One thing I'd like you to point out a bit more is Cruiser also need to support DDs when possible. If a DD provides smoke concealment or if you can use island concealment to block or mitigate damage you need to support DDs as a cruiser. The role of a cruiser to me is a about balance. You have to balance aggressive and passive play. You can't be too aggressive and waste your health or too passive and conserve health at a critical moment.

I prefer runing double rudder shift upgrade, but seeing how much faster she accelerates with your build, it seems a good option too. I use PM instead of reload on her captain, too. Her AP is too situational in my opinion (but very strong when used properly). Very nice gameplay. I also like to kite in open sea when facing ships that would have a hard time hiting me (bad aim, "small" guns, long travel time etc). Raking up both high damage and high potential is pretty fun. I remember getting around 2M potential once (and 120k dmg, I think ?).
In general, BB's tend to play like light cruisers, cruisers play like DD's and DD's play like crackheads. PS Health is just a resource like anything else. The only health that actually matters is the last 1 point
This inspired me to pick up the mogami again which is one of my favourite ships except I ran into a double CV game. Actively dodging Perceival AP bombers and losing 65% of my hp in one strike and the other 35% to two ap rockets strikes.
Uhm... actually, the distinction between light and heavy cruiser was dependant on the guns, not the armour. So the Mogamis' 155mm main battery makes her a CL for sure (155mm being the cut-off point historically), while her 203's would make her a heavy cruiser.

I started playing British BB line, and I can't shake off the habbit of shooting DD's with my HE. I'm at QE and I'm starting to notice the shift in DD players inteligence sometimes. They finaly start to bank on their mobility and concealment. Me myself started juggling ammo types, easy HE spamming is no longer an out of jail free card. But back to the DD blaping, should I leave it to cruisers and prioritize meatier targets? My mind works like this: "If I'm not carefull, DD can easily end me, but If I have he loaded and destroyer in close proximity I can try and do the same to him "
Watched this and I kept suiciding in, but I realized I didn't need to so came back again. Close to mogami, and playing through Charles, Tallinn, and other T7-T8 CA/CL so this helps a lot

This was Great, i hope theres more of these uploads out there from upi,
This inspired me to pick up the mogami again which is one of my favourite ships except I ran into a double CV game.
Thank you sir. "It's been educational"
Love the video and i also love the Mogami :) and i think i picked up a few tips as well, GG Flamu!
great vid, thanks for sharing your skills and experience
Hail to the king
Thank you flamu
this video was really help full bcz i can't play with cruisers but would like to have german cruiser cz hindenbug is really good but before you get it you must play 4-5 hard tires... when ships doesnot have much armor and they get just oneshoted all time so these things wich u said here gonna be rly helpfull
I would appreciate, if you could make a commentary “how to play and position in harugumo”. It has a massive fire power, but I’m struggling with this ship. Thank you
"its important to conserve your health!"
all i can say is "main battery reload time -19.8%"
I started playing British BB line, and I can't shake off the habbit of shooting DD's with my HE.
My mind works like this: "If I'm not carefull, DD can easily end me, but If I have he loaded and destroyer in close proximity I can try and do the same to him "
Crazy I didn't think Fighter pilot gave spotting bonus
One of your best videos
Favourite cruiser in game :)
Thanks for this masterclass
This sounds like really solid advice, I'll definitely try to play more safely. But what do you do in open water?
Watched this and I kept suiciding in, but I realized I didn't need to so came back again. Close to mogami, and playing through Charles, Tallinn, and other T7-T8 CA/CL so this helps a lot
You're a master.
I'll happily follow your suggestions as i'm a noob(especially at cruisers), and dying always cause of the things you said to avoid. I thought dds was the rogue ones but seems cruisers are too...
Would be interesting to see the video remade with Deadeye meta.
