You mean you want to know if you can use baking soda to correct the pH instead of TEA? I wouldn't use baking soda to bring the pH up. If I were making this right now, I'd use an ingredient called "AMP" "Aminomethyl Propanol". Add it one drop at a time, stir well, let it sit for about 30 sec to 2 minutes, and test the pH again. It's EXTREMELY effective at raising the pH with a very very small amount so don't just pour it in there. For a batch this small, use it a drop of a time until you reach your desired outcome. You still want the pH to be somewhere around 3.5 for the quickest benefit of the glycolic acid.
