- Ingredients:
1 bag of black eye peas
2 medium Onions red or white
2 tablespoon of tomato paste
Scallions
Habernero peppers...adjust to your liking
Chilli peppers 🌶
Salt to taste
Oil to fry
Seasoning to taste
Black pepper
#Akara #AkaraSauce Adding tomatoes is optional. I wanted to add tomatoes so i did which was a personal choice. • How To Make Beef en Co...
I 💕 your style of making it it's very simple and straight to the point. In senegal we add baking powder, onion, garlic, ginger, and sugar and blend it with the black eyed peas. I prefer your style because it's like how it's made in cassamance
Thank you so much for watching. Appreciate.
I finally made this tonight and I am not disappointed.. I live in TENNESSEE love love African dishes. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, akara with pepper sauce in a tapalapa! One of my absolute favorite street foods in Gambia
It reminds me of my school old days where one can buy all these wonderful Akaras and Abalas, Nyambe and Nyebbeh for school lunch. Nice. Thanks.
I know right! More memories will be coming your way with all the momonyerres that we use to buy in our primary school day. I miss mbudakeh Lol!
This are my kinda snacks I like looks yummy
Proud of you sis a real Gambian talk like one and no imitation. Well done ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for watching. Appreciate it 🙏💯
the Indian people who sell street food here uses flour and the yellow split peas to make akara,I never knew you could make it with peas alone to me that's awesome and more healthier
I never knew you could make it with flour except for maybe it's peas flour. You can find peas flour and make it, but not sure if it's regular flour. Thank you for watching
@@DadasFoodCraveKitchen it may not be the same as akara but it looks similar to akara
In the Caribbean, we call it pholourie, made with split peas.
The original recipe uses peas only, however, those who make it for sale, use a blend of peas and white flour.
Cheap, but people seem to love it still.
Wow love it

I prefer akara beans made with the skin, with skin is calcium and healthier. Thanks anyway, nice one👍
Yes you can make it with either way you prefer it's all the same. I know few people who will leave the skin. Thanks for watching
Taking the skin doesn't remove the calcium or benefits. Its just easier for your gut to digest. Hard work always the best way

It is amazing how Igbos spread their delicious Akara across the entire African continent and beyond.
It’s Yoruba food not igbo
@@nigerianwithattitude5048 that is wrong. Go and read the history of how akara came to be and besides Akara is an igbo name.
@@emmagreat9285 akara is Yoruba go and argue with your ancestors
@@emmagreat9285 by the way google is your best friend omo ale 😂
@@nigerianwithattitude5048 Obviously, you are ignorant of the history.

Use aloe vera for your burns. Refreshes your skin n does'nt leave scars. Good recipe.
Thanks for the great tip. I will surely do that. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it
Im watching again and again!!!! I love it but recently tried nigerian one. I enjoyed the much thickier one. Can you make it thick like bread? Oh okay,is this version a thick consistency?
Well mind is pretty thick. Just don't add too much water or else it will come out light and soak up a lot of all.
Thanks for the knowledge I've been dying to cook this🙏🏾
You're welcome! Thanks for watching
Wow delicious dishes
You have a new friend
Thank you so much for watching. Great to have you here. Appreciate it
Jerejeff sist. I'll pray for you in this Ramadan 🙏🏿❤
Ameen 🙏🙏🙏 i need it because am not feeling so well this past two days. Thank you so much. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it 🙏 . InshaAllah Ameen
To save myself all the trouble of taking the skin off, I usually just buy the already peeled beans ☺️💜.
That is much easier, but also make sure it's all beans and not mixed with anything else. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it 🙏
Aggie dualah, its no trouble at all for women that are not lazy. 😊
Also it is good to learn how to do it especially people who can't get their hands on the ready made beans.
Same way we do it Sierra Leone 🇸🇱
❤❤❤
Yummmm!!! Can anyone tell me what these taste like???
It taste very good. Trust me
Love from 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🙏🏾
Thanks for watching . Appreciate it
The recipe we can make a home project
This is how we (Sierra Leonean) makes our accra. Gambians didn't use to make there's like that till we the war in 99 when alot of us moved to The Gambia.
We don't put water in ours tho.
Very interesting. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it 🙏 💯 🙌
