Hey, it's been a while since the last time I publish something here, I just didn't have time to watch as many show as I did some years ago, and frankly I haven't found anything new that caught my attention lately. So I'm just rewatching old shows as usual, and I remembered how sweet and cute these two where. They really deserved their endgame, not only becaude they were the only healthy relationship on that show, but because they were soulmates. I don't give a crap about whatever opinion other people have about them, i never did, but if you keep stanning chuck bass in this society, please, seek help. It's the worst male lead character ever created in a teen drama, like, even worsen than Dawson Leery (at least he grow up at some point, Chuck was the same shit person till the very end.) I mean, not only he was a serial r*pist and a cheater, but also he sold the person he claimed to love to not losing his hotel. I still cannot believe they destroyed Dan and Blair beautiful relationship, make her end up with her abuser, and turns dan into the villain. What a shame... They both deserved better and so we did. But i'm proud to always standing in the right team ✌️

I'm sure if Pen was loved as much as he is in You, all the fans would 100% loved Dair, people just didn't find him attractive and prefer Chuck (Ed) at this time (plus obviously the most immature and young girls love the bad boys, spoil : he isn't a bad boy, he's an awful person who never redeemed himself).
Also if the show was out today, nobody would love Chuck because of everything you said about him (abusive, cheater, rapist, sold his girlfriend for an hotel, was even racist...), like there is nothing good about him as a person and even more as a boyfriend.
Even Leighton admit it that Chuck and Blair was a toxic couple, that young girls shouldn't seek for a relationship like that, Blair was her true-self with Dair, he would do anything for her (unlike someone)... it's really a waste, it would be one of the best teen couple because it show when you start from a silly little teen girl with a crush for the bad boy, thinking it's the real love, you can change him from being an absolute asshole and awful person, to an adult women who find the right person, someone who will support you no matter what, you can become the best person you can ever be and what you're truly are.
For me, the love for Dan to Blair was always meant as a muse, an admiration, someone you want to see at the top meanwhile Chuck see Blair as an object, someone he should have because he can, he has the power to, she can refuse or go with someone else until he say so.
And your video is incredible, I think this song is perfect for them, there is a lot of Taylor Swift ones who fit them perfectly. Really a waste they didn't end up together.
I found YOU first so I had a different view. I'm a Dair fan. I thought they worked well together and had witty dialogue. I also like to pretend that when Blair left Dan he had a nervous breakdown and changed his name to Joe Goldberg. Also the scene when Blair is getting in the car with the French prince. And Dan is lurking around the corner of the building just like Joe Goldberg. So I take the scene differently.
@@bretth4988 I think you might be a bit biased cause you saw YOU first. There was absolutely nothing creepy about that scene you're talking about. Dan was just genuinely worried for Blair... I think the writers just messed up everything by the end of season 5. In my opinion season 4 had the best dair moments, things got a little bit complicated when they added Louis into the picture, but I really enjoyed the first half of season 5 till maybe 5x19. Then it all went to sh*t so badly. The ending pairs should've been Dan & Blair, Nate & Serena. As for Chuck they should've killed him or he should've end up in jail. That man was irredeemable and Blair deserved so much better.

When Blair says she wants to feel like a powerful woman but whenever she’s around Chuck she feels like a weak little girl it says it all. So many terrible toxic relationships examples in media influencing young girls. I grew up watching this, as have many others.

I will never forgive the writers for the ending they gave us. They didn't even end up being friends and it's not fair because Dan and Blair were the more developed couple. It still hurts.

Dan and Blair loved each other in the most meaningful way out of all the couples on the show.

Even if Blair and Dan had never become such a healthy and positive alternative, Blair deserved a much better ending. I got into this show a few years after it began and saw all about "Chair" but going back to watch the pilot, I couldn't believe that any show marketed to impressionable young girls would make a rapist into the "catch." The only consolation is how poorly Chuck and Chair have aged because people in the media, former Chuck/Chair fans, etc. have come to realize that Dan/Dair should've ended up together.

This is so sweet! 💖 I agree, they were so hated because they had the potential to be the best couple of the show (which they were). And now more and more people have changed their opinion about them, and realized they were wrong to support that toxic relationship.. in their defense, i think most of people that watched the show at the time, were just too young to understand what they were supporting. I'm glad now they realized it. Still, i think the writers shouldn't have listened to them and make blair end up with the person who truly loved her and respected her: which is definitely not chuck.

And more than anything, you tell their story exactly the way it deserves to be told. It's clear as day they belong together and your video compiles all the proof we need. If you allow me some small bit of constructive criticism, I think having a little less voiceovers / having them more spaced out would allow the audio to breathe a little and benefit the video. I'm so glad you posted this today of all days. It's really inspiring me to dive into taylor's new songs for vidding.

I think where the writers went wrong with this storyline is that they didn’t have Chuck and Blair move on from each other on good terms like other couples had in the show) and then the story line should have focused on Blair choosing between the Prince and Dan…….I reckon the GG fans would have been rooting for Dan and Blair then. It’s a shame it’s taken some time and growing up for some us to realise that Chuck and Blair was a toxic relationship
