- Kai Yuyi means crumpled eggs and it's served over a bed of jasmine rice. It's very simple to make and comforting to eat. This dish is nostalgic for me because it was one of the meals that my Grandfather would make often for me growing up. I hope you enjoy it.

This was one of my favorite meals growing up. What are some of yours?
Grandparents are the same in every culture. You will never go home hungry. That looks SO tasty. For me, I'd have to go with my grandma's meat loaf with baked beans and mac & cheese with cornbread. All of it from scratch and made to make you feel at home.

My maternal grandmother used to make Puerto Rican corned beef hash she would serve over a bowl of rice. It was such a comforting dish from my youth, brings back many happy memories. With the cold damp weather we’ve had in the northwest. I made a batch of this for my mother to stave off the dampness and bring comfort. Thank you as always, for sharing yourself with us. ✌🏼💛
