Love seeing people discover and enjoy my home state. 🧡🍊
Ditto. I was born in Nashville but raised in the western part of the state in Jackson. I'm beyond glad that Marie is enjoying our home state as much. I'm currently in eyesore Louisiana and I miss my home state a lot.
@@Brandon_Loves_Horror I lived in SW Louisiana for 4-5 years. Good food and pretty girls, rest is rough.
@@christopherr.561 Alas I really can't wait to move. I'm not gonna post anymore though as I don't wish to hurt anyone's feelings. Needless to say this state sure as hell _ISN'T_ for me. To each their own, though! Much respect.👍
@@Brandon_Loves_Horror I understand, I got back home as quickly as I could.
I live in Louisville, KY, but LOVE visiting Tennessee! My company acquired a company in Knoxville back in the day and I was there at least once a month. I got to see Louisville women play Tennessee and watch the great Pat Summitt coach! Our family rents a chalet in Gatlinburg once a year and we LOVE it. Me and my girlfriends have a weekend in Nashville once a year as well. I love your state!
Tenn in the Fall when the leaves are turning is beautiful.
eastern Tennessee in the fall will absolutely blow you away.
Bonjour Marie, Tennessee is known as the Volunteer State, but we might have to change it to the Mustang State.
The waterfall footage was spectacular. 🇨🇵🇺🇲
I love dale hollow lake the water is so clear and beautiful. It’s on the north border and I have been going there from Ohio for 57 years now. Since I was 3 months old.
and Eagles all over the place up there.
Fall Creek Falls is so beautiful. I went there once in 1980 with my parents and their friends, who all had RV campers. I was about to turn 13. We stayed for several days. I remember us all renting bikes and riding them all over, and swimming in the Olympic-sized pool. The falls were gorgeous, just stunning.
I was 12 in 1980, I didn't want to stay at my grandmother's all summer in Alabama so my mom drove me to Nashville Airport and flew me back home to Oklahoma in time for July 4th, when I got back all my friends were gone, my dad was a horrible cook, lol, if you search on youtube there is a video of someone driving around Nashville in 1980 with the radio on playing the hits from that summer, reminiscent.
Proud to be from Tennessee, it is such a beautiful place.
It's getting to crowded, to much destruction and yuppies, yankees moving in ruining it.
In the mid-1970s, a friend and I swam across the pool at the base of Fall Creek Falls and stood on the rocks under the falling water. It felt like gravel hitting us! If you want to see a LOT of Mustangs, come to the Tail of the Dragon (Hwy 129) near Maryville, TN. The road bills itself as having 318 curves in 11 miles. Large groups of car clubs of many different brands, make pilgrimages to test their skills on what can be a very dangerous road. Motorcycles are the prominent users of this road. Enjoy your visit to our state! Cheers!
I second this. Additionally, she can rent a Mustang, drive the Dragon, get a picture from one of the many photographers that hang out on the side of the road, and have a cool memento to show all her friends.
The Dragon is one of America's most famous roads, at least among car and motorcycle people. Even car guys in Europe know about it.
Great time of the year, but October is really amazing. The Smokey's is the most visited National Park in the country for a reason.
I'm a native Nashvillian now living outside Atlanta. FCF is one of my favorite places on earth. So glad you made it to Tennessee and that you seem to be enjoying it!
I can remember hiking down to the bottom of the falls in flip flops. My feet weren’t happy the next day.
All while rockn' it in a RUSH t-shirt.
Im tellin you Marie ..... The sun just seems to shine so much brighter when you are over here visiting us. Can only imagine how gloomy it must be back home in france when you are gone. 🌞
Greetings from Chattanooga, glad you're enjoying our awesome state!
The waterfalls were beautiful. I hope while you were in Tenn. your guide was able to take you to eastern Tenn. where the big mountains are. Hope you had fun. Pretty much up and down the east coast it is all green like Tenn. except in the cities. Stay well and be safe. Enjoy your summer.
Marie, the next time you're in Appalachia come to visit Franklin, NC. The history of this town is interesting and the beauty of these mountains is incredible.
From the scenery of that drive, I'd say you were in or near Johnson County, TN. There is a famous song about that county sung by a Texan with local roots. His name is Steve Earle, and the song is Copperhead Road.
I lived in Franklin for 20 years.
I grew up in Texas also with local roots. By local my people are from E TN, W NC and N Ga. Currently in extreme SE TN but lived in Brass Town for a good while. From one Hillbilly to another, "Allot" less Taxes on this side of the line.
