Thanks for posting. I wish there was more positivity and encouragement around dairy farming. I don’t want to let this way of life vanish from the country side.
Wise man. Like most old Wisconsin dairy farmers that have weathered all the challenges and rewards of that life. Started hauling milk at age 19 and men like this were good role models.
Was 10 years old my dad bought a new 2090. We had all the different dealers go to. He priced them all 986,4240, Alice 7020 and a ford. When he bought the 2090 his brother (uncle Merlin) ,who was all JD said he made a big mistake, no one will come to your farm sale dad said "I saved so much on the Case I won't have to sell out" . Dad had the 2090 maybe 4 years and case and ih merged and they wanted to get rid of all the white ones and he traded for a new 2290 for almost nothing. When he passed my brother took over the farm still had the 2290 up until a couple years ago.
Really enjoy your videos and especially this one with the case tractor. Was hoping he would have talked about the other one in the background also but still not disappointed. I use a case to grind 15-20 ton of hog feed monthly and it has never let me down. Thanks for sharing this with us
JI CASE tractors will always be my favorite. They were the tractors that put the food on the table. Dad and my uncles had other ones but the CASE was always the dependable workhorse. I'd put a 70 or 90 series CASE cab against a sound guard anytime.
We run all case from 30 series to magnums. Son ran a 4755 this fall for a friend . 1st thing he said to me is who would pay big money for one of those? He said compared to an old case the thing had a shitty can and just seemed outdated. Ain’t going to lie I never could figure out that obsession either. Feels like sittin in a model t
I grew up with Deere but I will admit the 94 series that were still white and black with the orange accents look really sharp. Now I grew up in Northwestern Illinois, literally right next to the Wisconsin state line and it seemed fairly common for small dairy farms to have or had at least one Deutz tractor. I would assume they were probably cheaper than most. Did you see a lot of 70s-80s Deutz tractors?
I would like to see more about that auger system he talked about that was on that 175 allis? I have never heard of a system like that to load solid manure?
Have you ever listened to your podcast? You can only hear yourself. Get a Mic on these guys so we can hear their stories. You are wasting your interviews.

Nice to hear the stories from the older guys.

Another great interview. Thanks😊
A very wise and well disciplined gentleman there. Great role model.
Great story

I wouldn't. We had a 2590. I didn't like the cab at all and we always had trouble with the AC working right.
That guy has a Case of common sense , not everyone drinks the green kool-aid haha
100%
We farm with all CASE tractors. They work for us, we don't work for them.
Dad bought a new tractor in 81. Couldnt lock in the interest. It went up to 23%. Had to refinance the tractor and barely got it paid off. Crazy times.
That was my grand fathers dealership

I would love to see the barn and cows we milk 42 in a tie stall milk in a Palor it’s nice to here this story keep up the good work
I used to deliver milk in mondovi. Eleva. And strum.
My grandpa would run any color of tractors that would run but he always said them were a sad case.😂😂😂😂

Should have asked him about his cows! I bet he could go on and on about those. The tractors were just a tool to keep it all rolling.
Is that a 1070 behind the Allis ?
That dealership, was that Fawn Knutsen’s parents?
I don't know
Could you please repeat the towns/ states as we cannot always hear what the farmers say.
