-recorded tracks but don't sound nearly as great here. I'm sure UA-cam has a part in it, but some other channels seem to have much better youtube sound quality IME.
Seriously? SunCoast audio is now playing into the myth that you can discern fine points of audio performance through UA-cam which necessarily is followed by another set of electronics and speakers/headphone? You might be able to hear differences, but not make any valid judgments about subtle performance parameters. The additional audio equipment from camera/phone, digitization, UA-cam formatting, playback DAC, amplifiers, cables and speaker/headphone all will color and mask subtle audiophile qualities.
@@highendaudio That’s probably what I would have said in defense. This problem is rampant on UA-cam. You aren’t alone. I’m all for fun, so long as we acknowledge what we’re doing is for fun only, not for making any judgments over an iPhone and possibly influencing where we spend our hard-earned cash FWIW, I’m a fan of your product line and have seen and heard your rooms at the Florida show and recently at Munich, where I met Florian of Clarysis. We’re both old Apogee fans. So, nothing personal here, only my caution about listening to high-end over UA-cam. I wish more people would speak up on this issue (including Jay).
@@Technical_Audioeveryone should go and audition. But guess what we’ve found? There are people who have disabilities that just can’t travel. I could tell you numerous stories. We’ve purposely done videos for customers who have called and said “I just can’t travel because of my disability, but can you please play these 3 songs on these two pairs of speakers so I can compare?” Would you buy a car off of UA-cam? Probably not, but it does help you narrow choices. Lots of folks love to crap on UA-cam and I’m glad my competitors don’t do it. But it works for me!
Number 2 for me and thank you for the youtube demos. You are almost the only one to do so and I really appreciate
My pleasure!
@@highendaudiowas number 2 the solution? I liked it better also

Mesmerized with Constellation...
Thank you!

I'd say to my ears #2 has more body, weight and clarity
#1 seems to have more snap and pop, a crisper sound. I guess that might be the Solution? I'd have to be in the room to say which one is preferable for myself.
I say number 2 is the constellation
More musical, relaxed but detailed enough
Number 1 is more impressive but not as listenable in my taste
Both great amps. I'd probably prefer the musically exciting of #2 which I would guess is Soulution. #1 was mellower and more full.
#1 is a more vivid presentation, #2 is more relaxed -organic, musical and tubelike, both are good. A matter of taste. I'd opt for #2.
Can I ask what device you are using shooting this video? Thanks, great stuff you have in your studio
Just my iPhone.

Yes, absolutely

@@daveuk1324 thank you sir! Thank you for watching!
I would be very happy with either electronics, however if I had to choose it would be #1
Were they volume matched? The later tracks seem to be softer.
We did. Pink noise, SPL meter.
Well a real spread across these two, I have to side with the #1 crew as well!

#1 for me
Are both these class A or either?
Number 1
The first was more analytical and detailed and the second one more warm and musical
First or second amp those Minuetes kick a.s
Which one went first please? Thank you
Soulution
@@highendaudio thank you!!

I liked the first one better
Like the #1 cos. has more presence
#2 sounds deeper and fuller…. Very non fatiguing during long sessions!
No 1 is way better! Is that coz its less transparent tho 🤔
By way of UA-cam #2 SEEMS FALL BITWEEN TYBE AND SOLUTION . #2 FOR ME
