I love how the pages go together, the journal is beautiful!💜⛟💜⛟💜
I’m watching this lovely video a year after you created it. In it you mention having 600 subscribers… I see you now have 18.7 thousand! Absolutely well deserved, too. How fantastic when skill, creativity, industry and sheer loveliness win out!
Thank you 💐
Amazing idea!!! Have to watch it more than twice to remember how to do it😃
☺️
Adding the extra fabric to two of the page sets was a brilliant innovation. My book is mostly assembled, and I won’t undo it at this point, but you’ve shown how to make the next book align better. Thanks very much!
You're most welcome Judith...
Stunning beauty on each page!! Yes, this is an absolute heirloom to be treasured through the years. You should be very proud of your work. I am so thankful that you continue to create and craft new works all the time. You are a blessed, inspired artists with a soul that touches the whole world that discovers your channel. So stunning! Love your book! ❤🧡💚💙💜
Love watching you and I’m planning first one for my nieces little girl.
That's incredible - you are truly an artist!! Your trees are so beautiful; I love the green man. Love the construction too.
Yes, it looks like your channel grew very fast. It’s lovely to watch you because your are very lovely. Your delight in doing the videos is infectious. Thank you for making this video. When I was a young teen, I got stuck in an algebra class. I failed because I couldn’t imagine those invisible numbers. I did very well with practical math which included sewing and cooking. With sewing, you need geometry. With cooking, fractions. I can also do percentages because I needed to calculate sale prices. Watching you create the soft pages, I recalled the fun of sewing geometry. I could also imagine the feel of muslin (US for UK calico). I think you must of washed it, because it looked very soft. Anyway, thanks for the how-to because I needed to see how you made your stitch book. The slot and tab method is genius, and is another thing I’ll have to research. You are a fabulous teacher. Thank you!💕
Thank you so much Mara. It's amazing how maths is in everything and yet school can make it seem so dry and boring and take all the fun out of it! We all use practical maths every day I think....
Thank you for watching my videos. I've learned lots about doing them already.

Your book is exquisite Marion, so so clever! I love the dragon embroidered. My youngest grandson would covet that I’m sure 😊 thank you for the tutorial ☺️💕
I'm supposed to have a video on the smocking I did for that. Too much else has got in the way I'm afraid. I'll just say 'coming soon'.....

I did love creating him....😊
Thank you Marion your tutorial is very helpful...looking forward to whatever you decide to do next...and I think your Raven flapped his wings just then....
😅 He's definitely getting a personality! Almost finished him. Goodness only knows where he's going to go... He ended up bigger than I expected and has quite a presence!
Hopefully the finishing touches will make him able to settle somewhere without frightening anyone 🤣
Hello 👋🏻 from Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦 Love this technique - your work is beautiful 😊
Thanks and welcome to my channel.
Thank you, Marion. This is great. I think I'll have a go myself. ☺
You'll definitely have to do it!
@@marionsworld24 I have a few random pieces of stitching scattered about the place, so I thoughg I could make a blank book and use it like a scrap book to bring the oddments together. ☺
❤ Dear Marion, your youtube channel is so unique, peaceful and magical. I love all of your works and the amazing intricate details on it. You help me so much during a serious illness and bring so much happiness into my life. Your magical world is really valuable to me and makes life easier. I thank you so much 💐

