Funny that I watched your videos about Mantis and I tried the new 2021 version of Mantis 10 pro plus and that's my scooter of the year. The riding quality along with its portability, the scooter is 10/10 for me. Very nice review. Thank you. I never had a chance to ride 8 dual motor version. 😆
Hello, I've been researching my first purchase of an e-scooter and the Varla Eagle One was at the top of my list for a while. The Kaabo Mantis 8 is also in the running. For a similar price to the Eagle One I have found the Talenic TN-X1/x2/x3 series, and it looks like the X2 model is closest in comparison to the Eagle One. I'm a heavy guy (235 pounds) and I want to make sure any scooter I get doesn't struggle up hills. From my research I believe the 60v models will do better than 52v or 48v models in this regard, though I consider dual motor drive to be more important. Like the Eagle One, the Talenic TN-X2 has dual 1000 watt motors, but it is also 60v as compared to the Eagle One's 52v. My question to you is have you tested any of these Talenic models yet, and how do they compare to the Eagle One? What models do you think I should be looking for as a heavy rider? I don't plan on riding off-road much but I do want full suspension for on-road comfort.
i just want them to make a good commuter scooter with good range. I have a m365 pro and I get around 19miles out of it. But id like if I could get 35-40 miles I don't care about speed as much so 18-25mph is fine
Im really shocked varla didnt make #1 as many videos you made on it. I hope you get the chance to review the vsett 10 and 11 next year along with the NAMI and kaabo brand scooters
I have not had the opportunity to try a few of these scooters and look forward to the Qiewa. Their HQ is in Taiwan and if they are manufactured there that is a big plus. I plan to read your Top 5 on the Electric Scooter Podcast.
I remember me and my friend used to ride around the neighborhood all day on our 49cc gas scooters when we were young. It's awesome battery technology came a long way in the last 20 years
fwiw the q power 2 is $2499 and that *includes* tax (and there are some discount codes available for $50+ off) and ships from the US. I was toggling back and forth between the kaabo wolf king gt and nami, but was underwhelmed by BF deals available in US and decided it was too much to justify almost 2x the price for those (especially since this is my first e scooter (but have an ebike and and euc)). hoping I don't have buyer's remorse: wish the handlebars were a bit taller/wider and battery cell brand is not advertised on the q power 2, so not a great sign there and would have strongly preferred a sine wave controller, but seems like an unbeatable value on paper otherwise. note: reviewers have said it doesn't reach the advertised 60mph (closer to 45), but that's a non issue for me.
How can you lift that especially if you live in 3rd floor, I got a vsett 9+ plenty for me, the biggest disadvantage is 8.5 tires instead of 10 still it could be an advantage (more portable, less space..) otherwise its the best scooter but yeah if you are super strong the 10+ is better
What were your thoughts on the Ghost dude? I wish you reviewed it, but assume you rode it on that canyon group ride? I've only had mine for 10 days now... I want to pick up the Pegasus but Varla doesn't ship to Canada, so I'd have to pay $1,560 for it on Aliexpress... if I'm going to pay 16 hundred on aliexpress i'd rather buy the Vsett 9+ for a small dual motor scoot.
Hello! I want to buy a scooter mainly for doing delivery in the city with it. I cannot afford a very expensive one so the budget would be around $1000 What would you recommend?
I’m purchasing a m4 pro by IENRID for $499. 28mph range of 30 mph. With 10 inch off road tubless tires and has a 500w brushless motor. What are your thought on this scooter? Thnx
Lovely e scooters. I have 2 less powerful ones. Max speed 24mph. I’d love to get a 50mph scooter but I think my next scooter will be around 30mph max speed.
I'm just hurting myself more and more watching everyone have these nice scooters and I only have a hundred bucks put to it it's bean my dream for like a year now and I try to forget about it but I can't so I'm gonna put posters up all over looking for work
I have a question. I have an e scooter and my twist throttle broke. I’ve decided that I want to go ahead and upgrade to a trigger throttle. My scooter has a quick disconnect on the power cord that hooks to the throttle. Would The trigger throttle be compatible with any e scooter with quick connect?
