Watching videos for inspiration, I have been smoking for 20 years , everyday. I recently received a job offer that could change my family’s life. To some , that would be enough to quit. But I’m still fighting with myself . I believe I’m finally ready. So to those who pray or what whatever you do. Send me some good vibes.
I smoked weed everyday like yourself for over 20 year and it was hard to give up, I really struggled to sleep once I stopped and it took numerous attempts before I cracked it, I won’t lie it was hard for 6 weeks with an increase in anxiety, however once I cracked that 6 week mark I felt so alive, motivated, far better sleep then when I was a stoner with nice dreams. I stayed away from it for several years and recently had a relapse due to life’s stresses I thought I’ll be ok it’s just an occasional smoke but before you know it I was back to smoking daily for the last year. All the same problems returned and I am currently on day 78 weed free again feeling alive and sleeping well with far less anxiety. All I will say is do it not just for yourself but your family, smoking that long you will have forgotten how good life is without weed. Stick at it man it will be worth it, best of luck👍
Totally agree, money is a huge bonus when quitting, the dreams are proper intense but in a good way considering I never dreamed on weed, being clear of mind is a daily struggle for me but it helps to not be thinking about the next rolling of a joint or bong hit or having to think about buying it to make sure I don’t run out, having more time on my hands for other things no matter what they are is a huge bonus, it seems like there are more hours in the day now to get shit done. I would also say I’ve become more social and more friendly to everyone I meet, generally more happy in myself and therefore more happy to others.
I’ve been watching many videos from many people about quitting and the whys and the hows. But your words are finally hitting me differently. I literally just hit my bong and started tearing up. I can’t wait to finally be ready to let go of it

I know the feeling. the exact same thing came over me as well as far as memories and not being in the moment and being with family. Weed has a lot to do with it actually and is one of my main reasons for cutting down and quitting
I started smoking weed in college which was back in 2014, I really started everyday smoking by 2015/16 and didn't start having the idea that it was bad for me until 2017/2018. I somehow was able to just get by, I was in grad school, able to pass tests but never excel, always cramming and treading water, laughing about it to myself and others, while deep down knowing I wasn't being my best self and that this thing was holding me back. I got depressed would isolate and then smoke more. For me my friends don't really smoke w the intensity and addictiveness that I did so it was more like a secret that I tried and still try to keep away from them. Alot of lying a lot of guilt. In 2018 i started vaping nic as well. Started just to study and get energy, maybe a couple hits at a party, but then slowly it became an everyday thing, soon I was buying my own sticks and liked certain brands and was going out in the middle of the night to get a stick. The weed and nic together worsened each other and made/ still makes it really hard to quit. I kept getting by, not excelling but maintaining. Deep down thinking why do I let this control and hold me back. But also not doing anything about it. In 2022 I think i spent almost everyday high on weed and chased that w nic. I brought the nic to work, I hid in the bathroom to vape. Its fucked up. I would try and meditate and excercise but it woulndt stick. I knew it was bad but just didn't have the actual maturity to respect my body for real. I would think it I should but it didn't show in my actions. This fall I've been doing better but am still struggling which is ok. I am honestly surprised that Ive been able to stop for long periods of time (weeks) w a relapse like once a month. Which is honestly way better than I could have thought of before and im greatful. One of the big things is that if you keep using 24/7 and dont give urself the headspace to just be regular you, then its gonna keep you there. I started really liking being sober, and being able to make my own decisions even though I may be a little crabby. And I get cravings thats the part that sucks the most. i quit weed after almost 3 years, i become psychotic, now i take some pills to feel normal, i know that this dont happen with every one, but that was the best thing that i ever do in my life, i thank god for giving me forces to being a better person.
i decided to not buy my own anymore yestrday, i cant control myself when its always right at my fingertips, and i would end up smoking whenever i could which escalated into basically smoking like 5 joints everyday after school and like 10 joints a day on the weekend, realised the only way ill quit if by not having it anymore, i will still smoke socially tho when others have it as im not ready to give it up completely
Sober for 2 years from weed. On my birthday this year in February I decided to buy an edible. There was no looking back until a month ago. I spent so much money (only bought top shelf) and racked up huge debt on credit with compulsive shopping. I know have a $10,000 SpongeBob SquarePants toy collection and Lego collection. Been sober 30 days and depressed/ anxious now. Sucks. Has me concerned about holding a job down and moving states as I am planning for a couple days from now. Considering smoking a bit to feel better, but don't want to repeat the mistakes of this past year.
