Making a wall from Old Pallets! DIY Sugi Ban Cladding!

In this video i use old pallets as cladding for a barn/ workshop. I also do a quick DIY Sugi Ban pallet burning to give the wall some colour before i varnish it.

Can the pallets be slightly weathered? Would you need to sand them first?

Probably just paint the wood on wall black and the bottom render part paint yellow on this bit
