perfect explanation on whats what on a carb! No one has explained it so clearly as you have. I would simply not that you should take note how many turns you turn your jets out and back in....
it anyone watches this video make sure that you reset your ECM there are videos on youtube. this is a must when removing your throttle position sensor like he did.Note you do not need to remove it to clean the carburetor.
Most carb issues are due to a clogged pilot jet. But if your Ruckus is really gunky then the area around the needle-jet (not jet-needle), aka emulsion tube, could be gunked up also. Remove the needle-jet by first removing the main jet. Then tap on the needle jet from the carb throat using a blunt punch. You could also use a 4-inch or longer 1/4” socket extension In addition, the auto-choke (automatic start-up enrichener) could be clogged like my Ruckus and Suzuki pit bike. That’s the 3rd brass cylinder/pick-up tube next to the main jet and pilot jet. That cylinder has a super tiny hole that picks up fuel to help start a cold engine. I used a super thin strand of steel wire from one of those braided wire used to mount heavy old artwork. i poked the wire with a little carb cleaner and eventually it cleared up. This is pretty critical for colder climates or winter time.
It par for the channel :) not the first time someone has said this and I agree. Most videos I make I say.. I gotta clean my carb tomorrow, I'll make a video the do it. It's it's not for you , sorry but appreciate as always the input.
Great video! Quick question, I cleaned my jets and my bike starts but now my fuel pump keeps clicking, I turned it off right away when I noticed it. Is it because fuel needs to fill the bowl? If that’s the case, is it safe to ride like that till the noise goes away
Would be nice, however in Canada you can’t find fuel at the pumps without the ethanol... so yeah, pulling the carb and cleaning the tiny jet is an annual must do event.
How do you put the bystarter back in correctly? Is there a trick or can you make a video? I broke the first one trying to reinstall it and I don’t want to keep repeating a 70 dollar mistake. Plz help
I have a question , does the ruckus carb have a brass?? seat in the fuel inlet or does the float needle seat directly in the aluminum inlet hole. I do ATV carburetors as a service and never seen one without a brass etc. seat , this carb may not have one or it could have fallen out during cleaning ????

Thanks I appreciate it “no name”
I would place my finger in the air cleaner intake hole while cranking at full throttle to help prime the fuel system and absolutely reset the ECU.

kill the music!!!!
Death to music!
What ever fixed your starting issue? You cleaned up the carb in the video but it still wasn't starting.
Can't wait for the valve one. That one should be interesting!!!
I’m going to try to attempt this on Wednesday wish me luck. I will follow your step-by-step
Omg I did and my ruckus is running a boss. Is running better then before. I cannot believe I did the whole Jets clean….
Nice! Thats great to hear!!
To bad I got into accident two week ago. The ruckus was f up so, he paid for the Ruckus cash on the spot.
As long as you are alright it’s a win
I got 2019 white and red stock. They can’t stop me I’m bringing the ruckus. NYC style
You should of done your homework and gave proper names for parts of the carburetor

Hi there, Very useful video! Did you have to reset the ECM system after you restored the carb? Thanks!
Good question few have asked. No, I have never had to reset anything with the ECU.

That carb isn't OEM, it's a Chinese knock off, that's why some things are different
think need to clean
Only use non-ethanol fuel and use fuel stabilizer as well - especially if you don't use the bike all the time - you won't have carburetor 'issues.'

Thanks....it was the slow jet.....replaced and it runs great.....
Glad it helped, not my most popular video but if it helps one person I did my job
These are just to much trouble. Whats up with this honda?
Did you put your jets in the ultrasonic too?
Yes great for that. Especially small jets
You need to reset the computer. Anytime the battery is changed or the electric component is disconnected from the carb a reset is recommended.
Or when taking apart I take masking tape mark them by name cooling lines, oil lines, fuel lines or vacuum and emissions lines.

Just subbed I like your videos
Thanks and just in time. Im getting back into the swing of things (making videos). As I make them Id be happy to take content suggestions
holy ADs I clicked this video not even gonna watch now.....
did you ever do the valve video?
It’s in progress , it’s hard to film since it’s so small. I really want it to be clear what to do
That looks like a knock off Carb... Not stock... I could be wrong.
Replace the jets, cleaning them is an option but play it safe and replace.
I purchased other one Ceasar because I need replace carb to 1986 KLF 300 Kawasaki ATV My dad paid $1000 dollars had it fixed @
Hey great video, this will help someone that wants to be hands on, 👊💯

This vid helped me a lot. Thanks man.
Glad it helped, its not a super popular video but I did my best
