In a 2011 interview with german Rolling Stone magazine Till and Flake told the story of a concert at a festival in Toronto. The people in the audience carried Flake all the way to the back, where he was kind of 'dumped' over the fence of the festival area. He hurt his knee in the fall and then had to walk all the way around the fencing to the stage entrance, where luckily someone recognised him by his clothes and let him back in.

They sometimes play a song called Seemann (Sailor) where Flake is out in the crowd with his boat for the entire song.
And regarding cool mics; both guitarists have mics that only show up when they have to sing and disappear again afterwards as to not ruin the view.
Paul (on the left of the stage) has one that he puts his foot on so it swivels up, you can see it at 3:53
Richard (on the right of the stage) usually has a mic that comes up straight out of the stage.

In the 2019 tour, the entire band (other than Til) "crowd sailed" from the small stage back to the main stage after performing a piano version of Engel
I've been fortunate to able to take part in ensuring Flakes boat doesn't capsize when they came to Chicago some years ago. Every concert they put on is an unforgettable one.

It would also be nice if they react to the official video of this song, it's very funny, they play with the idea that many have that everyone in the band is envious of the vocalist, but in reality the lyrics of the song speak about the unity they have as a team 👌🏼💕
Guys, I really like your reaction videos and also the fact that you obviously like Rammstein for their music and - of course - their unique live performance (as well as their high quality videos). BUT there´s one thing that is also quite important for Rammstein´s success: their dark, disturbing but also clever lyrics. Would be great to see your reaction on that as well. Anyways, keep up that good work! Northern Germany says "Moin Moin" :)
Here you can often see the whole audience of "Rock am Ring", with fans to the horizon and at "Ich will" really all, up to the last row answer Til's questions.
As with Trevis, I immediately asked myself what it must feel like to have 85,000 spectators answering your questions without exception.

For the 2019 and 2022 tours most of the band take to inflatables to surf the crowd. They go from a small satellite stage to the main stage where they're greeted by Till holding a "Willkomen" sign.
Here you should react on the Official Video of "Haifisch" as well which is translatet as "Shark" . The official Song is also realy funny and has context to other previous videos of Rammstein :)

I´ve touched the boat, when they where in Prague :D. Thank you for the reaction. And yes, Flake fell a couple of times. Once he fell and broke his collar bone. Other example is, when he fell, fans ripped his clothes off and he was butt-naked in the crowd.

The song is about trust. The band trust their fans and send Flake on a journey. The fans pay back this trust because all works without any problems.

The model for Rammstein was the Threepenny opera (Dreigroschen Oper) by Bertolt Brecht. One song is title in German - "Und der Haifisch der hat Zähne", in English - " And the shark who has teeth". The premier took place in 1928. At the suggestion of Leonhard Bernstein, it was translated into English and performed on Broadway in 1952.

In their official videos they often 'kill' Till, the singer. In the official video for 'Haifisch' the remaining band arrives at Till's burial and the memorial.
You can see the different versions how Till was supposed to have been killed in the other videos.
Each member of the band had their own agenda how and why to kill Till, so they all watch each other suspiciously.
Until a fight breaks out among the band members. Which somehow resolves the issue... but I am not going to spoiler the resolution.

When Rammstein first started they did body surfing but one of them got dropped so they worked out Boat but the crowed used keep him in the boat going away all the time. There are early versions of this just like when mistakes were made by equipment fails using flame throwers catching each other on fire and even The team letting off the fireworks too soon hurting the singer. So he took full control over everything in the end. Pyrotechnics and the flame throwers which made it far safer.
You really need to see something from the 2019 / 2021 (thx covid) Stadium Tour. Doesn't matter if it's unofficial or filmed on a cell phone... That stage set up is just beyond everything.

Haifisch = Shark ;-) Btw You can crowdsurf with anything. I have already seen a disabled person in a wheelchair crowdsurfing, as wel as a drummer with his drumkit ;-)
In their most recent tour last year Rammstein did an acoustic set on a small stage in the back of the arena. When the acoustic set was finished they used a multitude of the same boats to cross over back to the main stage!

Nowadays they have a small stage in the middle where they perform 3 Songs, then they go back with a boat and till welcomes them with a welcome Poster and a rainbow flag. Then they play the Song ausländer( stranger from another country) and at the end the guitarist kiss.
It is a special situation when you do Ramstein. Because as nativ German I have Ramstein "in Fleisch und Blut". And wehn I watch you doing this songs I know how hart it is, not to understand the lyrics :D Because I am just good in English since 5 years or so. Befor I never listened to the lycrics at all.

In the last tour they all go on boats on the crowd to go to another little stage and play some song there, and then go back (by boat again).
if i remember correctly, one time this song was played someone got kicked out of the concert because he jumped onto the boat with flake and made it back to the stage with him, and security, obviously, kicked him out
Flake has been dropped by the crowd and beaten up before when doing his crowd surfing.
The song is about Rammstein and the shark is a metaphor for the band.

Yes Flake has fallen out of the boat and at one show was almost stripped by the fans ripping at his clothes for a while he refused to do it and Oliver the Bass player took over sailing duties.
I saw slipknot in London years ago and the guy surged on a boat, was tipped out and his camera taken, they asked for it back at the end of the show lol

finally I can say.... "I WAS THERE!" somewhere in the crowd .. it was raining cats n dogs... the lightning striked multiple times into the festival area.. to be fair.. there a song called "kapitän" which means captain of the band "jennifer rostock" one of the best german rockbands lyricwise, and during that song they let someone surf the crowd on an air filled tyre used for snowtubing. maybe you are willing to react to this band someday?.. people love or hate jennifer, but probably cause shes a proud public supporter for PETA and LGBTQ and whatnot. ♥
People don't dislike Jennifer Rostok because of her beliefs but rather because of her constant changes in styles. Some of her songs are rap, other are pop, some sound like rock while others sound like techno pop. So buying her albums can be hit or miss because you'll like 2 or 3 songs and be completely bored by the other 6. Most of the people I have talked to like a couple of her songs and completely skip the rest.
