That’s a little badass! And hey wait that’s @Tim Garren! WTF is Tim doing there? Congrats Tim, I heard a couple days ago! 😂😂
Wow, finally someone in America actually carrying this brand. They look great, hope they sound good too, thanks for the video!
I could say that Kharma speakers are most musical and natural sounding speakers ….. I mean, everything is in details :) :) But Kharmas and SET , like Lamm ML3 signature is heaven match :) great video amazing sound and system :) thanx
can these speakers be beamed? Amazing sound and presentation:)) thanx man :) :)
They sound almost identical. And what's the price difference again...? Imagine putting that amount of money into anything that actually significantly improves your system. I could improve this sound experiment tenfold with a couple dollars worth of pillows, blankets, or even used books on the wall. Get real, guys; hope you have a big ole smug smile while you swipe people's credit cards for this garbage.
Too bad you can’t hear. Suggest a hearing test. The difference isn’t subtle. By the way, what’s your system? Probably total crap. Most cable deniers systems are such rubbish, they can safely use lamp cord!
I did my psychology thesis on logical fallacies as they pertain to Audiophile syndrome. 😂
@@markrigg6623 and your experience with audio products?
as a Mcintosh owner im totally gutted. i will not buy any new gear from them. peace out.
How would these Audio Solutions sound with Boulder 1160
@@nathanread6546 that would be a great pairing.
Yes. I could hear the difference for sure. Nordost was more airy, dynamic and full. But the cost difference is beyond reasonable. Who can afford to spend that much money on cables?
I hate to rain on your party, but I can achieve the EXACT same results with a Hi-Fi Tuning Noise Destroyer ($250). This parallel device plugs into the same AC circuit lowering the noise from over 100mv to 0mv. And, I’m assuming, at a fraction of the cost of your Shunyata rig.
Suddenly all BOSE haters have become ambassadors for BOSE lol. Always sucked and still suck!
lol 😂 the 5 people in the world who spend $500K on furniture speakers agree with you 😂
@@tedanderson5528 5? We have over 12,000 customers my friend.
@ was making a point. They make no difference to the 99.999% of systems out there. If a hobbyist is willing to spend $1M on a system, yeah sure, why not spend $20k on wire.
@@tedanderson5528I completely agree. Whenever I ask to see the systems of cable deniers, they are absolute crap. In that case, we can agree. It’s like the Chrysler K Car society getting together to argue which tires perform best on the track. It doesn’t matter!
@@highendaudio yes 👍 I use nordost on one pair to bi wire my 2 mains in my home theater which does increase the range noticeably, but the rest are basically $100 speaker wire - if I had very high end speakers for the rest I’m sure I’d switch.
The deeper rabbit hole, there is even a lot less perceptual noise when you add the Denali v2 to the Typhon T2. And more noise reduction can be had on top of that with the Omega cords, and even some of these filtering aftermarket fuses.
YES YES! Totally. That’s what I’m using at home.
Former Double Matrix user here. It's overpriced junk. The fluid dispenser broke after a few months. Screws started falling out of the suction head after a year. This thing is only good for its vacuum, so save some money and just get a VPI.
seems you need to crank the volume knob way up in order to get sounds out of it
You do
Awesome speakers
Agreed
What volume level is the preamp at while playing?
What volume level is the preamp at while playing?
Optical is NOT i2s, never was, never will be. USB cables transmit digital; that is all they do. They add and subtract nothing, that is, they have no sound. Streaming if lossless, eg FLAC, is exactly the same as CD. This video is audiophoolery at its worst/best. Absolutely abject nonsense only tolerated by fools with money to waste on pointless, unnecessary equipment. You only keep a straight face in order to perpetuate your income.
Parasound please give us something class A and class A/B amps with tonal controls, Vu metres and a loudness button like the good old times.
Sounds great, that 860a is driving the m2s to perfection 👌 😮
I will take this system with any cables!
Having read comments about the website, I thought I'd check it out. The old website was pretty decent, read professional looking. The new site - WTF happened? I love Parasound products, and currently own 4 from the HALO range. I just hope the company is going in the right direction. Lot's of talk in forums regarding diminished support when things go wrong. This was one of the many legendary aspects of Parasound.
Great vlog .
I really dont mean to be that guy, but any audiophile kinda channels should use a mic please.
Not sure if you listened to the file, but its only music in the left side, and as it sounds severly compromised frequencywise...
@@gregerlindberg respectfully it’s on your end.
@@highendaudio I just had a listen again, my setup is Babyface pro soundcard, and it shows level only in left side. (Also using DigiCheck NG). Listening through my iphone its only mono, and when i clicked on the link to the song you are playing its a very stereo-oriented song. Clearly defining guitar in one channel and so forth. So it has to be the file somehow. Listning to just the phonespeakers shows the same thing. Mono. But not sure why earbuds plays both channels, (but in mono) and the soundcard plays mono in left side only. Just went through a bunch of your other videos which are stereo and sound like it should. This is the only one that seem compromised..
Oh sorry Aiwa. And you did mention it.
Or as the Akai rep. Lol!
You didn't mention your time as the Sylvania rep Steve.
Even if cables made a difference you couldn't hear it after room interactions to the microphone, through ADC, through UA-cam compression, through DAC, through amp, through whatever wiring and speaker is on the other end.
Mike which do you prefer the Boulder 866 or Luxman 509-Z?
Depends on the speakers and whether internal dac is needed.
@ using external separate dac and on either Magico A5’s or Acora MRC-3’s similar sounding speakers
@@louv4437if you’re in the US, call me. We should talk. For now, I would say, go A5’s with PASS INT-250, Luxman 509z or Boulder 866. I love all 3.
