I have so many complete Mahler Symphony recordings as well as individual symphonies from the usual suspects, Bernstein, Guilini, Klemperer, Haitink, Levine, Solti, Tennstedt, Michael Tilson Thomas, Bruno Walter, et el, I can't imagine what this approach sounds like!
@@pawelpap9 yes I thought that but there is a difference in the sound .Gut strings,larger bore woodwind and harder to play brass adds up to a unique sound compared to modern performances.

When I first heard about this project I thought it was an elaborate joke. How early XXc instruments were different from modern ones?
