@@alexubeda159 yes you choose it in the world map but manually enter it in the plane. World map is just for visualising the route beforehand and noting down what to select in the fmc
6:42 from start to finish. You never cease to amaze me with your condensed tutorials. Excellent insight into what appears to be a very popular short haul aircraft. Many thanks Tijay.
Great video, like how you get straight to the point rather than explaining every single unnecessary thing. Just tell me exactly what I need! Brilliant :)
Thanks! Another great tutorial that got me up and flying - now I can circle back and go deeper on the plane. Hope you can do a cold & dark tutorial for this too. Cheers
Extremely helpful, I have Autisim and ADHD So I’m easily distracted, for me this works amazingly and I’m very grateful indeed. I’m good with A320s now I’m good with ATR’S. Thank you very much!
Tj, you're the simplest and the best.all we need to know is how to start from the apron to the runway. Thank you very much. I always look to you for tutorials. All the others are too long winded and fluff and stray away from the topics.❤
Great tutorial, and the quick start guide. One question tho, for some reason my takeoff speeds don't fill in automatically. What is the prereq for that? They aren't filled in on DU2 either but they are on the EFB. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. EDIT: It's because I didn't have my weight set in the FMC
Hi from NZ TiJayFLY, I have been trying to fly into RWY 34 NZNR which only offers RNAV and I understood (perhaps incorrectly from your vid title this was that - RNP?) anyway would you be good enough to look at doing one of these when you have the time. TIA Mike
@@Stan-ug9mx no, one of the main reasons to fly MSFS is the world map planner. More time flying, less time planning - unlike Xplane which is dependent on Simbrief
The same to me. It must be done by oneself, otherwise, no flight plan. Take notice everybody It does not matter the magenta line of the map window be ok. It is not sent into the plane

If you want to fly “realistically” it’s a little different yeah (and various lengthy hardcore tutorials already exist on other channels). This is just a beginner’s “get up, across, and back down again” for new players, especially those on Xbox where MSFS is more of a video game than a serious thing
Watch before you fly. Pause along the way. Take notes. Re watch or play in slow motion any sections you don’t get, until you’re satisfied your notes are good. Fly from your notes. I need to start pinning this stuff 😂
Before your flight, use the World Map to help you choose runways, SIDs, STARs and approaches! 😁
I tried to use it , but It doesn't apperar loaded in the MCDU : (

thank you so much for giving us all this info in such a concise manner! really appreciate it.
This video is amazing!! I have a whole new obsession with this ATR after watching this tutorial. Thanks mate!

Brilliant considered and condensed tutorial as always. Thank you :-)
Good work ! Love these super short, easy to follow videos :)
Very nice tutorial. Quick and consise. Great job 👍
Good video and I hope you do more on various aspects of this plane.
Great tutorial as always, any chance you will ever do a tutorial on the TFDi MD-11?
Yup, just need to find time and inclination 😁
TY once again

Great video. Can I just ask did you plan the route first in the sim world map or did you just create it from scratch while in the aircraft?
World map, check pinned comment :)
love the thumbnail ;) also thanks for the tutorial, probs gonna get this if its on xbox

I’m not sure what the state of RNAV is in the ATR, but I’ll look into it
Hey great video, just wondering if there is gonna be a cold and dark tutorial for this aircraft in the future, thanks

Since ATR doesn't have Auto Throttle, how do you maintain VNAV PATH during descent?
Idle throttle and auto-pitch generally takes care of it
@@TiJayFLY Thank you
Did the flight plan import over from the msfs world map.?You didn't need to use sim brief or any other flight plan routing program?
No, it doesn’t import automatically. Manual programming as shown here, or probably Simbrief (I didn’t look for that, I don’t use it)

Now looking at a different plane, where is the autothrottle for this aircraft?
@@JamesBcfc1512 it doesn’t have one - turboprops generally don’t
@@TiJayFLY ok so the autopilot does the work? Or we have to manually control through the whole flight
@@JamesBcfc1512 you have to manage throttle position
One question how to not overspeed this plane the whole time? Evry time it’s over speed and crashes???
Same as any plane :) more pitch or less throttle
MSDU works great for entering the route, if you know NOT to add airways and waypoints :) In this case it worked fine, as you didn’t add airways.
Are airways broken? Damn
@@TiJayFLY Not broken my friend. Look at 737ND Driver tutorials, how to enter correctly. Works fine, just in a different way.

Should be on by default from a runway start. If in doubt, hit L 😄
So no FLC mode?
No but there are also pitch hold and speed hold vertical modes
