Road Trip And Adding A U302 To The Collection

JoePro and I take a road trip and I add a 1969 Minneapolis Moline U302 diesel to the collection. We get a tour of Larry's farm and collection while buying the 302 on March 2nd, which we all know is 302 day! The we continued the road trip to my Uncle Dennis's farm to drop off the 302 and pick up the 1955 UB to bring home to prep for sale. It was a really fun day spent around great people! AWESOME Video!! I loved the shop tour, reminded me a lot of exceptional friend, Mike McDaniel from Washington MO. His shop was very similar to Larry's and Mike was always willing to HELP. Organized chaos! Mike was an IH guru but worked on most anything for someone in need. Also loved the IH 1586 from Burkhart Farm Center Bucyrus OH. Burkarts is still THE BEST farm store in OH and most certainly one of the best in the country!!!

In 1818 it wouldn't be hard to find a 52 ft straight log...for those who don't know the midwest was covered in timber.

Congratulations on acquiring a diesel U302! And for showing us Larry's homestead. Now for two pieces of information that you probably already know. Hocking College has a collection of log building. They have a log barn that is similar in design. The second item is totally off subject. TV show Adam 12, season 4, episode 20, The Sub-Station, originally aired February 16th, 1972. The Reed and Malloy ride bikes that look similar to the classic that you own.

That is a good looking original UB.. My dad bought a new one in 1953 with one of the first mounted corn pickers. This was the main tractor on the farm for many years and it had a lot of hours on it when it was retired.
