Sone neat trivia: Oatchi actually stemmed from the desire of expanding the different creatures that the parasitic pikmin could permit you to control with the first creature they worked with being a Breadbug since it already had the skeleton of dragging objects and having a similar logic to that of the pikmin. The trouble came with trying to refine the other possessed foes, so they dialed it back to just oatchi. I love these concepts and can actually bring up the Orange one. it's notable aspect is how it's "high strung", but also spots you from far away. This eyesight function can work akin to the White pikmin's ability to discover buried items, switches, or even dangers even if excused with "high awareness". Empress Bulbmin do have the issue that bulborbs don't take on the shape unless the species of bulborb are in severe low numbers and so one member becomes a "queen" who mass reproduces and having a mini version of it would be quite perplexing and would require some lore-re-writing.
something i think could make the icy bulbmin more interesting when thrown they could possibly curl up into their icy shell and bounce for higher damage similar to rock pikmin, until they're hit by any kind of fire making them lose their shell and as such all their icy abilities, something similar could be done with the fiery bulbmin getting temporarily extinguished when touching water but reigniting after a cooldown, it would make them feel more unique compared to other pikmin and other bulbmin
a breadbug bulbmin (breadmin??) could have an infinite carry weight potential but still only carry 1 and have higher height, making it so they can slowly drag things along on their own; could be used to have something that has a carry weight of 25 be dragged down by only 1 breadmin for the rest of ur pikmin to carry (or they could climb walls instead of higher throw)
maybe there could be a snitchmin? these creatures would have similar stats to winged pikmin, but they can carry other pikmin (they can't carry pikmin carrying other things, usually, unless it is something small like a pellet) this could be used to get other pikmin types over some sort of hazard, such as water or something Example scenario: maybe you need a rock pikmin to get to a blue pikmin onion, but the rock pikmin have to get over a water puddle large enough that you can't just throw them over, but the snitchmin could be used to carry the rock pikmin over the water
Hairy Bulbmin: Do not shiver in cool environments and they can attack dry ice or ice enemies, but against them they will only deal .75 damage. Although they can be shocked, due to their bushy hair they can’t be killed by electricity. If set on fire, haven got in water, or having had water blown on them for over 3 seconds, they lose their abilities either until having been sprayed by ultra spicy spray or drinking nectar. I feel this is just a worse ice pikmin that is better in niche scenarios, but I think it is a good concept of what a hairy bulbmin would be like. For orange bulbmin, I honestly don’t know what to do because the only reason they have their ability is because they are lighter sleepers.
Orange bulbmin could have have a small range where if a pikmin is attacked in they'll charge the enemy or call other pikmin to aid. Also uhh, Empress bulbmin can't exist... not as a small bulbmin because of how a Empress bulborb are formed and a Emperor bulbmin wouldn't have moss on its back yet as a dwarf
The orange Bulbmin: these are faster than the standard variation at the added, cost of fighting a stronger mother, the downside is, is that they trip more often than any of the other Pikmin. The hairy Bulbmin: these have a 50% chance to survive being crushed, they are also slightly stronger with the strength of two, the downside is that they move slower than the standard one.
0:25 Actually, Olimar states that the Bulbmin might eat his pikmin. Because Bulbmin are parasites that infected a bulborb, but the parasites cant control the entire thing, he’s afraid the Bulbmins hunger.
Bulbmin : imune to everything(minus explotion and ice ) can't carry Whiptongue: traverse craters and can carry objects and can lach on for more time Ice: resist ice and can freeze Fiery: heavy andmore dmg and more weaker on water Bulbear: heavy can patrol and can groundpound Hairy: imune to ice and lighter than the others
Here's another good alternative idea to the Emperor Bulbmin. The adult Bulbmin would essentially be a boss that guards a single young member or 2. Whistling the young after its defeat could actually cause them to become temporary additional captains that can also whistle and throw pikmin. This would be especially helpful in caves that require a lot of multitasking
I have an idea that will have a bulbmin based on the hairy bulborb. The Hairy Bulbmin:I inspired the funtion of this bulbmin from a dandelion you will be able to throw this bulbmin to let it fly to faraway areas in caves kind of similar to the winged pikmin but bit faster, and it will fall slowly. In combat you need to throw this bulbmin to let it bite the enemy while in air without being eaten and you can hold the throw button to throw a group hairy bulbmins this will allow them to stick to each other and bite together at the same time, but it has a bit lower health than a normal bulbmin.
