You hit all the spots I used to go to in the 70's on my bicycle when we left the house all day. Its easier to get to the reservoir from the Cahuenga Pass side and this was the dam that broke in the movie Earthquake. A lot of it probably is closed off now but, we explored all the spots in the Hollywood Hills back in those days. And your remarks about being able to go to the mountains, the desert, the ocean and different cultures within 2 hours are spot on with what a man that I met from Italy said. That is exactly why he migrated to Southern California. He was the namesake of Giovanni's pizza across the street from L.A.C.C. on Vermont that sold pizza by the slice or pie. He hand tossed them so high his ceiling had skid marks, lol. Unfortunately his place got burned down during the '92 riots and he passed away shortly after re-opening due to the stress of the whole situation. So to end on a brighter note for someone who didn't grow up in Hollywood I am impressed about everything you know about it. I've even learned about some stuff I didn't know of so that is why I like to drop some crumbs for you to find in the comments.
Beautiful breathtaking reservoir view. I’m not scared of heights but have a fear of deep water. Thanks for this great hike. I prefer going hiking along with your vlogs than encountering a rattlesnake in person. Thanks for keeping Jah safe ❣️❤️🙏🏻🐕🦺😎
God, I miss Lake Hollywood! I used to walk it every morning before I went to work down the road at Warner brothers. There were about four of us who would meet up in the morning and go walking. It was such a great way to start the day. Not too many things I miss about Los Angeles but this is one.
That is Mulholland Dam. It also had a sister dam, the failed St. Francis Dam. The reason why Mulholland doesn't look like a typical dam was because the dam face was reinforced with earth to strengthen the dam and to prevent ongoing memories of St. Francis.
Well this vlog got me doing some research! Had never heard of Moby, and didn't know who Harold Lloyd was. (Yes, living under a rock syndrome. Lol) That fabulous house on the hill makes me wonder about the mudslides, landslides, and earthquakes. But it seems to have survived so far!
I enjoyed the hike with you, I remember years ago a lady was riding her bike & a mountain lion jumped on her head & shoulders bit her & scratched her up. I don't remember exactly which trail it was though. They said it was a very rare occurance.
Hello,. First time viewer. Wow, thank you so much for doing this vlog. For those of us with physical disabilities, who would love to make that hike, but can't, this was really cool. Gonna check out more of your content. BE safe out there.
I had to research it myself! I believe he's the grammy winning musical artist with a successful crossover album. I checked out his music, but didn't recognize it. It's kinda mellow electronica stuff.
Hey Jordan, loved this vlog. I wanted to see the Hollywood Reservour but there wasn't enough time. I noticed when you were walking on the bridge, it seemed familiar to me. I am sure there was a movie filmed there. Got to do some research.

I know I am very late on this, but this place seems like somewhere the Manson family might hang out at. Its scary there, at least to me. Pretty but scary. Love Jah!

I realize this will be a stupid question, but, who is the “Moby” you keep referring to?
