Lived in L.A all my life ,moved to Las Vegas 17 years ago and I just found out about this Gem through a 1986 Movie Out of bounds. UA-cam the reservoir and found your wonderful video , thank you for such detail and video scenery.
I agree, it's a great place to hike or ride your bike! There were plenty of both each time I was there, and it still wasn't too crowded, either. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Thank you for sharing all the history that you share on this video and the Hollywood stairs video. I appreciate so much. I am going to be doing the stairs real soon. thank you so much. I’ll be using your directions to do it.
Such a great place to hike. We have never done that hike and have talked about doing it many times but have not gone yet. You gave some wonderful information on the dam and you did some really good research. thank you for this great video.
Thanks! You should definitely do it - it's a really nice, easy hike, and the Mulholland bridge is a testament to Mulholland's engineering skills & the lasting impact he's had in LA!
Thank you so much! I don't think they allow motorized vehicles around the reservoir, but I'm not sure. Although they do allow bicycles, so you might be okay with an electric unicycle.
Who cares about a dam in L.A. how about addressing issues like your exorbitant crime and masses of homeless folk , ....... rich folk from l.a. talking anything is just tacky now adays .... go help some people instead
And yet, you not only watched, but took the time to comment. I do help people - people who want to travel but can't, people who aren't able to hike, people who are curious about history, people who are looking for fun things to do in LA. And I'm very proud to be able to do it. If you don't like what I post on my channel, don't watch. If you have a different calling to help people in a different way, go for it. But YOU don't get to tell ME what to do with my life & my business. YOU don't get to tell ME what's important and what's not.
All the many times I walked around Lake Hollywood, I never once walked around counterclockwise. I can also swear from personal experience that they will indeed lock you in by locking the gate, and it is pretty darned tricky to climb over the barbed wire.
Yikes!!! I was so happy that there was a guard at the gate to let me out. I was kind of stressing about what I was going to do. A lot of people don't walk counterclockwise -- it's so easy to go in at the gate, rather than walking on the road.

Thank you!
Nice video! Is fishing allowed?
No fishing, the reservoir has no recreation at all, except the hiking trail around it.
Как это выходит, что мы не обезвредили их С-300?
Я не знаю. Спасибо за комментирование!

@@JasmineApple Whoa, you were indeed lucky. I was just fortunate that I was young enough to do the climbing. But, I used to love that walk. Cheers!
