I was in my first year of college and had literally been waiting for four years for the next GnR album to come out. They did a huge tour a few months before that in the summer, and at the particular show I went to Skid Row opened up (another good controversial 80s band). Anyways, halfway through the show Axl is in this pristine white jump suit singing Patience and some idiot slings mud up on stage and it gets on his suit (the concert was held in the middle of a horse racing track). Axl said some choice words, threw down the mic and stormed off stage. The rest of the band had to wing it for about 3 or 4 songs until they could convince Axl to get back on stage. Those were the days though - GnR was really the end of an era as far as the bad boys of rock went.
Wow I’m surprised they got Axl to go back on. While I don’t support throwing shit at entertainers, its part of it. They knew that before embarking on such a career. They shouldn’t punish thousands of fans because one dipshit threw something.
Very relaxing. I've been fighting a migraine all day, and listening to this on my lunch break at work is actually pretty helpful. So, I'm very appreciative of that. Thank you.
Use your illusion II is a great album overall but I tend to gravite towards part I all because of November Rain which is one of my favorite songs from GNR. However, my all time favorite has to be Paradise City. Regarding the video, I don't know why but sometimes I admire the creases and split edges on these types of covers. Is like a testament of the time that has passed by. And as always, great job with the sounds. Looking forward to next week's album video.
Primio - "The more vulgar side is the side 2.... just saying." Also 19:27, You're so funny! My dad likes Guns N' Roses a lot, he went to see them live last year. Even though this band was one of the first rock bands I ever heard, I didn't really get into them. I was drawn more towards bands like AC/DC, Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. But I still like a few of their songs, my top favorites are November Rain and Don't Cry. I used to fall asleep to these songs when I was very little. This video was a trip down the memory lane.
I agree about the vulgar side. Lol. I can't speak for the vinyl but I can for the cassette. I must've "borrowed" my sister's UYI2 cassette a hundred times just to listen to the A side. One song in particular. Get in the Ring..... If you know the song. Track 5 on the cassette..
The sad part about vinyl and cassettes and CD is it is long since forgotten. Today's youth will never experience waiting in line at a music store with groups of like minded people to be the first to get their copy of their favorite bands new album. Or looking thru thousands of CDs on multiple racks to find that one CD they want. There was a downside to buying an album though, especially on CD. Usually when a.CD was released it had ONE song that you bought it for. The other 9 songs were usually never played on the radio. However most record companies were nice enough to release cassette or CD singles that had that one song that you wanted to hear. I remember paying $1.99 for cassette singles.. I feel as though I lived during a glorious time in music and music media. MTV still played music videos, going to the music store was sometimes an all day thing because even if you went in for one tape or CD, you would always seem to run across another album you needed for your collection. I do so miss those days..😞
Honestly while I own Guns N' Roses' debut album 'Appetite for Destruction' and like a few songs on it, I've never been much of a GNR fan and never cared for anything they did beyond Appetite. I've always much preferred L.A. Guns to Guns N' Roses. That said, your talent at ASMR still makes even things I generally may not be interested in interesting & enjoyable, and that's a real testament to your skill & ability as an ASMRtist! 😊 I love the tapping as always and the way you do that gentle tapping where your hand kinda crawls up the album is most enjoyable & relaxing. The paper sleeve sounds were nice as well, and of course listening to your delightful whispery/soft spoken voice. All in all, this is undoubtedly another awesome edition to your album series, Prim! 👍👏 As for next Monday's album, I can honestly say that I'm super excited for 'Hysteria' because I do love me some Def Leppard! 😎

very relaxing sounds Prim! I like how you take your time to get perfect paper sounds in this series. Patience is a lovely acoustic ballad with a classic video as well. It just dawned on me that you resemble Erin Everly who was featured in some classic GnR videos. Looking forward to next week with another classic, Def Leppard. It reminds me of Tracing ASMR which is my number one trigger and hard for me to find! Anyways “Swell” job Prim i would recommend that people try to watch your videos through a TV cuz the sounds come out great! Especially if you like to fall asleep watching TV. Prim ASMR with soft spoken for sure! As you have been told a lot that’s one of your best triggers!😀but I don’t know what it is watching someone trace a word or the outline of a picture gives me the same feeling that typing and page turning gives you lol.
I'm so glad you play your albums as I still play mine.😇 All the vinyls themselves are pristine as I looked after them well, it's just the covers that are looking a bit worse for wear.😮 I'm amazed you buy most of yours for 50 cents or less, no way that would happen here in the UK, unless I'm not looking properly! The very last vinyl LP I bought was 'Wings of Heaven' by a British band called Magnum, from 1988 (showing my age now lol) and it was £5.99, a princely sum back then. I got into CDs after that although I value my depleted record collection more than my CDs. Magnum - incidentally - are going strong now (with the two main members Bob Catley and Tony Clarkin still in the band) and you should check them out if you can. The most famous LP of theirs is On a Storytellers Night from 1985. You'd love it!
FYI: _Knockin On Heaven's Door_ was positioned 278 in our Dutch Top 2000 from 2017, _November Rain_ made it to 10/2000 :) Checking my voting list for last year, I wonder if you like/love any of these artists/bands: Roxy Music (More Than This, Avalon etc.), Marillion (Kayleigh for instance), Spandau Ballet (Through The Barricades...), Dire Straits (Telegraph Road) and many more, like Fleetwood Mac and Foreigner -- although I've heard some of their songs way too often already :D Anyway, love the sounds, especially the crinkles = my favourite trigger! *PS Do you have any digital music at all? :P*
Yesterday is a bloody fantastic, but the gunners songs I love the most are Mr Brownstone, My Michelle and Night train, from Appetite For Destruction. You should (if you haven't already) listen to Skid Row. From 1989, Definately listen to 'I remember you'. But my favourite song is Quicksand Jesus from the album Slave to the Grind. Sebastian Bach was ROCK VOICE ASMR.

The Illusion albums would have been better served as a single record. There's a lot of filler on both albums IMO. However I do love Axl's rant against the press in Get in the Ring and nothing beats November Rain, esp Slash's solos on that track.
