    I got the more harder to upgrade HP Prodesk 400 G4 SFF. Bought it super cheap since my company do tech refresh.
    Stock specs:
    Intel Core i5 7500
    4GB DDR4 2400 RAM
    500gb HDD.
    So with SFF body,there's not much I can do. Here is the upgrade so far and don't judge me,i use this component as upgrade because this the only thing I could find in Malaysia.
    Upgraded stuff:
    2.5 480gb Kingston SSD
    1TB Toshiba 7200rpm HDD
    Nvidia GTX 1050Ti
    16GB 2400 RAM (8gb x 2 )
    Future upgrade:
    Maybe fit aftermarket cpu cooler
    Add intake and exhaust fan
    Upgrade cpu to i7 7700
    But to be honest this is really hard to upgrade.
    I do what i could and if you guys interested,give some likes and i will do video about the upgrades. This machine for casual gaming on my living room. Nothing serious to play AAA title. Enough for me to play forza horizon 5 and some fifa. I tried battlefield 5 and they run super great

    I am running the 800 G4 SFF, it has 2 NVMe slots completely on the motherboard. Also, on the G3 ram speed is limited to 2400, on the G4 it is 2666.

    Not going to lie, that nvme placement on the board is the jankiest stuff i have seen coming from a manufacturer as of late.

      I think that HP’s decision to position the M.2 slot facing outward is indeed unique. Maybe It serves the purpose of preventing users from changing or swapping cases easily. Additionally, this design accounts for potential obstructions caused by case walls or the lack of proper standoffs. Thanks for sharing your insights!

      The HP EliteDesk 800 G3 uses a PWM fan header for both the CPU fan and case fan. If you’d like to install one or two additional fans, please consider using a PWM fan splitter cable and connecting it to the case fan header or CPU fan header. If you plan to add many fans, I recommend using a PWM fan hub that utilizes a SATA or Molex power cable. This way, the fan hub can supply enough power for multiple fans. Thank you!

    is it ok to use my 3070 ti on 230 power supply?

    • @itggear3400
      @itggear3400  Місяць тому +2

      Installing an RTX 3070 Ti on a 230W PSU (power supply unit) isn’t recommended. Even the standard RTX 3070 Ti alone consumes around 290W. So, if you’re eyeing that beefy graphics card, consider upgrading your PSU to handle the extra power demands. Safety first, right?

There, a user had uploaded pictures of the HP ProDesk 600 G3 power supply and motherboard. Interestingly, it appeared to be the same PSU (power supply unit) that I used in my video. However, since I haven’t personally laid hands on the HP ProDesk 600 G3, I cannot definitively confirm whether the PSU model I featured in my video would work seamlessly with your specific HP ProDesk 600 G3. Thank you for your understanding.

      If you’re considering upgrading to an Intel Core i7 7th generation CPU, here’s the scoop: The i7-7700K is an unlocked processor with a 91W TDP (thermal design power), which means it requires a larger CPU cooler and more space. However, if you’d like a smoother transition without changing your existing cooler, I recommend opting for the Intel Core i7-7700 (the non-K edition). This CPU has a lower TDP of 65W and should work seamlessly with your current cooler. Thanks for tuning in!

    • @itggear3400

      Yes, P1 and P2 are labels for each cable to avoid misplugging them into the motherboard sockets. For example, P1 corresponds to the 4-pin motherboard cable, and P3 corresponds to the 4-pin CPU cable.

    • @itggear3400
      @itggear3400  5 днів тому

      Certainly! Let’s discuss why some users might still choose to use Intel 7th generation CPUs, even though they are not officially supported by Windows 11.
      - Existing Hardware Utilization: Many users already own 7th generation CPUs. By utilizing their existing hardware, they can save on upgrade costs and avoid unnecessary expenses.
      - Adequate Performance for Everyday Tasks: Despite not being officially supported, 7th generation CPUs still provide sufficient performance for everyday tasks. Whether it’s web browsing, office work, or media playback, these CPUs can handle it smoothly.
      - Environmental Considerations: Keeping existing hardware without replacing it contributes to environmental sustainability. By avoiding unnecessary hardware replacements, users reduce resource consumption and e-waste.

    • @itggear3400

      Absolutely! The system, with an i7-7700K and an RTX 2070, should handle 1080p gaming and streaming quite well. The i7-7700K is a capable CPU, and the RTX 2070 provides excellent graphics performance. Just make sure the PC have enough RAM (16GB or more) and a stable internet connection for smooth streaming. Happy gaming!

    • @itggear3400
      @itggear3400  Місяць тому +1

      Swapping out the HP ProDesk case is such an interesting idea. However, I find it a bit challenging because there’s currently no 24-pin cable adapter that works seamlessly with HP ProDesk motherboards. Additionally, the I/O shield is non-removable. So, if we decide to proceed with the case swap, we’ll need to stick with the original power supply and get creative by crafting our own motherboard I/O shield.