I haven’t encountered an orange bulborb in a while so i don’t know much about it but I think I remember them having tough skin so I think they could be the WORST bullbmin bc if they have tough mushroom backs then the stem could fall off and become an enemy until the stem grows back and eventually doing this too many times it will die
The giant bulbmin you probably know where to get these, they have the strength of 25 pikmin but you can only have one in your squad or they start fighting with your bulbmin of their type (also you get one from each giant bulbax) also one can count as a extra leader but can only have bulbmin of their type in their squad they also work similar to the bulbmin that works like otachi.
How about an Orange Bulbmin which because of it's eyes can see in the dark but you, Oatchi and your Pikmin can't so you have to rely on the Orange Bulbmin to navigate the cave for you.
Feels a little too gimmicky, would probably get repetitive having to just follow it around, killing an enemy, or get a treasure, and then continue following it.
I wish we could have a bulbmin in pikmin four it would look so good with the high graphics and I also wanted to see a bulbmin onion but sadly they can't go to the surface also that would just be an orange onion but wait hold up if we could find orange onion underground we could take it to the ss beagle, fuse it with our onion on the surface (cuz u can carry flarlic back up so why not onions) then we produce orange pikmin then we (maybe) could find a bulborb, plant the orange pikmin into it, then the orange pikmin pokes around in it's body so it goes unconscious, then we bring it back to base, and then overnight we have created our own bulbmin :D also there's a theory that orange pikmin when planted into a bulborb they slowly grow roots in it's body, using them to control the bulborb body, and that they actually don't have faces because there is no need because the parasitic orange pikmin have full control over everything and that because the roots are hooked up to the brain they can see through the eyes of the bulborb and that its unnecessary for a face in that scenario
The tallmin the tallmin basically nerfed the winged pikmin and yellow pikmin as it can reach treasures that don't even require a floating platform the talmin will be a regular grey color and can pick up small enemys and frickin squish them in its hands it can only pick up dwarf bulborbs (any verient) skitter leafs ( both desacated and regular) and the sherwigs male shergrub female shergrub shermite and bulborb larva and its eyes will change color depending on the emotion for example when attacking an enemy its eyes will glow red but when oachi sits down its eyes will glow pink and will start petting him also its main threat are sovereign bulblaxes as even though its the size of a regular bulborb it can still be eaten by really big enemys but can put up good fights with grubchuckers and my fanmade enemy bug eyed crocovile as those 2 are tall enough to be good opponents. -Pikpikycarrot.
How about an Crystal Bulbmin it will be useful for sunny areas and it can help with smashing walls and glass and it can also replace the yellow pikmin and it can burn things down
What if the parasite pikmin could control any member of the grub dog family and not just the bulborbs. e.g. The water dumple. What if it could go one step further and go for the breadbugs due to their similarity to bulborbs through mimicry.
@@matthewgamer1294 Nowhere in the only piklopedia entry it has does it mention it is specifically a dwarf bulborb, only that it's host is usually a bulborb. Also the leader bulbmin is larger than a dwarf bulborb (even without the leaf). Off topic: What confuses me about it though is that the smaller bulbmin are smaller than a bulborb larva.
Ok I have an idea, it won’t be a bulborb but will instead be a breadbug and they will lead you to treasure and help the Pikmin carry it to the ship. They will be called breadmin. Hope you enjoy my idea.

The frosty bulbmin is literally the pikmin equivalent of frost walker from Minecraft
Yup

Bonus: breadmin can carry on 10 to 10
Breadmin :
If you throw one it’ll command all breadmin to the treasures
They only to small dm but also knockbacks it
My favourite one is white tounge bulbmin and ice bulbmin

I wonder new pikmin game can you creat idea pikmin types.
I hope all these types of bulbmin come to pikmin 5 and the normal bulbmin
for the hairy bulbmin you could have made him resist cold air, even if it's not that much
I think you just made blue pikmin cry more when you explained frosty bulbmin
hey!i came up with emporer bulbmin before 3 days this video came out!probably before you started planning this video!

there's a pikmin horn that lets them charge like Oatchi
The emperor bulbmin is similar to the sovereign bulblax/pikmin 1 bulblax due to the high jump

What if the parasite pikmin could control any member of the grub dog family and not just the bulborbs. e.g. The water dumple.

Bulbmin are dwarf bulborbs (a creature from the breadbug family) infected by a unseen parasitic pikmin.
