Tesla wins for sure. I still think that the lambo is a beautiful machine but in terms of how low cost the model y is compared with the lambo and being able to keep up that is impressive to me…
Interesting additional point to this is that it has been shown in other drag races comparing the different versions of the model 3 (standard range + vs Long Range vs Performance, same exact drivetrain as the Model Y) that the straight line performance benefit of the performance model is effectively null vs the long range after 70mph, and its really close when starting from a roll at 50. The long range model actually pulled away from the performance model over 100mph due to the improved aerodynamics and reduced drivetrain/tire friction. So, at highway speeds, a long range model Y may hold its own against a Lamborghini SUV, and that’s a full $10k less than the performance model. Madness. Of course, as a counterpoint, electric vehicles (including Teslas) lose performance as the batteries discharge or get cold. So, if the model Y in this test had a lower state of charge, it might not be so close. And the handling or track performance between the 2 is not even comparable.

@@Pennychaser1 Very nice, we took delivery of a black performance Y last week. I’ve got my wife driving it now to see if she likes it enough to let me sell her 2022 Acura MDX. Gas for that thing is ridiculous. Agreed on cooling the cabin from phone, I love that!
The lambo is $218,000, this test should have been with a Model X that would beat it and still be half the price!
Tesla excellent - You could do entry level EVs just for the normal punta price budget - I guess it would be MG and Leaf up to 30k mark, and also probably up to the 40k+ mark - probably up to whatever price the entry level Tesla's come in and new Kia price point?
Can’t wait to get my MYP. Got ride of my tuned SRT JEEP. And will grab a Model X Plaid when that order gets built. Love my v8’s but you can’t deny the EV performance here.
Model Y is 54,000 now, so you could have 5 for 1 Urus.
