Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.
Check your local regulations, as each state and territory is different, before you travel into or though NP with your dog. Here is the Parks Victoria website for those of you wishing to read up on Victoria's laws 👉 www.parks.vic....
I watch hundreds of metal detecting video. This one is very educational and very much appreciated 👍
Thanks man! Keep up the amazing work! 👏
X marks the spot and no need for a pin pointer! excellent job, Chris!
This is some very good advice for people learning to use a metal detector. If you are struggling with one watch this video and it will help you out.
Chris, thanks for the knowledge. That's priceless and set me in a direction I wouldn't have gone had I not listened to you. Awesome. Thanks
Thanks for the fantastic info, always teaching. Thats what I like about Aussie channels a wealth of knowledge willingly shared 😊
Not only does covering your hole keep the bush nice and clean but MORE IMPORTANTLY it hides your spot from other people that might be in the area so your find area stays hidden 😬 nice tutorial congrats on the specie thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
Not Just a comment for the algorithm,I really enjoy watching your videos from the UK
Very cool little turtorial and excellent that you found a specimen while doing it, excellent, thanks Chris
you're awesome Chris! more stuff like this needs to be shared! beginners get dishearten and lose interest so quick cause their not sure! love your work bro!!
Love the educational type of content from time to time. I have never metal detected and would love to start so it's valuable for me as someone with limited experience.
Keep 'em comin' Chris!
Very fine video Mr Vogus. I use an equinox 800 but have never found any gold that wasn't already made into jewellery. Its funny because I was inspired to buy it a couple years ago, partly because of your channel and suggestion that we follow our passion, etc. Well, I actually learned a lot from this video, thank you. I think I should have watched this video 2 years ago before two years of really big holes.
Excellent, concise tutorial Smithers! 👍🏻
First time I've ever seen a vogus video with 0 views. Cheers for sharing Chris. Shout out from 0680
Good to have a pristine bush. Nice video, thanks
Nice tutorial Chris! Make it part of a Beginners Guide to Metal Detecting Gold and it will always make you some coin.
Mark from Melbourne Australia 😂
G'day Chris, well deliver and informative, cheers mate Neil 🤠.
Really great and clear explanation, well done Chris. And congrats on the specie. Nice job
Excellent Video! As usual, but this specifically was super educational! Thanks Chris!! 😊
Very good understandable advice Chris. Thanks👍
Awesome! Any locations you recommend for starting out, mate? I've got a very old detector (8xAA batteries, she might be a bit old!), but also just bought a new pan set. I'm from near Kinglake/Whittlesea, but frequent Jamieson area. I was thinking Kevington goldfields, if that hasn't been done to death? Went panning around Christmas Hills when I was a kid, but I don't remember having much luck (and the creeks were a pain to get down to!)
though I had some problem with sea water It also ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn
There's nothing like a pristine bush.
One thing I would like to add. If you are going over a yard cut out a plug first so you can put the grass back and nobody will know.
Yet another great video Chris! I've been looking for a big wire basket that fits inside a big rubber bucket. Where did you get yours please mate?
Nice explanation of pinpointing. Good that you were rewarded for your efforts 😁👍
Give great knowledge always 👊🏼👊🏼
TIL why you go linear with the scoop lver the coil, makes total sense. And good on ya for the last bit, not enough folks talk land responsibility, gotta have a clean bush.
Would you want to recheck after your complete to make sure there wasn’t two pieces?
Yeah, but this video is just about the pinpoint method.
Yes, always.
You should also remember the general location of the initial gold find and scan the immediate area.
Often you have stumbled onto a patch that will yield more than one gold find.
Keep prospecting
Useful information thanks for sharing your knowledge 👍
And double check the hole for more targets 👌👍great video. Cheers
hello Chris I notice in your videos that you never check the other material once you found the signal, would it not be beneficial to check the other material incase of multiple signals??
I do, I just don't bother filming it.
@@VoGusProspecting I thought as much, but i thought i better ask lol
I think you should, it's been driving me crazy for months!!
Great video!
Very interesting and informative on the process.
Big up from the UK brother much ❤️
Great knowledge for the newbies mate
Didn't know that......thanks for educating me!! Good video!
