I do love watching plants develop from seed. I've never seen wisteria seedling in person - great to see yours thriving now. Fingers and toes crossed for lots of vigorous growth this year!
Patience is a virtue. You're tested and proven Sid, hope I'll do the same. I have 2 2yr old wisterias. Just can't wait until they flower . Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing all your great journey.
I’m so happy I found somebody that at the same pace I am I’m just starting my bonsai life. I had a spiritual awakening and realized balance is the key to my happiness and how else to learn then bonsai trees
@@SidsTrees so I have a question I have ordered wisteria seeds from three different vendors and absolutely none of them have been good they all Rock they seem really dark and skinny can I be the actual vendors selling bad seeds? I have germinated countless seeds and wisteria seeds still the day not one germinated.
All I can tell you is that I have had no luck with wisteria seeds I've bought. With relatively fresh seed that a subscriber sent me through the post gave me a 50% germination rate. So in short, the fresher the seed the better. Stay safe
Your on-screen apology at about :30 slays me, because of course, I immediately corrected you in my brain as you said the offensive thing of which we will not speak. I enjoy your UA-cam voice so much! (And I apologize for being so anal about grammar.)
Every seed collected from visteria in my garden has sprouted, but the story always ended after repotting. So I'm waiting with the last one till spring. What soil mix are you using?
I started 6 seeds this spring and got 2 plants one has grown ok and one is tiny and then in may the 2 did a break and did not grow for 6 weeks but that is normal i think i was just under the understanding that wasteria grow big fast but maybe my plants are just slow starters

"Patience is a wonderous virtue. The more you have the less life hurts you." Or so my old mum used to say. Thanks for watching. Stay safe.

@@SidsTrees Yeah, same here who would you recommend to get seeds from?
Do you know anyone who has one that flowers regularly and could let you have fresh seed?

Thanks Beth. Never surrender. Never apologise. Oh, no that's Boris isn't it ? Carry on.

Hi Sid I was wondering how your Hawthorn that suffered from the frost blast and the top died off is doing?
Sadly it continued to die back. I beleive it was a fungal disease called phytopthera (probably spelt that wrong) that got it.
Stay safe Paul

My normal soil mix Kittyfriend Pink cat litter, potting grit and some regular potting compost.

They grow fast when they get growing but can take a while to get established. Then they are off!
