One of the greatest tutorials on youtube period. Not even joking. Simplifies what would otherwise be a total pain and has amazing benefits for my projects now.
When I drag and drop my macro settings file into Resolve it’s not actually there. Any ideas? I’m in version 19.

Great up to dragging the setting file into the effect/titles. I even get a little +sign then I let the file go and then it never appears in the titles. What's going on Cassy. is there another working with a mac?

Copy the created macro file to: Macintosh HD/Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DdaVinci Resolve/Fusion/Templates/Edit/Titles
Congrats, you can now use your macro and access it like in the video.
Note:
If there is no folder in the templates folder, just create them.
Also, if you don't see the Library Folder: Go to the into your user folder, right click into space -> show options -> all the way down check 'show library folder'.

- When we make the macro, how do we add in separator lines int he inspector or is there a way to group the options? Want to make the inspector more organised?
- How do we turn on and off animations and then make them check options in the macro?

Does the keyframe stretcher account diferent frame rates? If a template is made on a 24fps timeline will it work on a 30 or 60 too? Also can you affect the text landing position after the fact? So if your making a lower third and it comes from off screen left and lands in the lower left like in your example but want it to land bottom right for another clip can you adjust that by hand in the fusion section or do you have have to make a temple for every possible location?

Weird, when I save the template and use it in the same project it works fine but when I then try it on another project the settings are completely wrong

I have followed this exactly but the step where I drag the settings file into the titles does not work, I have rechecked every step and it just won't appear in the titles once dragged and dropped? I am using a Mac if that makes any difference. By the way, I am in Melbourne Australia and I have registered for ResolveCON!!!! I can not wait to get to Portland :)

I'm still catching up with some of your videos, so if you've already explained this, I'm sorry! But let's go:
There was a time I created an animated text to use as an intro in some of my videos. The problem was that I created the text animation in 30fps, but all my video edits are in 60fps. The animation was too quick and souless, and I had to try a lot of different tools to simply "stretch" my 30fps animation to 60fps. Could you please make this problem sound easy to resolve, as you always do, in one of your awesome videos?!
Is there a clear way to decide on using key frame stretcher vs. anim curves?
with keyframe stretcher you have a set of frames in the start and in the end of your composition that won't be altered in any way. No acceleration, no speed change, etc. You just have the middle part which can be stretched.
With anim curves you have your whole composition which will be "stretched" or "compressed" or better to say accelerated or slowed down depending on the length of your clip of the comp on the edit timeline. Just to have the animation fit in the length of the clip.
If you have an animation (with no "pause") that fills your composition and you want this animation be played regardless of the length of the clip then anim curves is your friend.

How to organise macro with heading, name of session, etc..
I did this but when i stretch it the fade out takes super long and isnt as fast as the fade in?
my animation isn't exporting - I animated splines and keyframes into my transform node and they aren't exporting (even when I select EVERY checkbox)
Can you make a video about how to mask and track a shape-changing object? Is that possible? For people that don't have the studio version and can't use Magic Mask, it would be helpful to know if there is a way to, for example, mask and track a hand where the fingers and moving, so we can place it over some background image, etc. Appreciate all your videos and tips, super easy to follow and always easy to understand.
Use a polygon node (fusion) and check the keyframe button at the bottom of the inspector

Does anyone know how to do the reverse? Turning a template into a Fusion composition in order to change some things?
I created a scoreboard in fusion, I was trying to apply the same method here, but it didn't work. :-(
Update: I was selecting the template and keyframe stretcher before. But the first time I did this and it worked, was when I selected the template, keyframe stretcher, AND the media out. Then unselected the media out for output. Don't know what would happen if it was on though. But I tried this again where I drag select the template, keyframe stretcher, AND media out. Then selected all the text and shading options I wanted, unchecked the output for media out and now I have all the options I want and the keyframe stretcher still works.
Problem I Had: Please help. When I did this and only checked the text options down to the size, the keyframe stretcher was working on the macro. I tried to save it again with some of the shading options from tabs 1 and 2 from opacity, blending, appearance and the color options. Now the keyframe stretcher doesn't work anymore even though its still being checked for result. I was hoping that going into fusion would let me access all the other options that it had before when it was a text+. But whatever you check is all you can access and theres no way to get to the other options. I tried saving it with only some text options checked again, result still checked on the keyframe stretcher, and output checked on template. But now it won't even work that way. I can't get it to use the keyframe stretcher, it acts like it doesn't exist now. My template was made from a Text+.

If I save my project as a new project new name and then go back to the first project can I undo the edits I made just before I created a new project?
Shouldn't be the source end the last frame of the comp? @4:55 this would be frame 24 not 23. later when you play the animation it stops before finishing the end animation. The last part of the block is still in view. 4:59 and also on the timeline in the edit page at 5:21.

Am I able to put this into a folder and sell these behind a pay wall? How do I go about doing this as I want to make different templates and sell for people to use as already made templates?

You can open the macro again in the macro editor in fusion and select more attributes to publish

I'm doing the step by step you do in the video.
I made the animation, selected all the nodes, clicked on create the macro, marked the options that I would like to be editable, and saved it, dragged it to the effects tab and it appeared there to be used, then the problem arose
the Macro only appears within the effects of the Fusion tab, in the edit tab it does not appear for me to drag and play there
why do you not have snapping on… it was painful watching you try to line up that title with the end of the clip… 😂

Sometimes I forget to turn mines back on 😅. I usually turn it off when I’m doing a really fine audio edit that the auto sync had trouble with. Such as cutting an audio clip into pieces and having to align it without the snap effect trying to put it into the nearest frame (throwing off the timing).