Super useful thanks Chris, although you have removed some of what I thought were wizard skills with that big magic wand.
i wear a ring on each hand. i make piles of dirt from the scoop. swing over the pile. sound changes. theres your target. scoop it up check the scoop. for shiny yellow metal. have a good day
Noise video Chris 👍👍
I've always hoped you put the spill back in. I'm an ecologist and love Prospecting, but always a bit sad seeing heaps of unfilled holes and rubbish everywhere
Liked, shared and commented 🍻
The Zach Lee the same way that I use mine on the beach with waves crashing on me in a wet suit same way👍
This is really helpful. Thanks!
nice gold thank you for sharing the adventure 😀
Thanks Chris 👍🤓✌️
Go Chris! Get that cedar!
Will this work on concrete floor?
Do you ever check the dirt you have dug out in case you missed something tiny?
Note to self: "X marks the spot" is just a figure of speech, not an actual guide to buried treasure.
Chris: "care to bet on that?"
Sr how can I gate this motion!? can you help me bro???
Try to leave no trace! Right !🥃🥃👍👍
Awesome info. Thanks mate 👌🏻
How much does it cost
I just love me some clean bush.
Important time thank you 🎉
Question i ask and how much does it cost
So you spent the last 5 odd years primarily dedicated to resurching testing theories and educating us an your results regarding all things gold along the creek. What's your plans in five years when your finished doing the same with all things hard rock? Small scale mining or sniping
Probably origami
@@VoGusProspecting origami from flakes of gold.... I'd watch that.
@@trevdyer173 No, origami from pages of gold leaf booklets!

Enjoy your special day together 💞😚🏵️
Any day you find gold is special especially in Missouri 🤓😆😆😆
Very good. Thank you.
So basically the way to "recover " gold with a metal detector is : 1 - Find a target
2 - hope its gold
3- dig it out.
There i saved you 5 mins of talking .
And while we are here : the sky is blue because it is.
The grass is green just because.
And your father will never give you that respect and love you so desparately crave !
(got a little bit projecty at the end )
How much
Yay we found gold together
Hey Chris, sent an email to you through your website. Do you get those or too busy?
amazing
Nice 🎉
Sweet ⛏️⛏️⛏️
Nom nom nom, brain satiated
I have some gold in my my village but need someone like you.Can you help me??.
I'm from Papua New Guinea.
nice vid sir.
Bruh. I'm hating that 6k. Looks like an over sized gold monster 1k with that coil though lol
Hate away mate, I'm 2 ounces up in 12 months in an area not known for detectable gold. So I'm a fan.
@@VoGusProspecting maybe mine is broken hehehe
Mini stumpy ❤
I hid a piecr of gold in 2:57 my home and forgot where i put it. I need someone with a goldfinder to help me locate it.
theres 4 types of detectors 3 are not cursed and the other one is cursed dont buy a cursed detector
It's only cursed if you sacrifice chickens with it
Have you tried getting yourself a lucky nugget? Awwiiiaaawww
@@VoGusProspecting but what else can I sacrifice chickens with
@@trevdyer173 I've had Chris bless it with his sacred nugget necklace alas still cursed
@@buckshotprospector you need yo be wearing it and kissing it for yourself
That's all well and good, but where's Fern?????????????????/
She was about 20 meters away with gadzee digging up bullets

Pay for a lesson you’ll be better off!
i always thought a shaved bush is nice and clean? LOL
Right where you buried it!
Eh… whuh?
If you can't recognise undug, virgin ground when you see it, I can't help you.
@@VoGusProspecting cummon man we can all see that you have carefully grown that bit off moss at home for months and months and then hiked it into the bush without it breaking up where you buried a tiny specimen and then spent hours upon hours compacting the ground and then layed the moss over the top to shoot this clip with an expensive bit of equipment that is MORE THAN CAPABLE of recovering this type of gold all day long
Obviously I glued the ground back together after planting it. And then took the 40 years to grow that moss just right.
Why say stupid shit ?
Sir, if you want to be here in Philippines you are welcome you can chat me anytime. I just want to get like that kind of detector use for gold