The sense of nostalgia that I get from your Tennessee videos is overwhelming. I lived there from 1975 to 1982 (in Dyersburg) and you have visited all kinds of places that I remember from my childhood. Thank you SO much for this!
Fun fact about Tennessee Horse racing actually began in that state and for some time had the top stables.. at some point Horse gambling /betting on races became illegal so it all moved to Kentucky… that’s why the Kentucky derby
As someone born in Kentucky and now lives in Tennessee, I don’t know whether to be happy or sad about that!🐝❤️🤗
At least its still in the south all I have around me is cornfields in Indiana lol well I’m 30 minutes away from Lake Michigan so that was always fun as a kid
Love Tennessee especially east Tennessee.
I'm commenting before watching. I live in Tennessee and just wanted to say my mom is French and has now lived most of her life in Tennessee. West Tennessee is flat. East Tennessee, home of the Smoky Mountains, is mountainous. Now I'll go watch the rest of the video. The trash can, with the hand, is a bear proof trash can.
Honky-tonk, USA...welcome...but one small part of the 🇺🇸 psyche...casual, laid-back, lots of music, humid, green, churchgoers, southern mentality. Enjoy this part!
Used to camp there when I was a kid. Several waterfalls in that gorge. It's the highest waterfall east of the Mississippi River. Beautiful place. Campgrounds, an inn, cabins, bike and hiking trails, a lake, and golf course.
Tn. Is a beautiful state fall creek falls is a lot of fun been there many times. Hope you bought your bathing suit to go swimming in the Cascades
Love your content 🌟
That waterfall reminded me a lot of Minnehaha Falls here in Minneapolis! There's nothing like refreshing spray from the falls to cool down on a hot day.
Bonjour Marie! I'm so very glad that the weather remained good so you could really enjoy your time in TN. Sonic is wild! Their menu is HUGE! Drink menu alone is enormous. I always say if you can't find something to have at Sonic, you're just not trying. Many feel that Sonic and Arby's have the best selection of "sides" in the Fast Food realm. Yeah, it's kewl how you can order from your car and it is great if the server is on skates! Cherry Limeade has really gotten popular within the last few years to where many places now have some form of it to drink (some as fountain drinks, some in bottles, some as "mix and make it yourself,") it's really caught on! Bonne journee! ~Be Blessed
Welcome to my home state. Lots of great waterfalls in East Tennessee.
As a Tennessee born and bred gal... I'm so excited you came and had a wonderful experience. ❤
At one time, my uncle was the Middle Tennessee State Trail supervisor. So he maintained, or built all these fun trails you have been enjoying. When I a kid I tried to make that swinging bridge bounce as much as possible. My cousins were not happy with me.
You just helped me choose what I'm having for dinner. Sonic is close by and yummy.
What color Mustang would you like to have?
Back in those days the suspension bridge only had cables to hold onto- not the metal mesh to keep you from falling out.😮
Nowadays I like the gold color
It's pretty in the summer, but like everyone else comments, the fall is amazing when the trees change colors.
Those falls were amazing. Felt like going back in time
Magnifique Marie!
Marie, it's awesome seeing how happy you get seeing all of these places. These experiences will be memories you'll have forever. I loved getting to see your reaction to Sonic and how it's a drive-in. Did you take your shoes off and get your feet wet at the bottom of the waterfall? It's an extremely relaxing thing to do, if you haven't tried it. Thanks for bringing us along on this adventure. Take care and keep smiling!
Ohhh I didn't 💦
It was awesome seeing you pass through downtown McMinnville, my hometown! Safe travels
Votre bonheur est une telle joie
Born in Franklin, and my mom was a French teacher in TN for a number of years as well. Enjoy it.
I live in Nashville and grew up going to Fall Creek Falls every year. The Cumberland Plateau is full of other beautiful waterfalls also; such as, Burgess Falls, Great Falls, Cummins Falls, and many many more just a short drive from Fall Creek Falls. Fun fact, Tennessee is also the cave capital of the united states with well over 10,000 caves; many which are located in and around the Cumberland Plateau region. There is a very nice one in Fall Creek Falls State park.
Love Fall Creek Falls. So cool to see someone from across the pond experience this beautiful state. Go Vols!
Great video and awesome Rush shirt 😃
Im glad you got to go to Fall Creek Falls Marie. I live about an hour from there and have been to it several times. It is a beautiful place. There is a Sonic about 10 minutes from my home. Its great to see you enjoying my home state.
