Blender Mirror Modifier accuracy lessons

1) Look at the Npanel
2) Look at Rotation values
3) Before you Mirror zero out Rotation values: CTRL A to
"Apply" the Rotation
4) Before you Mirror reset Scale to ONE: CTRL A to "Apply" the Scale
5) use SHIFT C to center cursor
6) Rt click - Origin to 3D Cursor

There is apply option in previous version of blender in mirror options......it removes mirror from modifier list....how to do it