To point 1, yeah. You'll have a clearer mind if not high all day. Moderation of lifestyle is important. As well as controlling the mental/time obsession that can go on. To point 2, point 1 will cut cost a lot but it's definitely not free. Ignoring 1 will lead to huge spending. To point 3, THC negatively impacts sleep. It can help you get to sleep but doesn't have a positive impact on quality unless the bar low. I've gone on and off with it for some years. Ignoring everything, if I don't follow #1 I have all kinds of negative side effects. Mainly I become an emotional landmine lol.
I don't think enough is said about the entire weed ritual that I hate! Getting it, rolling it, smoking it cycle is a giant waste of FN time and effort I really no longer want in my life.

I just quit about a week ago, but I haven't dreamed in probably 5 years prior to quitting, but I do recall about a week before quitting my brother brought some less potent stuff and I was smoking it for 2 days and I was dreaming all of a sudden lol, I would say the potency probably matters as I kept telling him his weed is so bad I started dreaming . I like top shelf but plug kept delaying,,, so I was stuck with his stuff , im a worst case tho, I smoked like 3 grams a day in bong.
I smoked daily for 20 years and still had dreams. But once I quit weed my dreams changed so much and were so dang vivid and crazy it was hard to tell if it really happened or not. And a lot of things from my past came into my dreams. Like things I had been suppressed for so long that needed to be worked through and processed. But wasn’t able to because I smoked so much. I dare you to stop smoking and see how your dreams change.
You know what helps me keep sober? Hanging out with my old Stoner buddies once in awhile while they're stoned 🤔you realize damn they're stupid... Hanging around stoners when you're not stoned that is a very hard thing to do not because you might use because they're just so lame.. I only can hope that the strength and courage that God gave me to overcome this addiction will help give them the strength and courage to quit theirs
Appreciate the video bro, I have been smoking over 15 years at first it is a good experience but over the years cannabis can literally take hold of a mind, I still smoke I do not enjoy it, it’s not just a crap habit, I can’t stand insomnia, I want to stop, roughly how many nights does someone need to go through until the insomnia goes away? it’s got to the point I smoke if I’m board I’m not motivated and I know it’s the cannabis holding me back, you were right in your video it is a killer “of the mind itself” good to hear and see stories like yours especially the benefit stopping!
I would smoke one tiny hit every day, and I feel so much better after quitting, even a super small amount. That stuff just isn't good for you if you do it on a daily basis.
Bruh i damn cant quit man tryt so much i get crazy sad and feel empty inside in de nights also feel bed with every joint i lght up its like i need weed instead of smoking to relaxe
A good technique in to slowly ease yourself off of smoking instead of going cold turkey. Think of it like going 100mph in a car. when you slow down, you dont slam the breaks because you will lose control and crash, but you slowly come to a halt. This will make the withdrawals less intense and allow your body to slowly adapt to having less and less weed. hope this helps

How come he sounds like he's stoned? I have not had the first issues you described. I have a medical prescription to grow fifteen plants and live in a remote mountainside area where the animals eat food crops but not cannabis plants, thus no detrimental costs. No difference in dreams and smoking cannabis slows down my active mind and allows me to focus on a specific subject matter, e.g., constitutional law. I acknowledge that cannabis is not conducive to certain individuals thought process. I quit alcohol about a quarter century ago and it was one of the most important beneficial changes in my life, especially for my health and minimizing cancer risks. It's far more beneficial for individual mental and physical health, as well as financial aspects to stop using tobacco and alcohol.
You look super depressed, and you say you couldn’t get into nature. Idk, there is something in between quitting altogether with using it on occasion. You were obviously over-using it. You can get many benefits from weed that only require a hit. I bet you were smoking quite a bit more than that. People do not realize that they are often over-dosing with it. But, honestly, you look really down. Good for you, if you were smoking daily. I don’t think that’s good for anyone. You also mentioned that you NEEDED it. You really didn’t, you just thought you did. I’ve had a very long relationship with pot, and I have gone weeks, months and years years without it. That’s just bc I don’t let anything have that much power over me. If I sense that’s happening, I step back-from anything. If it starts to feel like it’s controlling you, and not like you’re calling the shots, it’s always a good time to take a break from it. Also, it depends a lot on the why. Were you using it to numb out, or stuff feelings, thoughts or emotions? Bc that’s a recipe for trouble, if that’s the fact. But, it is beneficial for relaxation, can be good for times when you need to sleep, is way better than opioids for pain, and sometimes in life, you need a break from the stress, and a good laugh will help that. Either way, I hope you find what works best for you.
@Heavyhead2k1 well....I'm a retired veteran who served 24 years and had 5 combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan........I was also diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis just before retiring.....so it helps me in more ways than that.

i quit weed after almost 3 years, i become psychotic, now i take some pills to feel normal, i know that this dont happen with every one, but that was the best thing that i ever do in my life, i thank god for giving me forces to being a better person.
Good words my dude. Thanks for the reassurance.
