After testing the litter box some more, here's what I think are the pluses and minuses… + Easier + Quicker + Less Dusty - Expensive - Leaks Sand / Clay - Wastes Sand / Clay With a regular litter box, it was getting pretty dusty having to sift through the cat litter. With the Omega Paw Roll 'n Clean Litter Box, that's been way less of a problem. Although, some gravel does manage to get through, a lot of that ends up in the tray while some of it ends up on the floor. Considering that the box is expensive, especially the large one, I'm surprised the litter box is not more perfected. This is the updated version too! But overall, it's been working. I'm considering replacing all of the litter boxes with Roll 'n Clean litter boxes. But also, the cats seem to like this litter box, opting to use it more than the litter box right next to it. 😸
Dont tip it all the way over. i have this exact cat box and ive found you get lots of waste if you roll it over... just roll it till the clumps fall into the receptacle, and if you scrape with a kitty shovel, the litter box where the mess is, it will be even less messy. I love this litter box!
Completely disagree - had one and after a few weeks it started "leaking" every time I rolled it over to "clean" it and made a bigger mess than just scooping it. DO NOT recommend - best thing you can do, switch to flushable litter and just scoop into the toilet.
With a lot of mixed reviews on Amazon, I wasn't sure if the Litter Box was going to work. So, I tried it. There are some problems, but overall it's pretty neat. 😺
This video is timely as I have been taking care of my family's cats while they are on vacation. This appears to be much simpler than all the scooping I've been doing lately. Too bad about the spillage though, that seems like more of a hassle.
I like the new litter box a lot more than the regular litter boxes. My plan is to use it as it is right now, and then maybe later (after the first cleaning) I can secure that grate better.
@@PhoticsTV I suppose the real test is to see if others will use it or prefer to just go back to the traditional box. Maybe if there is no spillage, it will be a win.
I prefer to see what’s in the box after my cats do their business just to see they are ok and healthy. Here the entry is smaller than regular tray. So I’m not sure my biggest cat gets in at all. Also pee and poop going around all walls is not a pleasant thing. I would just scoop. This option here is good only for a temporary use. Otherwise lovely cats just purrfect 😻
The entrance is kinda high, so kittens or older cats might have trouble. Even if I built stairs next to the litter box, that could hinder the rolling of the box.
This looks good but i rather have the old fashioned enclosed one to be honest lol also i was playing Crossy Road with my mom and we unlocked Prince of the cosmos which then unlocked king of cosmos which then unlocked queen of cosmos lol
I have traditional litter boxes, big ones, with hoods… and it's such a chore to maintain. I gotta stoop low, dig around, it's so dusty, smelly… this new litter box has been way better.
I just saw it listed on the India version of the Amazon website. But if I'm understanding the conversion rate correctly, it's ridiculously expensive. 😲 I wanted to send one as a gift to family in Europe, but the cost of shipping and the litter box itself was too much money.
Had one of these a few years ago - worked pretty well for the first few weeks but then it just started to "leak" litter every time I'd try to roll it until it was so bad I just stopped and used it as a standard hooded liter box. Absolutely would NOT recommend AT ALL. Complete and total waste of money and WAY too expensive for what it is.
It seems like it would be better if the grate was even more improved and more secure. I'm not quite sure how the litter is getting past the grate and into the scoop.
This doesn't look very hygienic. Surely when you roll it poo hits the roof and side of the scoop? It's just more things to clean imo a basic litter tray I reckon is still the best option. Besides although it's disgusting seeing my cats business let's me know if he's healthy or not since cats like hiding ailments.
Fair critique, because I just checked the sides and it did look a bit sloppy. (The litter was recently changed too.) Big globs of mess hitting the roof is funny, but that's just another part to clean. I suppose that's also a matter of preference though, as I'd rather just periodically blast the litter box with a garden hose, rather than constantly crouch down and scoop for lost treasure. 😄 As for checking pet health, that could also be a concern. All of the clumps fall together, so I don't know which cat was the origin. It's confusing with a lot of cats. Although, I had that problem with regular litter boxes. Plus, despite lots of digging around (creating dust clouds) I was still missing a lot of stuff. So, if you're particularly skilled maintaining a regular litter box, the Omega Paw is not that much of an improvement. Actually, there are significant negatives where a regular litter box might be preferred.
@@PhoticsTV yeah I think these companies like to exploit pet parents I'm lucky though my cat only uses his tray when it's raining and he doesn't want to go out. I think there's still a lot to do to purrfect (lol) the right litter box that makes dealing with pee and poo easier.

every cat owner needs this
It is a nice litter box, making it easier and quicker to take care of cats, but the litter box is a bit expensive and not quite perfect.
