I know I'm like really late, but if the previous owner of the hondata is uncertain if he unlocked the flashpro or not, he doesn't have the car, or the laptop anymore, but we found the new owner of the car. My question is, can I and the previous owner unlock the flashpro on a different laptop that wasn't used to tune the car?
If you flash back to stock will you be able to pass inspection? From what I've heard inspectors are able to detect whether or not the ecu was tuned previous to it being flashed to stock and can fail you for that. Is this true? I'm also from Massachusetts so it maybe stricter here than in other states

That's what I did the 1st time.. But I think I had a base map with intake tune and they said that its still showing some serial # or something doesn't match..unless they just bs with me. Then I finally uploaded base no tune and taking it back in tomorrow . so fingers cross.. Keep in mind this is getting inspected through mac and not our local shop.

+Rafael Vega You do not need to tune the vehicle, but you can produce more power with a tune. The Flashpro does include some basemaps, but may not always be what you have. You get the best results with a professional tuner.
I recently bought a 2015 Honda Civic si. If I buy hondata and connect it and then something happens to the car so I convert it back to stock to claim a warranty would the ecu remember it or would it be just like being stock
If you did not save your tune on your PC, it will be gone for good. If you are planning to switch between tunes, it is recommend to save them on your PC and switch between them when needed. This also provides a back up in case anything does happen to it.

William doutt You can definitely set this in the FlashPro, here is a link to show you where it is done: www.hondata.com/help/flashpro/index.html?vtec_parameters.htm. Keep in mind lowering your VTEC point (really a "window" in the case of iVTEC) will require some re-tuning for optimal power.

I have the same problem with my 15 si, I tried to put it back to stock and when I did it started to idle bad, I bought the flash pro new and I was the only one to used it, I wonder if you ever got this problem solved, if you did can you be kind enough and let me know how thanks..
Gabriel Guerrero plug it into your car and turn the key to the on spot. don't start. wait five seconds then turn it off. go to your computer and try again
safeel ali don't need to start the car for flashpro to work. if it's locked and car doesn't work you mail the cars ECU and flashpro to hondata for them to unlock it. if it's a stolen flashpro just throw it away you'll never unlock it.

Yea it locks to your car via vin# so you have to unlock it

does all hondata flashpro module are the same or is it programmed for the specific type of engine,model,year,turbo?
The Flashpro is specific for the vehicle. For example, the flashpro for a 2012-2015 civic si will not work on a non-si model or other years.

+cory jerin That we know of, it does not remember tunes. Hondata also does not see this as a problem.
PRO Car Studio. So there is no secret way that if Honda hooked it up to a computer they would see anything?
+cory jerin Not that we know of. We have yet to hear of any issues with reflashing and the dealer finding out after it was returned to stock.
I disagree, my dealership says I reflashed my vehicle to stock , and it was never flashed to my knowledge. They voided my warranty.
Honda's engineers have a snap shop of the ECU...

If there is an underlying problem, such a bad sensor, connection, or vacuum line, the code will continue to com back.
Can you unlock the flash pro and keep the turn that is already on the ecu with out putting it back to stock?
No, the car must be returned to stock before it can be unlocked.
