- The plaintiff says her neighbor’s dog lunged at her and ripped her coat. The defendant refuses to cover the cost of the coat, so she’s suing. The defendant says the plaintiff is a horrible neighbor who taunts her dog and even tried to kick his dog as she walked by, so his pet was just defending himself.

I work in customer service. Anytime I’ve been called names, yelled at or treated badly was by an elderly person. Never a disrespectful teenager or young person…always a senior. They can absolutely be mean and spiteful like anyone else

I used to work in retail customer service and now I work in the medical field and 90% of the time it’s always a senior citizen that’s rude or disrespectful.

First off it’s a television show and an arbitration not an actual law suit. Second, once it’s your turn to talk you’re allowed to address false accusations. People on this show do it all the time. If someone made false accusations against me the second I was allowed to speak I’d address them, which I did when I had to go through a work man’s comp case. I won.

I think the Plaintiff's Mother is right: that guy is bored and needs some excitement in his life so he bothers his neighbours. Sad really.
You have to be careful and pick your battles wisely because you don’t know what goes on in someone’s mind. I believe that maybe the dog bit her coat because she was arguing with the owner of the dog. Dogs will try and protect you. However the creeping up and downstairs was a red flag for me. He wiped something on the stairs and poured some type liquid on the mat. Could’ve been doing some kind of black magic. I remember my grandmother’s ex husband rubbed some black gel under her sink and wall, he was trying to kill her. This young lady and her mom think they are just beefing with a neighbor, but in his mind it’s much more sinister.
Thank god I don't have close neighbours....

It will depend on how long she owned it before it was damaged. If it was a week or two, she’s not going to bother to take off $5 or $10.
It did look like he was being sneaky, but then spilled/dripped some tea or coffee and then didn’t want to leave any trace of his sneaking and went to wipe the drips.
In some cases she never gives the full retail value of clothing items when they’re certain people but in this one she gave the girl the full value of the jacket and didn’t consider the fact it has been used and worn.

I don't care how quiet a person is, sometimes dogs will bark anyhow. I used to camp every summer and my neighbor had 7 toy poodles. I had to coast into my driveway, engine off, make NO noise and maybe the dogs wouldn't bark. One night I did that and got all the way into my motorhome and then sneezed. 7 dogs started barking. Any noise can make a dog bark. He is a creepy guy.
