Milk'n Blues - Tennessee Whiskey + I'd Rather Go Blind

- "I'd Rather Go Blind" was released in 1967 and it was a collaboration of Etta James and Ellington Jordan. It soon became an icon of Blues and Soul music. Decades later that recording would become the instrumental background for Chris Stapleton to work on his version of "Tennessee Whiskey", a song by Dean Dillan and Linda Hargrove that had already made the country music charts in 1981 in the voice of David Allen Coe.
Since we do love a mash-up (as you should know by now), here is our take on these beautiful masterpieces put together. We hope you guys like it! Let us know what you think :)

1st of all, They are Great ! 2nd of all. The Beautiful Woman playing the Harmonica is one of the Best Harmonica players I've Ever heard. And this comparison includes Magic Dick from the J Guiles Band back in the 70's. And there background harmony is Angelic to say the least !!! All of their Volcals are unmatched in a mixed gender Band. It's My considered opinion they are Heaven Sent.!!!
Man can that lady ever play the heck out of that hormonaka. Your group does a beautiful job of that song, beautifully done. All the best in your group’s future.

Been watching these for a few years and they are nothing short of fantastic and now I am old and in pain this is the band I would actually leave the house to see in the depth of winter knowing the pleasure I would get would more than compensate for days of pain.

That lead guitar/singer and harmonica player are literally making love to their instruments and the rest complement them quite well, and lets not forget Aline and Zia on the vocals with your sweet sultry voices. Altogether it is like a warm glass of brandy.... from the hills of Kentucky!

Milk 'N Blues, one of the best new bands of the decade, hails from Curitiba, Brasil, and is arguably the best thing to come out of Brasil since Roberto Carlos. Their version of Tennessee Whiskey stands head and shoulders above all others--the only version that comes close to this one is the Chris Singleton & Justin Timberlake performance at the CMA Awards. It is the many different elements employed by this band that make it the exceptional band it is today.
Each person in the group has an incredible voice and could head up their own bands if they wished. When they blend their voices in tight harmonies, the sound is mesmerizing and unforgettable. The harmonica accompaniment and solos are out of this world, and the guitar solos add so much to the band's sound. All of these important elements are present in this version of Tennessee Whiskey and the song keeps running in my head non-stop while I try and focus on my work, and it continues day after day. This song by Milk 'N Blues is so much "smoother" than whiskey and is truly "sweeter than strawberry wine."