I so much enjoy watching you❤
I enjoy being apart of Marion’s beautiful world! Thank U😊❤
Fascinating I’m trying thank u for all the info 😊
That is so beautiful. So much beautiful work. Your work reminds me of Eleanor Birchell Hughes. She is a textile artist and loves a lot of these same things you are doing.
I'll go and look her up!
That is so beautiful. Along with the lovely blackbird singing in the background, pure magic.
Your book is so beautiful
Thank you Christine..
What a fabulous idea..xx
☺️
WOW beautiful
So glad I found your videos. They are lovely. You’re so talented. I’m familiar with@Ann Wood. I’ve followed her for sometime. Thank you for sharing your work. Love your garden too😊
Thank you. I only found Ann's site in January, a couple of weeks before the Stitchbook project started. I was actually researching an idea I'd had and her site came up.
I'm pleased you're enjoying watching my fledgling channel.😊🪡🧵
Hi Marion, thank you for this very informative and exciting video. I loved seeing not only how you put your beautiful book together but also how you made each page from calico. I can't wait until you start the stitch along with your next book as I would love to join in. Should I make my calico book in readiness? The raven is so pretty too. You certainly keep yourself very busy. I had to laugh as in one section of your video I could hear the birds singing outside your room. At first, I thought they were at my place, so I looked out my window and I couldn't see anything then I took my laptop to the window and paused the video and realised they were coming from your video hahaha. I love everything about your videos, especially your gratitude to us all. See you on the next video 🌷
That bird was loud! My husband put the Merlin app on our smart phone. I think I’m going to try tomorrow to identify that bird.
It's a male blackbird Mara... There's a nest in the garden and he comes and sings on the wall of my yard. He's gradually coming closer to me and I'm hoping he'll take food from me eventually!
Hello Helen,
Don't make the pages yet. I'll explain more in a pre book video maybe next week.
That male blackbird is so loud! He is getting semi-tame. He comes and sings on the yard wall when I'm outside and has come with his chick for seed to within about 2 feet of me when I'm sewing outside. I talk to him now in the hopes he'll get used to me and maybe take seed from my hand eventually...
Work room next!
@@marionsworld24 I love birds, especially blackbirds. I think they’re nesting and fledging now, because they’ve been very quiet.
A very interesting way of putting a book together. Such a hand-stitched book is always unique but yours is especially beautiful Marion. Looking forward to seeing your stitching room/space. Definitely wouldn't show mine😂
Mine definitely goes through phases of tidiness and utter chaos! I try to tidy everything away in between projects so I start fresh again. It doesn't always work though 😊
Would love to see your garden.
I'll keep putting bits of it in when I'm filming outside.
Yet to visit your 3D videos. Birds are my big love after dogs and cats. I collect feathers, particularly magpies. Ravens fascinate with the way they move in n the ground plus their other little nis with us. We have gulls despite being very close to centre of England so basically, as land locked as you can be. When I hear them I can image that I’m actually near the coast, Falmouth being one of my favourite places along with Whitby. They’re on par for me just one usually warmer than the other with its opposing being wilder. Porthleven though takes a beating to not be one of Englands wildest harbours.
I'll have to make a visit. I'm always looking for places I've not been to before.... which is quite a lot!
Great video Thank you for sharing
Thank you too
Beautiful ❤️
Thanks so much Marion, I haven’t seen this type of construction before it’s ingenious! Thanks for a sharing your lovely project. 🪡🧵
You are so welcome Sally.
Maron, I love your videos and explanations. I would love to do a stitch along with you. You are amazing!
Thanks Debra.
Very clever!
that is just beautiful
💐☺️
The green man is beautiful Marion
💕
Marion I think you are such an amazing creator. I love making things too but you inspire me to try things I never would have thought about. Thank you ever so much for sharing your world ,it is a beautiful place ❤
Thank you for your kind message ☺️💐
The pages are spectacular and I am amazed at the construction of your book! I’ve spent hours assembling fabric books that don’t lie flat or look as beautiful, so thank you!
👍
After seeing this wonderful book I can’t wait to see your next one! Please let me know if this book will be going on display anywhere locally and I’ll come to see it.
I don't know where I'd display it Susan.... Whereabouts are you? Do you live near Durham?
I get so excited when I see the notice for a new video because your excitement is infectious!! Also I am quarantined with the latest COVID bug going around the US- and I was so over the whole thing more than a year ago!!But I will be fighting fit for when you start the next book because I want to share the excitement and learn more. Your tutorials are pragmatic and clear-with the added touch of your years of experience. I’m dumbfounded that you sew linen garments- I love it !I didn’t remember that I had looked into Anne Woods 100 day challenge- I LOVE the look of her work but I just can’t replicate it- so I didn’t try the project. It is so evident ( to me) what page in your book that you started stitching what is in your heart and soul using her guidelines and inspiration! That is every teacher’s hope- to dream up the experience and see everyone take flight!! And now you will gather fledglings and on it goes!! I’ve watched UTube videos for 3 years now and have only commented one or two times- I decided that if you were brave enough to make them I could be brave enough to be one of your cheerleaders! Great fun for both of us! Can’t wait to see your creative space- already love all of the stones on the window ledge.
Beautifully said 🌷
Hi! I’m in Wisconsin wondering where Covid is flaring up. You’re the second US person I’ve seen on UA-cam with Covid. Where are you? (region if you don’t feel comfortable revealing your state) I’m triple vaccinated. Were you immunized? Geez, do I have to wear a mask again? Bummer. I hope you are well soon. 🇺🇸
