She was one of my favorites when I was a young. I wonder why I never hear her name mentioned when 80's music is discussed. I had to dig hard to remember her name, but remember her songs clear as a bell.
Prince's signature is all over this song, its unmistakably his sound production during those days ... I suspect the electric guitar is even played by him ....
Was so disappointed. Was invited by a friend to come to NYC to see the recording of this video, however I had a dress rehearsal for a dance concert that day. How I wish I could have been there. Sheena you still rock!!!
I remember watching a 30 minute music video program (5:30-6pm) weekdays… I watched it every afternoon. This video was played and I was surprised because I didn’t know that Sheena had a new album release. Of course you know this album “NSBAH” was a quiet release. Because it was a Prince song I was even more thrilled
I remember liking this song when I first heard it. Have never seen the video until now. I remember picking up the single from Tower Records and instantly liking it-- which by the way, I've always been a huge Prince fan. The single mentioned the forthcoming album, which never appeared in the US. By the way, the single artwork and picture were fantastic.
...I SO remember waiting for Sheena's "No Sound But A Heart" LP to be released, THEN, hearing her on Z100 (NY), Sept. of '87, telling her fans it's NOT coming out!.. I was GUTTED! ...it was released on CD in 2001, so, better late than NEVER! ...ha-HAAA!!
...Hey, am I the only one who sees Fabio & Rupert Everett in the beginning of this Video!? (1:05) ...they must've snapped up the budget for the LP's 'non'-release!! ...ha-HAAA!!
@Ronald McFondle Actually I LOVE both versions. When I'm in a Pop mood I'll take Sheena Easton's version and when I feel the need of listening to a more R&B/SOUL approach I'll take Chaka Khan's version. I prefer Chaka's for the most part though...
One of prince’s most beautiful songs 😊
I can tell Prince touched this song I can hear his presence ❤️
He more than touched it! Lol, he produced & wrote it.
Thank u Prince

I wonder the same. Only female singer who had more top 100 songs in the 80s was Madonna
I love the incentive to listen to the song all the way through just to hear 3:47 at the end. I love all of the Prince/Sheena songs. All so unique.
So amazing this song, her voice so velvety and sensual.... Still my favorite song from her after so many years...

Yes, that's got to be him on guitar.
Prince really seemed to have a thing for working with female artists and then turning his back on them when he figured out they were better.
@@lesliegardner9249 How foolish you sound 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@lesliegardner9249 no lol. he just founded another artist to "help" :)
Well, he did write it.
Wow this song is awesome! She is so under rated!!!
To all of the fans of SHEENA EASTON, Good Evening!
Good Night
Sheena is one of the few women who do very well with short hair.
Why this beautiful song wasn't a big hit?
Never heard this song- WOW!!!
Was so disappointed. Was invited by a friend to come to NYC to see the recording of this video, however I had a dress rehearsal for a dance concert that day. How I wish I could have been there. Sheena you still rock!!!
the video was filmed in NYC?
where was this filmed in NYC? do you know the filming date(s)?
@@Jameskonigchr That's St. John the Divine in upper Manhattan, though there are some small details that have changed since then.
This is such a great song!
It is like the song a siren would sing.
My favourite song in the 80's.Great❤❤

Thank you!!!!!!! I've waited for 32 years to see this video!!!!
Alright now Sheena Easton. I'm feeling this song. This is a throwback however I don't recall heard this. 🎧 still 🔥🔥🔥 in 2020.

Che bella canzone e quanti ricordi di tanti anni fa'...😀👍🎖🎼🎶🎵
Is it safe to assume Sheena and Prince were a dynamite team?
I Love music sheena

Sheena u always beautiful

Just heard Prince's version and Sheena Easton made it her own. He also added his guitar 🎸 in this version.
Release this album!
It's been released on One Way records
The album is available to purchase and stream on MP3 format on digital music platforms.

De las bellas canciones de una bella cantante.
The REAL Eternity, no Prince, no frills, no bells, no whistles!!!
What do you mean no Prince? He gave her the song, lol.
There are more frills, bells and whistles on this version than the original by Prince I think…
Prince's original version is killer.
Arrival brought me here.
She very bright.
sheena luego es tu cumpleaño como quisiera verte en vivo saludos desde este solitario pais llamado chile 24 -4-2020
Vino el 2019 a movistar.... no fuiste a verla??
didn't the 7" record sleeve fold out to be a poster?
The Album Released Sheena Easton
About eternal soulmates.
Pretty please, please post the official "101" video.
Can we have the aspect ratio fixed and reloaded?
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Holly shit Fabio !! ;D 1:06 lol
Big video for an album that never got a North American release.
That looks like Kate Bush dancing from her own video Running up hill
yes, and Prince wrote this song, as he wrote many for Kate Bush too.
2:45 What envy
see the purple in the beginning!?
think u right

Kinda reminds me of the illumati videos they havenowadays
Never heard this!! I think Chaka Khan’s version is better, but no shade to this one. It’s fire!!
Dallas Dude: I agree!
@Ronald McFondle You clearly NEVER heard Chaka's version, because she doesn't hoot or holler...she just sings...

Chaka's version is too electronic, too dated ( the synth) for my taste..
I love Chaka, but her version sucks. The original by Sheena is better.
baba - father
Gerald luv yuh... Mary.... Mm mm 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
¿Who is the guy that kiss her?...
I wonder why mens on 80s are more attractive
that’s cause it’s 2022 and now they’re older
This was supposed to go to Jill Jones…..,
All of the Sheena projects should have gone to Jill Jones.
Especially 'U Got The Look' and 'The Arms Of Orion'.
Pre-fame Fabio!
Another Prince dud
Madusa Madonna Temple MM airloom, dad Davinci am prince.
This has got to be Sheena's worst recording.
Prince!