This guys high right now
Great video man❤ stay strong and keep working hard brother 🙏🏼
i decided to not buy my own anymore yestrday, i cant control myself when its always right at my fingertips, and i would end up smoking whenever i could which escalated into basically smoking like 5 joints everyday after school and like 10 joints a day on the weekend, realised the only way ill quit if by not having it anymore, i will still smoke socially tho when others have it as im not ready to give it up completely
How you doing now? I can’t stop cannabis or I’ll start to have panic attacks again. Want to be more productive but sober I’m even less put together.
The money thing is so true!!
Thank you 🙏🏾
You right I was planning to get high as soon as I get up.
Certain strains can make it worse with Anxiety other's can make it better for some.
I sometimes do the wake & bake but when I'm doing it, I'm thinking about the things I'm about too do aka my routine and I'm definitely happier and Enjoy everything more with cannabis. I'm a medical approved cannabis patient. If You can't afford it you probably shouldn't be smoking in the 1st place same with cigarettes & Alcohol or anything else for that Matter!! MAJORITY IS THE KEY!!!!
COMMING FROM A 20YR SMOKER!
Homme Out Here Sounding Like He Just Stopped Opiates Or Methamphetamines LOL
Yea bro the dreams are awesome
thanks mate!
thanks for sharing man, can relate to everything you said. the dreams are crazy. stay blessed brother
I smoke daily and I still have dreams, not to say that I dont have other negative effects but its nice
that’s interesting good to know!
@@wolffeyyy yea its super interesting because I used to get no dreams from smoking but now I get super vivid dreams and a ton of them, idk what causes, im on a spiritual path too and I take some psychedelics sometimes maybe that has something to do with it who knows
@@volfied992 it might have something to do with it for sure. Not a bad thing though! 👍
It’s the evening time that gets me, got a 20 year habit
I would smoke one tiny hit every day, and I feel so much better after quitting, even a super small amount. That stuff just isn't good for you if you do it on a daily basis.
Bruh i damn cant quit man tryt so much i get crazy sad and feel empty inside in de nights also feel bed with every joint i lght up its like i need weed instead of smoking to relaxe
Just fry your brain receptors like me so you no longer get high and you're just smoking to smoke cause you're bored bud, it works
There's probably something in that weed tho seriously
A good technique in to slowly ease yourself off of smoking instead of going cold turkey. Think of it like going 100mph in a car. when you slow down, you dont slam the breaks because you will lose control and crash, but you slowly come to a halt. This will make the withdrawals less intense and allow your body to slowly adapt to having less and less weed. hope this helps
@@nickolaussoerjono2734 Also there's nothing wrong with smoking weed only 2 times a week. Just like it's perfectly fine to have a beer or two every week
@@down-the-rabbit-hole I didnt say there was. I smoke weed lol. I was just sharing a good technique to get over addiction.
Just what I needed to see pls make more videos on this subject! ❤
I agree completely
It seems like you have done some excellent self-reflection and I think you articulated your thoughts well. What do you think about drinking alcohol?
Making a video with points on this today. I am back for good
I’ve been 3 months off the erb today , it’s so hard when you smell it everywhere or see someone smoking , I definitely miss Mary , but I don’t miss the anxiety attacks and not having my money get fucked up cause I’ll be blowing money on it , Mary let’s you know when she’s done with you and i think it’ll be awhile until we get back together 😅
I take a break every 2 weeks
How much did you actually smoke weed ?
I’m smoking as I’m watching this 😅
Your sober state is my zooted state, hahahah cheers man you hit every point.
so i’ve been told hahaha
Great video!!!
It's funny about the dreams, I read that thc actually disrupts your rem sleep so I guess when you quit you are in rem more consistently
Just light it up, you'll be happier.
I miss me, its been a decade i hope this time i quit for real
Day 2
Actually weed doesn’t kill you but if you keep on smoking I’m sure the lungs will feel it in the future .
Three benefits of quitting weed
1) none
2) none
3) none
Ok - keep toking. 😊
I wanna save money I keep buying weed
Okay I know I’ll save money.. which means I can buy more other stuff..
Buddy sounds like he’s doing this for the judge as punishment for having weed or sum 😂😂
Rofl
lol
#4 - you don't like nature anymore... :)
Yo this video is negativity bro
i’m sorry you viewed it that way
@@wolffeyyy jk bro all good, just tryna quit weed as well
Be grateful if your quitting young. Way harder in your thirties.
Take a T break once in a while and control the time you smoke. I can see someone going nuts when smoking all day every day.
@Heavyhead2k1 well....I'm a retired veteran who served 24 years and had 5 combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan........I was also diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis just before retiring.....so it helps me in more ways than that.
Great video
Weed holding you back? Seems like a YOU problem
Boo!