It’s really beautiful in the fall
Marie, you continue finding some of the most beautiful places to visit! Throughout your travels you have never shied away from a long hike or walk, and it serves you well, keeps you fit for more! I had to chuckle when your face lit up after hearing about the different options you can get with your Sonic Blast! Yes please! 😁 Great video!
One of my top 5 best states.
Ive never been to france but my mind is blown at the amazment of sonic drive in its like we take them for granet cause they everywhwre
Oh I love "Sonic. I have one like 5 minutes away by walking. My favorite burgers are Supersonic cheeseburgers. All the ice-cream and beverage choices are so delicious and awesome. Tennessee I was just there for a week. You probably wasn't too far away. Cool. Great video and I like your hair.
I live in Louisiana but go to Smoky mountains national park and Pigeon Forge Tennessee almost every year. Love it in the fall.
Very good video and Music two.I like the movin bridge .. Emotions🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
I love Fall Creek Falls!! It’s so nice there. I’m glad you had a good time in Tennessee where I’ve made my home for 35 years.🐝❤️🤗
Now you have to go to Memphis and Graceland to complete your TN experience
The bridge is iconic at fall creek falls. I remember walking across that with my whole family when i was like 7. My dad jumped on it to make it move more lol
It’s been yeeeears since I’ve been to Fall Creek Falls. Still beautiful as always!
Off the beaten path, drives through the countryside are the best.
Too late at night to think in French. Beautiful country. Glad Marie got to explore Tennessee. Glad you enjoyed Sonic too. There is one near me, but I’ve never eaten there. Have good week. À la prochaine.
Sorry. Have a good week.
Yes Marie, U are right about the time of the year. Whenever traveling to different states in the U.S. it is best to know what time of the year to travel there is best.
You picked the perfect time of the year to travel to Tennessee. So happy you are having such a great time and experiencing so many new things. Sonic is a great place to eat. Try a number 1 next time. You will be amazed. Stay safe and as always, have fun. 🤠
I've lived in Tennessee my entire life, and have traveled quite a bit. There's nowhere quite like Tennessee in May. You came at a good time!
That Sonic seem very small for ones I'm used too. Mines big white and blue and beautiful with a bunch of girls on skates taking your order and you can sit outside and eat if you wanted too. Day or night, it's great go to and get really good food. Very popular in "America.
I spent a good chunk of my early childhood up at Fall Creek Falls! Used to go there and catch crawdads.
You probably drove near me while heading to these places. Could have had you do some blacksmithing while you were in the area. :) Hope you had a good time. We go to Fall Creek Falls once a year with a church group men's retreat. It is a nice park.
I’m not far from FCF state park. I am born and raised just north of Chsttanooga in the rolling hills leading up to Fall Creek Falls. I’m glad you enjoyed the state! There’s a lot of hiking and outdoor activities and scenic views. 🎉
Thank you for visiting our state. I hope you're enjoying your time here.
I from North Nashville and love this video.. been to fall Creek falls and Dale hollow many times
Imagine going to a drive in with mom and dad and 4 kids.....yike!! but they did it.
Fall Creek falls lies on the western slope of the Tennessee Valley with the Appalachian Mountains on the Eastern side. It's all beautiful there and I'm fortunate enough to live in the same area just outside of Knoxville.
Love that you loved Tennessee my home state. I'm from Chattanooga. I think its the most beautiful state
So glad you liked it! I miss those hills and all the green, I live in the desert now and there is barely any green here 😢
Now that you have been to a drive-in restaurant, you need to go to a drive-in movie theater. The Wilderness Theater is just west of Chattanooga, off the first exit on I-59. When it was built, it was the biggest single screen drive-in in the world.
Welcome to Tennessee the Volunteer State. Proud of the place I call home and glad you enjoy it.
I am delighted that you actually went to other places than just the big cities of our country. Most tourists from outside the U.S. never visit what gets called "the flyover states". I'm in Kentucky and have visited TN many times. Both states have beautiful countryside and yes, you did visit at a good time. From June through August it becomes very hot and humid in our area. Great video!
Again , as I always say at the end of your videos, I like that you SHOW not tell. Let the camera tell the story. We want to SEE the places you are going (at least I do) and you always deliver. That is why I watch your videos. Your obsession with American Mustang cars is cute --- they are factually a great car if you like muscle cars. I am a decked out sleeper VAN man myself.
OMG I love the Rush shirt! Their 2112 album saved my life back in the day! I live north of Nashville. Haven't been to Fall Creek yet but enjoyed Gatlinburg. Lots of crazy "moonshine" there. Best wishes!