I have a Vsett 9+ and I live in New Zealand. It’s an awesome scooter but other than the Beam hire/share scooters it’s the only one I’ve ridden. But I love it.
Wonder how you’d feel about the new Wolf King GT. You’d probably be obsessed. Faster than the Storm, way way more stable, and it’s supp to be incredible for off-roading. Looking to make it my 2nd scooter in the Spring.
I pre-ordered and have had it a while now (unfortunately haven't been able to put on as many miles as I would like), I've got ZERO buyer's remorse and can't wait for spring!
@@MrMikekenney120 F%#k that’s awesome, lucky you! I hear ya tho, I’m in the Northeast and scooter riding weather is at a minimum until Spring. That’s why I want to wait. and anotha 1, lol. found myself here again, and wondering if you felt the need to swap out the bars on the q power for some solids? same folding bars that come on the ghost and while I love being able to fold them to fit in the car, the bars are narrower than other stock bars I switched out long ago for wider bars..I prefer 720's but thinking of trying 700's... although the folding bars extend forward, and as the ghosts stem is leaned back towards the rider i'm not sure if I should get a clamp with an extender to position the solid bars out forward like the folding bars....
Really interested to see if you still believe the mantis 8 is still number 1 on your top 5 after the deck or neck breaking on your? I’m either buying the Pegasus or the 8 and I have been following a lot of your content on the Varla brand.
I bought an E-move Cruiser. The motor ceased up after just 39 miles and Voromotors wanted ME to PAY to ship it back to them to look at it! The problem with these things is that they are all...from...CHINA! Mostly P.O.S.'s
Different Mantis. This is the new Mantis 8. I had issues with an old model of the Mantis 10. Check out the Mantis 8 first impressions. I talk about both models in that one
can anyone PLEASE tell me what is the fastest scooter i can get shipped to CA asap for the best price PLEWASEEEEE, i am without any transportation right now and need something immediately
Hi, I have a Varla Eagle 1 and on a pass video you posted about a dewarbling kit. Can you tell me where I can purchase this, I have the issue at top speed.
Can anyone comment on the Mantis 8 dual motor from Kaabo USA vs. the one from Fluid Freeride? The latter is twice the price, but has hydraulic brakes, a bigger battery, and more powerful motors. But is it that worth almost twice the price? If someone has had experience riding both versions, I'd love to hear about it. Does the Kaabo USA version have issues because of battery voltage sagging? Jimmy Chang mentioned that in his written review.
I barely discovered solar scooters specifically the p1 pro and thought a review of that would b interesting also a video of the vsett 10 and kaabo wolf warrior x base model..these 3 are the ones I'm looking to buy and honestly I'm stressing myself out.....
Excellent review I'm a truck driver and just like somthing to get me from truck stops to restaurants and the like so 20 miles round trip max but ez brake down to put in the truck 30 mph is probably faster than I'll ever go so speed not an issue but off the line is as I'm 6,3 200pounds this gives me bit of a starting point to know what to look for thanks for sharing
I'm an owner of the Pegasus and put around 1000 miles on it so far. You probably need new Brake pads on the Pegasus. It chews through brake pads at an unreal pace. It comes with the worst calipers and the smallest brake pads I've ever seen on a scooter. It's the same brakes that come on the Widewheel Pro and they are known for being awful. Even worse is Varla will not recommend or provide any potential upgrade for the brakes. That's the one huge drawback of that scooter. If it comes with good brakes I would wholeheartedly recommend it but sadly is comes with pitiful brakes with no apparent avenue for an upgrade (according to Varla). Otherwise, prepare to fiddle with them constantly and change out pads a lot.
What transpired between your channel and Qiewa is what has my interest. This is one of many brands I am currently looking at...doesn't hurt to do little research.
