Good to see how well the R.55 worked in 'push-pull' service!😊
@@garymckinnon6903 yes ,an unexpected talent! 🤣
Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!😁👍👍
Hi John. Love seeing the old things brings me back to my childhood. Jerry is great bobbing up and down, how does that work? Got two A4s love them. Wife wasn't happy she wanted a blue one. Slowly changing my couplings over to magnetic. Great running session log flipper brilliant. Have a fantastic Christmas and new year 🎄🎄🍾🍾 Thumbs up thumped 👍 .... Pete....

Happy Xmas yes please to E2 fest
Merry Christmas to you also John.
Lovely video...Merry Christmas
Greetings John! A delightful way to end off 2024. Merry Christmas and All the Best in 2025. Keep the trains running!
Excellent John, my all time favourite Tri-ang Hornby train set, The Midlander. The set that started me off, receiving it on my 3rd Birthday from my Grandfather. Although the box is long gone, I still have the loco and coaches, though in a bout of madness at 13 I repainted the Deely 3F plain BR black! Thank you for wonderful memories John, Merry Christmas to you.
You've got to give Gerry, a videoed run on Christmas day, IT'S THE LAW😏👍👍
Nice one thanks and many happy returns Patrick Quinn IRL
Yes, 10 E2s were built nos.100-109. Nos.100-104 were built without the extended side tanks, but nos.105-109 were.
Great video again John, love that EM2, even without Catenary. I am open to be corrected, but I think Trix produced a model of the EM1 Bo-Bo Electric.
@@robridgway8574 I've just looked in the pat hammond book and yes trix had an EM1 model hence triang made the EM2. Approx 17,000 models.
@@jkb1955 Nice Detective work John. Will you be hunting for the Trix EM1?
@@robridgway8574 I shall certainly be window shopping..
very enjoyable to watch..thank u.
Hi John. What a great looking loco is the EM2, great condition at a great price. Beautiful runner. Saddle tank looks the part as well. J94 is a great Saddle tank. Bit worried about the snowman melting over it though.⛄ Do like your bus depot. Thanks for sharing John. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete....
@@delphjunction1168 Thanks Pete ,one of Triangs best locos I think.
i have that one!
Trix once made a model of the EM1 in both black and green liveries but they are like rocking horse dung these days and also go for really silly money!
Greetings John! The EM2 was also available in blue with grey roof (1966 -68) and rail blue (all over) from 1969-71. You can tell the regular production models from the CKD (completely knocked down) kit versions by looking at the trailing bogie. CKD models are held in by a brass screw and nut as opposed to being riveted. You definitely got a nice example for the money! Another enjoyable video!
That’s A Fab Chrissie Pressie and No Mistake - With my Limited Knowledge I tend to think the Blue Boxes are a Quick indicator of Dublo 3 Rail items, tho I have found Great info about box design thru the Decades online - The J94 seems a Sweet Runner with the Xo7 motor, and in Regards to Dapol, Airfix, Mainline etc, I’m thinking they are All the Same Animal tbh - Nice Job Keeping All these Older Models Running 🙌🏻👍🏻
@@donniblanco5239 I meant the blue version of the loco not the box ,on replaying the video i can see why you were misled ,sorry about that . All triang hornby boxes were red and yellow. Thanks for watching 👀 🙂
A very smooth runner, John; Enjoy!!
😁👋👋👍👍
Hi John, Couple of days late watching this one, glad of a break to watch trains. Great combinations, lovely to watch. Another good session, keep them coming young Sir!
Hi John. Great running session buddy. Track nice and flat unlike mine.😢 Love all the buses, did see an RT there part of my childhood. Thanks for sharing John. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete....
Hi, had a watch from NZ. 5pm in the afternoon. You must have posted this late at night.
@@murrayjones2426 it took 3 hours to upload..
Hi mate, i should buy a Hymek, that and a class 25 are lacking from my collection. The car trailers look quite good behind it. You have decent motors in everything you run. Steven.
Hi John. Some great old locos there. Got quite a few older ones myself, still running after 40 years, will you be able to say the same for the newer ones. RM behind the RT. One of my favourites. Used to always catch the RTs when I was a kid. Wow I feel old. Great running session. Thank you John. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete....
Hi John, the black one was released in 1974 & was Hornby,s 1st steam loco to have glazing. Great video. All the best. Carl.
Does the cork mat help? I have the same wallpaper table with adjacent linking boards.
@@stevencook6750 I've always used Cork mat as it deadens the sound and gives a nice finish, if you are not scenery inclined.
Fine session once again John, very enjoyable including your Babbling lol. I agree with you that the older models may lack more intricate detail, they are far more enjoyable and less problematic. Great stuff!
very nice running session with terrific looking locos.
The green Ivatt reminds me of the loco named "Blossom" fron the TV series 'Oh, Doctor Beeching". Love watching your Trains!😊
The green Ivatt model here carries the same number as " Blossom" in Oh Doctor Beeching. Both bring back lovely memories.
You know your old when, "They don't make 'em like they used to!"🤣👏👏👍👍😁
Its sad that hornby buchured it to make Thomas
I dont think the e2s ever carried South eastern and chattam rail way livery
Nice to see a smooth running CN set John. The red and yellow boxcars have eluded me so far. I do have a ew of the CN diesels but all have the knurled wheels and don't run too good. The Ivatt has always been a favourite of mine but I don't have one of those either.
Great fun as always John! Reminds me of when I used to freely run Tri-ang British and Canadian models together. Love your Merit forest!😊
The Ivatt box (according to my Guide) is 76/77 - The Ivatt that I Have is a bit Noisy, but the more she runs the Quieter she Gets as she pulls her Royal Daylight Tankers- those Box Cars Look absolutely Mint - Gotta love the Classics 😄👍🏻
Nice running session John cheers Patrick Quinn IRL
Gerry, Gerry, Gerry😁😁👍👍👏👏
Nice colourful selection John. Interesting comparison between the B.R. & Canadian stock, combined with entertainment from Gerry Giraffe too. Great start to the day!
Hi John, good idea to buy another set. I actually have two sets, one has black undercarriage and the other silver. This I think depended on when they were made.Yours are in nicer condition than mine. They look great. I also have a couple of power/dummy grey/blue pullmans
500 quid, was that for a return journey? You guys must have been made of money back in those days. Very nice model mate, it runs very well. Steven.
Brilliant! One of my (many) favourite Tri-ang items, certainly my favourite diesel. Was given my first Blue Pullman set in 1968 by my Grandfather, but sadly it went missing somewhere over the years. I have gradually collected most of the Tri-ang & Tri-ang Hornby Variants but the oddball 5th variant is proving difficult to complete a set, the rare rail blue yellow nose version only made in a small batch. Perhaps this was due to running out of Nanking blue colour ingredients. I have a fond affiliation with the Blue Pullman, and the later Grey style, as an Uncle was a steward on them during the late 60's/early 70's and he got us free tickets now and then, Paddington here we come! Thanks for another great video John bringing back fond memories.
Always loved this set! I don't think the modifications made by Tri-ang later on did anything for it, but they were only following BR practice at the time. It is ironic that the HST became the basis for a resurrected version of the Blue Pullman!🙂
@@garymckinnon6903 yes, there's irony!
I love the older models I find them more interesting somehow. That is a beauty 😃👍
Great video John, I've got all four versions of this iconic model. Michael
I Resonate with your Logic on this one and Great Result - Very Smart Indeed 👍🏻✨