You were right next door to the Cumberland Caverns. It's worthy of a future trip.
I hope you enjoyed falls creek falls. I like it. I'm about an hour north of Nashville in Franklin, Kentucky. Just above me in Bowling Green, Kentucky is where all the corvettes are built and the museum. You might want to check it out.
The south is awesome! I'm in north Alabama, so many beautiful places! Many you pretty much have to find a local to find them, hidden gems
I love your vids. I got to ALL 48 lower states in the US as a truck driver, but it was mostly "outside". You're getting into the "inside guts" of the country I love.
You're showing me sites I never got to see.
Thank you! KEEP GOING!!! One last thing: Man, I wish I could afford a Mustang. Or, a Camaro to be honest. I'll take either. 🤣
Check out Tennessee in the fall when the leaves are changing! Come to Alabama. We are beautiful too! And we also have waterfalls, Sonic's, Mustang's, the Crimson Tide, and lots of other things to see! Welcome to America! I really enjoyed the video!
I’m so glad you came to Tennessee. So much to explore here.
I have not been to Fall Creek Falls in years. I need to go back
Grew up around 30 minutes from fall creek. Remember being terrified of the bridge, but I still believe it's the best waterfall in Tennessee. There are some fun watering holes you can swim in nearby as well.
How cool. Had our family reunion in May at Fall Creek Falls.
Lovely that you enjoyed your time in the U.S. Tennessee is a gorgeous state, I've traveled through it many times. Sonic has some nice items on their menu, I wish you could have tried more of them. Here's a pro-tip for next time: the limeades are great but they always drop the dang peels in your cup after squeezing them. After 10 minutes or so, your drink is bitter and not very pleasant to drink. A good work-around is to order a Sprite and then add the Twisted Lime syrup from their flavors option. Real lime juice is better, but not with the peels. Terrific reaction, hon, glad you had a fun time! :)
Good job, you went to Fall Creeks Falls. Very nice place. I live maybe forty minutes from there.
I have lived in Tennessee all my life and as an over the road truck driver have been to all the lower 48 states. I have seen some beautiful places but Tennessee is home and I have no desire to live anywhere else. I'm glad you liked visiting the Volunteer State. You should come back in the fall when the leaves change and go to an University of TENNESSEE football game at Neyland Stadium.
Welcome to Tennessee! I hope my fellow Tennesseans treated you well while you were here.
Hi Marie, I love when you take us on your visits in nature! I have one complaint though, you now have me noticing Mustangs everywhere I go!!!! 😀You should rent a mustang for the day, I think that would be a great experience for you and us! Keep the wonderful videos coming!! Thank you
My kids were born in Oak Ridge, TN, when I was a post doc. Always wished I could have stayed there....
While Sonic is a chain that still has car hops, there are some local drive-ins here in California that also have car hops on rollerblades/skates.
I've been to Tennesse, but I haven't been there. Guess I'll have to go. I have a nephew that lives not too far away. Peace, Love!!
Glad you're enjoying my state! Be careful: we don't the word to get out 😁
Definitely recognize that drive between Murfreesboro and Woodbury
thank you for bringing us along! 👍☺
I live in Walling, TN you are close to me now. Check out the other waterfalls we have nearby. Twin Falls, Burgess Falls, Virgin Falls, etc there are 8 of them.
She got excited about the train!
So many beautiful places here in Tennessee. Please come visit the Smoky’s. But come in the back way through Townsend. It’s a 2 to 4 hour drive of pure beauty.
OMG I have been working so much I have to catch up with your videos.❤❤❤ much love from Virginia USA thank you for all the videos
I hope you were able to visit Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains. It’s my favorite place in the state. I could spend all day out there. It’s so relaxing and peaceful.
The trash cans are like that to keep the Bears from opening them and eating/scattering the trash
Yep Marie there's never a shortage of Mustangs in America.
GGfather born in S Central Tennessee in 1854. Watch out for Timber rattlesnakes and water moccasins ;-( That bug is a millipede, they bite!
If you want to see lots of cool cars and drive some amazing roads you should get on out to Deals Gap Tn/NC. Be careful on the Tail of the Dragon, but enjoy all of the amazing roads all around.
You will see LOTS of mustangs.
I’ve hiked most of our trails in East Tn. If you liked Fall Creek Falls, wait until you get to the GSMNP! Go up to Clingmans Dome. Fall is best.
