I'm 64, my good friend who I met when I was 19 just died last week of lung cancer! He was my absolute best friend in my life. I miss him dearly and this song makes me think of him! His name is Richard Lawrence Thomas AKA Rick Thomas, a nickname I gave him when we were in our twenties was Blue Larry. He was kind to everybody he met and I do miss him! Hope and pray that he's going to a good place! This song's for You Blue Larry!

I saw Beth when she was touring the bar scenes promoting her first album, in 1996 and again the following year. Both shows were in a bar in Mechanicsburg, PA, the second was just her and a piano player. The main reason she got lost in the shuffle was because of her struggles with substance abuse over the years. I believe she's been clean now for many years. Glad she stuck with it.

I fell in love with her voice listening to her songs over my adulthood. But when I heard her live in Milan in 2018, I was completely stunned by her performance. I got chills the entire concert. Her vocal qualities, her attitude and presence are amazing. She has that sort off magic in her voice that never really leaves you even over 2 years passed since then. Beth, you are unique, and I wish you lots of happiness, inspiration and success! ❤️😌

2 November 2023 she was such a beautiful little angel little Pug her name was Ruby Tuesday she had lymphoma blood cancer she was only 8 years old… 4 days and she was gone no symptoms at all till the very last, the oncologist Vet said she stayed for me,that’s why she showed no symptoms, he had never seen this before,still eating and wagging her tail to the very end and Bella, Charlotte, my 14-year-old Pugalier last year, 6 February …and once again I think of this song, 🎼💔

Stopped me dead in my tracks...had been listening to a UA-cam Mix of Leonard Cohen's music and then I came across Beth Hart singing "I'd Rather Go Blind" with Rockwiz...and knew I had to get more on this Beth Hart... absolutely found myself captivated by this phenomenal woman and found myself enchanted by her lovely voice...absolutely the best...incredibly delicious and to just sit back and be transfixed for the moment like a child again hearing for the first time something so tender you just can't move.