@@maramakesjournals2319 Gosh -I’m so sorry to alarm you about Covid- I’m in North East Indiana- my friend thinks she got it while waiting in the Indianapolis airport. She and her guest visited me- then I got it -her guest returned home and now has it. I’ve had 3 vaccines- last one was 2/21- I got Paxlovid -Rx the same day I tested positive- which was last Friday I’m almost over it symptom wise- today( Monday)- of course I’ll still quarantine and I’m 77 so still take it easy for another week - I have learned to respect the power of viruses!! I’m not sure what is going on as far as “it “going around again- I read on the CDC website that there was a new strain detected in January. I quit watching television about two years ago- so I don’t really know what’s happening- it’s for my mental health- I find it much more productive to seek out lovely U tube channels like Marion’s World!! Again- I’m so sorry to alarm you- if you have more specific questions- I’m happy to answer- especially if it might calm your concerns
Hello Diane.
What a wonderful message you've sent me, thank you. Other than the fact you're poorly with Covid that is. I hope you're not too ill with it? I'm lucky that I haven't had it at all. At the beginning I was still running my gardening business so mainly worked on my own in people's gardens. They used to wave to me through their windows whilst I worked. My sister was in a bubble with my husband and myself and we didn't see anyone else.
I feel as if we're going to be on an adventure together Diane... I've only just started watching other videos now... I didn't really have any interest before. I think I'm just emerging into the online world at the moment....
The stones on the window sill are actually flint tools. I learned how to knap flint and made a hand axe and scrapers as if I was in the stone age! Super interesting too...
Thank you very much for being my cheerleader too!
@@dianemcgregor6412 I heard today that in-laws in Milwaukee have Covid. It must be everywhere! I’m 71 (one of my risk factors). We live in the country. I go to PT 2Xweek. They’re not requiring masks. I think we’ll be more careful to avoid proximity. Thanks for your reply. I read more nowadays and enjoy UA-cam. We just watched an Ava Gardner movie on TCM. I watch way less news than a year ago, but feel I have to know what’s happening in the world. But not too much! Peace to you.
How clever Marion. The tucking in is a surprise, so lovely your work. My fave is the dragon, his colors and eye are stunning👍so talented are you🤗🕊️
Thank you Yvonne. I really did love bringing her to life!
Marion you are a delight to watch, and that book of yours, well it's just beautiful. The raven is looking good, bit of a punk rock thing with the needle in his head lol.
😅
Brilliant. Thank you for sharing this system of putting the stitch book pages together. You made it very easy to understand.
Glad it was helpful.
Brilliant! Great instructions 😊
I tried to stay in view. I managed it mostly ☺️
Hi Marion I’m forwarding your brilliant channel to all my crafty friends! Jen x
That's brilliant Jen. I hope they like it.b
Thank you very much for that!😊
Your book and your Raven are both AMAZING! 💖💖💖
I also love your Viking ship.
New subbie 💖
Welcome new subbie!☺️ Glad you like them ..💐
😀I have kind of started with that 100 days for this year with Ann, but I have not so far made a start as far as needle and thread onto material 😞I will organise myself and make each page up as I can and then get them together in a book.
If you're in Stitchclub look out for me in there. I'm posting my pages every day. 😊
Hello Marion, Ive not tried the tab and slot method of handmade books. Good idea. Another straight forward tutorial on the method and embroidery is a very relaxing pastime and looks well presented in book form. I just need to brush up on my embroidery and find out my threads. Looking forward to what you are going to do for your new book. xx
I hadn't even heard of a fabric book. So it's the only method I've done. It will be interesting to explore new ideas too, even though it is a very satisfying way to put the pages together.
Oh Wow...I just saw the yellow rose and the bird opposite...absolutely stunning...exquisite workmanship ❤
💐🪡🧵
Thank you so much for doing a demonstration of the fabric book. I’m a visual person so it helped a lot. Everything you do is so inspiring. I can’t wait for the sew along with your new fabric book. The raven is really stunning. Did you make the whole thing if so is there a pattern for her/him?
Thank you Trish. There's no pattern for the raven I'm afraid. I made him up as I went. But Ann Wood has the pattern for a crow on her website. I made that first and knew straight away I wanted to make a raven with outstretched wings.
Omg!! That’s ingenious!
You’re such a sweet sweet lady and looking forward to stitching with you. Xx
That's wonderful Melinda. Thank you for wanting to join in with me...
You are so talented!! Every page is so beautiful. With your instruction, you make everything look so easy to do!
💐
What a terrific construction idea. Thank you. Also thank you for crediting your source.

Love your videos! You keep me company while I am knitting. Your genuine kindness and giving nature really comes through in your videos. I'm hoping you're a great success.
That's so kind of you to say Rachel. What are you knitting? I have some knitting to start and one I have to finish first 😊
Very clever. And Marion you explained it so well.
💖 I love the birdsong. 💖💖
Oh wow, your book is so lovely and the bird singing in the background was beautiful.
It's a blackbird that lives in the garden.. He has the most beautiful song 🐦⬛

Thank you, that was helpful. I started this project in 2023, but I’m now finishing it, I have 2 pages to go, so I’ll soon be putting it together as a book. ❤

Clever construction
Thank you for sharing!!
Very clever construction. I did one of Ann's Scrap Swops, but have not one or her 100days....your intricate designs are amazing.
I haven't heard about a swap. I only just found her site before the stitchbook project started. I'm pleased you liked mine Cinzia.
This is amazing! Love how it all comes together!!
It was a lovely moment when it all was a book for the first time!
I love this way of making a book journal!
