- In this video, I'm going to be showing you this crazy gaming pc I was able to pick up on Facebook marketplace for 200 bucks. Many of you can replicate this, with parts from your local marketplaces or on eBay.

Just a heads up, hold the fans in place when hitting them with compressed air so that they don't spin. Otherwise they can spin in the opposite direction causing voltage to be sent back to the motherboard. Most "normal" fans have a safety feature to prevent this but you can never be too careful with random Chinese brands. You can also kill the bearings if they spin past their RPM.
Yeah I know that lmao. Didn’t plan on using the fans anyway after taking the pc apart so I didn’t really care about em. They were disconnected.
Now that I think about it I didn’t discontent the gpu fans so ig I was being risky 🤷♂️
@@MatthewsHardware yeah was mostly talking about the gpu fans, they can be replaced but i would rather not lol. Also, wouldn't really care about the case fans either-- i usually just buy a pack of them in bulk instead if it's just for a cheap system over bothering to clean them. I'm lazy.

Didnt even know this. Always blowing the fans around for fun when cleaning a new build 😂. That explains why one of my projects had a broken motherboard/gpu
I spent nearly a month just constantly looking for decent deals on PCs, my budget maxed out at around $1600, I managed to find a PC for sale, i7-14700kf & 4080 super, for only $1600, and it came with a 1440p 27" monitor, a keyboard, mouse, and mousepad. Turns out the seller's son had passed away recently, and his things were just sitting there, so she decided to get rid of them.
Damn that’s a crazy good deal. Sad situation for the pc to be sold but it’s good the pc went to good use and didn’t rot away.
I swear americans have the best 2nd hand market, everywhere in the UK someone is trying to scam you for way more than pc parts are worth

Nice pickup. I just sent a message about a PC I found on my local Facebook Marketplace. It supposedly has a i5-10400F/3060 ti & they only want $400 CAD OBO for it. It sounds to good to be true to be honest but hopefully I hear back soon so I can go check it out. Thanks for sharing :)
Yeah if that’s legit you could maybe pick it up for 300 CAD 😭. The GPU is worth that much
I picked up a $195 pc from my dads coworker, it has an i-7 6700k, gtx 1080 and 32 gigs of ram.

this isn't happening where I am, people where I am in the US are still trying to sell off those old AMD pcs from 2010 with the FX cpus in them for $200
and to get decent intel or even ryzen its the cost of a PS5 or more

Yeah I mean sometimes that’s how it is. You just got to lowball and see where it gets you. Some more rural areas are rough for local deals tho

$200 is really hard to build. Many corners must be cut.
But when you get someone’s old gaming PC for cheap, it sure makes it easier.
I posted a $200 Gaming PC challenge but nobody stepped up.
Yeah most of my builds and flips are from other peoples PCs. I don’t build that many from scratch just because it’s more profitable to buy whole PCs

@RobertFixit yeah 200 would be crazy hard. I’ve gotten full on Ryzen PCs with high end 10/16 series cards for under 200, but that’s full systems on marketplace.
Honestly I have the opposite problem. There are good deals but they are picked up instantly. I’m still devastated losing out on an rtx 3080 dell model for $200 while I was busy at the DMV
You just need to always be looking out, and eventually you will get something. 200 for a 3080 is crazy tho

Video idea : buy an dell desktop with i5 which rn sell 100 to 200 bucks on facebook market place and put nice gpu and power supply and it will a solid buit since there desktop are mostly used in school u could get one cheap and make good video about it

I've been looking for a pc for a quite a long time and recently I've found a pretty good deal.
Asus Dual RX 6600 8gb paired with Ryzen 5 3600XT, B450M VDH Plus, 16 gigs of ram and a 512gb m2 ssd, Aerocool Cylon 600W+80 bronze, Corsair H45 Hydro AIO 120mm, Pretty good condition. ONLY FOR 400 dollars.
I picked one up with a 5600x and a 6600 for 275 😊

Would be a perfect starter PC for a kid. Heck, I'm giving mine a Ryzen 5 1600x/RTX 2060 for Roblox. Just so they leave my i5 13600k/6800XT alone! 😂

Great video, how do you determine what gpus will pair well with a cpu or vice versa?
For me I usually go based off knowledge of my own tests in the past, but most of the time you can go on Reddit, YT or another platform and find good recommendations there. I don’t recommend using any of the bottleneck calculators online, as they are inaccurate.

No, you really can't. I have an insane gaming PC with an R7-5800X3D and an RX 7900 XTX. You can't get that for $200...
The GTX 1660 series wasn't even referred to as "insane" when it was new, let alone now. Hell, the "lowly" RX 6600 is almost 50% faster and has two extra gigs of VRAM.
This is a "somewhat usable" gaming PC which is insane for $200, but it's not an insane gaming PC.

i managed to get a pc for $400 on facebook marketplace, it has a GTX 1070 Ti, An Intel i7-7700k, 500 gb of space and like 32 gb of ram (i think), did i get a good deal? (i also dont know all the other specs)