@ k thanks! Will call you!
Name of artist and song please
@@andrewarevalo8838 you can use Shazam to easily tag songs
I was curious what speakers Darren has hooked to the Class A monoblocks?
That rack is magnificent! Such a beautiful piece of design. One day!... I see you have some Nordost QX's ...4's? How do you find them? I just got a QB6 and have heard great things about the QX's, thinking about trying one.
@suncoast the website is too slow.. Let me know if I can help.
Ugly
No, ask the dealers is wrong to know the future . You say ask the dealers because you're a dealer. In the last 2 years, I spent $30k all online: Parasound, PS Audio, Amazon (Arcam, Eversolo), Denafrips, SafeandsoundHQ, Crutchfield. Bestbuy is the only brickandmortar store that I bought because it's easy to return if I don't like the sound (McIntosh). Yes, I've visited several local hifi shops but they're double the price for the same sound quality, and no returns if you don't like the way it sounds. ------- source=Apple Music lossless quality
The sad thing about the new way of doing business at least were I live , any custom install or home theater guy can buy the whole line through a distributor/supply house no questions asked which makes it hard for a brick and mortar store to carry it.
Can you pick a worse song?
@@tomdudnyk3235 I sure can!
The first 10-15 seconds from Darren says it all.
My video about PS Audio FR5 standmount speakers: ua-cam.com/video/98YsmYNLBbY/v-deo.html Class A and Class A/B amps are not what younger people (than boomers) want anymore. I’m 55 (gen x) and i’ve listened to $90k,$200k,$1m systems so i know what great sound is , but i don’t want big/heavy components over 45 lbs (preferably <25 lbs), runs hot, not have the right inputs/outputs. I want new technologies that sound as good or better than the old technologies and be lighter, smaller, runs cooler, have native Apple Music, and costs less. i bought new technologies: - lossless streaming: Apple Music - streaming/music server/cd ripping/native Apple Music: eversolo DMP-a6 - ddc with I2S output: Denafrips Iris - R2R dac with 3d sound: denafrips Pontus II 12th-1 - preamp with automatic home theater bypass, treble/bass tone controls, L/R balance: parasound 2100 - class D amp: NAD c298 - ribbon speakers: PS Audio FR5, GoldenEar BRX - sealed subwoofers with bass radiators - Cardas audio cables - iFi Supanova active noise cancellation power cable - IsoAcoustics pucks for speakers and components well known brands that the general public know that have done well is because they have great products that i have bought: - bose noise cancelling in headphones and car audio in my corvette and cadillac - Apple Airpods ========================= Regarding the video: lol, Daren at Parasound is moving in the same direction as me (Class D, integration with other components). The video said there's pushback from the audiophile community about Class D, but I want to say that if those same people are already at their endgame system and they're not going to buy another highend amp then their opinion does not matter because that doesn't translate into sales. But I already have the NAD C298 with Eigentakt (Class D) and NAD has an even better NAD M23, so that's Parasound's competition. I've just bought the PS Audio FR5 speakers, so I'm pretty much at my endgame, except for maybe a highend preamp to replace my Parasound 2100 (I'm now hesistant to upgrade $3.5k-$4k because it's not going to sound that much of a difference as speakers, but I would be interested in something better up to $1.5k with a return policy in case I don't hear an improvement). The manufacturers should be asking audiophiles 55 and younger to maybe 35 and have time (or whatever age that they start having disposable income, I didn't have it until late 40s when daycare expenses ended and kids' club sports ended) what they want if they're not at their endgame system yet.
Build more amps that double power rating 😮
For me one of the very first things they have to address is their very amateurish looking website. It currently sends out all the wrong messages. And I say this as a long-term owner & supporter of the brand.
it is very ugly for sure
Audiovoodoo is strong with this one, overpriced junk for flat-earth believers.
It is just amazing what an audiofool will fall for. Going to put a wooden volume knob on this puppy for richer sound? Maybe tie some crystals to the cables?
What’s your system? Please list your equipment list.
@@highendaudio I know that I don't need $2000 speaker cables to get good sound. And I know you would not be able to tell this PC apart from a Raspberry Pi in a blind test. Audiophiles are just freakin' bizzarre. And manufacturers of things like wooden volume knobs, dynamic pebbles, ceramic lifts so your $2000 Pear danceable PRAT-y speaker cables don't touch the ground, RAM that sounds better, NICs that sound better, CD lathes, CD pens, Hallographs, and devices to wave over your cables to align the molecules... these manufacturers know you'll believe it all.
@@shadowselfCAso your system is?
@@highendaudio My system is not built around junk science. You just want to know so you can brag about your "superior" gear. Being an audiophile, do you believe in all those products I mentioned?
Do you believe that PRAT (pace, rhythm, and timing) is a quality of the speaker cable and not of the music?
Love the music and then love the system. Bravo !
The one thing i don't see in the comments is serviceability. I believe there isn't a company that cares for their legacy products going back 50 yrs+ . Bose is not known for this at all.. Parts for older items may not be available soon. I don't mind the updates and new blood but there should be some consideration for the countless owners who really love their macs & want to keep them going. Also Mac did make car audio back in the late 80's and was an awesome setup. I do hope this becomes a thing again as car audio seems to be dropping in quality imho.
FYI:for these devices to doing anything this guy claims, you need wires going in and going out to the power grid to complete the circuit at least , otherwise, its just a big antenna to pollute your power
Can you recommend this amplifier for S3 MK2’S. Currently running mark levinson 432 and 326S. I want to take a good step forward and advice is appreciated
