My condensing unit has an isolation relay that when I powered on the disconnect switch, it arced and tripped the breaker inside. Does this sound like a failed relay?
@@chobeeboy44 if you disconnect the load that relay switches on/off does the breaker stop tripping? If it does, then it is whatever the relay energizes is most likely the culprit.

@ thank you for the advice. I will try disconnecting the load. I do know it energizes a crankcase heater on a compressor and a high pressure cutout.
