Hey again! Got a song for you to check out from Rammstein. Stein Um Stein. Which means Stone by stone. Theres an English cc option to for you to tell this songs story Enjoy!
Fun fact: Richard wrote that guitar solo to sound like a radio frequency interference.
I love till's word play before flake's solo.He ends the verse with the word RAM and after a brief pause he screams STEIIIIIIIIN little subtle details like this i really love.
Flake’s solo, what? There is no Flake’s solo its Richard playing
That's Richard solo. He use there whammy effect dude
@@twojastaracovers8264 damn i actually thought this was keyboard i am even more impressed with richard now.
@@Kazatim i think he is talking about the last part, cut here.
@@user-bb6ht8ro7g Richard Is a very good musician and responsible for most of the music
This song, this performance is all masterpiece in a class of its own!
The guitar riff at 8:25 is the reason why I prefer this version than the studio version. That riff is so badass and not to mention that the live chorus just hits so much damn harder.
By the way, I had the honor of seeing them live here in NJ last month at MetLife Stadium and I do recommend you guys going to their concert. Rammstein are the best live band that anyone can ever experience!
AGREED, 100%
nEXT yEAR vIEnNa gO
It's one of the best songs. It's the Völkerball tour, in Nimes 2005, best concert, best setlist ever 👌👌👍👍
Live aus Berlin and Völkerball are by far the best DVD recordings of Rammstein concerts.
Völkerball ist so great. The Growd are amazing
There are four songs in which the name of the band appears. In this song the band name is also hidden.
"All nails stand at straight,
when I RAMM them into your body wood.
STEIN by stone."
In the German lyric RAMM and STEIN are in correct order.
"Alle Nägel stehen stramm, wenn ich sie in dein Leibholz *ramm. STEIN!"*
Thanks for reacting to the video. I appreciate that! :)
We should thank you, amazing of you to put these up
Till is also a poet and he has written many books.
This song shows the genius of Rammsteins Songwriting skills. It is simply awesome...!!! As a german i can fully enjoy and understand the lyrics more than any translation into another language could do. I love that song!!
*One of my favorite song in this band! Stein um Stein and Sonne!*
this song is so great I am surprised it gets requested so seldom
Great reaction. This is a heavy song and quite a personal one for the band. Especially for Till. As you can see, he couldn't finish the song, he had to leave. The song is about how is was growing up in the GDR for the guys. The story is told from the perspective of the dictatorial state, what the GDR was. Stone by stone they built the wall. Heavy surveillance of the Citizens. The outside garden are the western countries prospering again after the war. This one of my favourite songs by Rammstein.
With love from Germany🤘😎
Wow! Thank you for this Eva!
I think their could be a second level of interpretation: Sounds like to be the kid of a narziss mother.
I am afraid how heavy song would be about living in Poland during 40s-90s if living in East Germany was that bad.
@@FaronPL I bet it was. Nevertheless they can only talk about their own experiences, don't you think. And that would be the one growing up in the GDR.
The interpretation of this song has several versions. One of them is about the Berlin Wall, but Till himself never talked much about it or complained about growing up behind the Iron Curtain. Rather, he dealt with the topic of family, the relationship with his parents and the relationship between them, but also between people in general. Most of Rammstein's work concerns taboo topics such as various phobias, addictions, but also mania, deviations and other socially controversial or neglected topics. The inspiration for the song is quite simple overall...eg. Wolfgang Priklopil and his kidnapping of Natasha Kapusch. It perfectly captures Priklopil's mentality and the way he thought when he built his basement hideout for his victim. Although the song is older than the clarification of the case of this kidnapper, it is basically not the only case. In a general interpretation, it's a song about so-called "monkey love", when you try to protect your loved one from the outside world so much that it becomes more like their imprisonment, but you don't perceive it that way, because you do it in your own way with good intentions and think that you are helping her. As the old saying goes: the worst things in the world are often done by people with the best intentions.
I like the way they've gone for the blue lights as well as the cryo effects. Cold like stones
sadly you haven´t been at the North America Stadium concert Tour recently...aspecialy those in close stadiums like Minnesota or San Antonio have been insane.
After the Concert ended you could not see 15 meters in the Stadium because of all the smoke from the Fire and explosions :P

Thanks so much for reacting to this song! Rammstein *is* my favorite band....their concerts, videos, lyrics, etc are so intense that you can't help but be drawn into their [Til's] minds!! 🇩🇪
The lyrics of this song reminds me a lot of two tales of E. A. Poe: "The Black Cat" and "The Tell-Tale Heart". I've read somewhere that in fact these tales of Poe were an inspiration to Till when he wrote the lyrics of this particular song.
It also reminded me about a short story by Edgar Allan Poe but I was thinking about “The Cask of The Amontilado” where one man walls in another man due to an insult and buries him alive.
@@prebenpoejensen8256 Right you're.
Can we just talk about how Till was sick af during this? Sick af and still able to hit those low notes and sustain them.
For me the best Song wow what are voice❤
Yes!! Best band ever!

This is RAMMSTEIN🤘👏👍🤘👏👏💪💪
Tellement puissant ce titre !!
Finally another Rammstein reaction!
Rammstein the best!!
Thank you so much for this you guys!!!!!! I love you! But I only watch you when you show Rammstein 😊🤩
I don't think there is nothing to smile here for. It's so dark.
As always, with Rammstein songs there are various interpretations of the lyrics.
The title would fit well to their situation in the former GDR, but to my knowledge the lyrics are about something completely different.
There was a sensational crime case in Austria about 20 years ago. A girl, who was held by her perverted kidnapper for years in a specially built dungeon in the basement and abused as a sex slave, managed to escape after he had granted her a little more freedom.
"I build a cottage for you, has no windows no door"
"Stone by stone, I wall you in and you shall be part of the whole".
"Stone by stone I'll wall you in and I'll always be with you "
"Stone by stone I wall you in and no one hears you scream"
No the one about the girl kidnapped for 20 years I another song from them and it's wiener blut.
Stein um stein is about how Till felt living in GDR
@@samuele.celotti999 In my opinion Stein um Stein , fits much better to the mentioned criminal case, if one compares once the lyrics.
In Wiener Blut it is noticeable in the chorus that it is always asked "Seid IHR bereit" - "Seit IHR soweit".
This reminds me strongly of a movie, in which in the basement of a castle on the outskirts of the city only selected people, all masked and dressed up, took part in Sado Maso parties.
@@samuele.celotti999 This song does not have much to do with Till's life in the GDR, perhaps only marginally so. The song is conceived more psychologically and refers to similar kidnappings and imprisonments. In general, however, it is about people who try to protect their loved one from the outside world to the point of sickness and do not realize that they are essentially imprisoning them.
Lyrics are in the literal sense. Rammstein like dark, twisted , gruesome stories.
No, they they also have nice songs and they are always on the side of humanism. They only describe the conditions.
He is poet himselft too.
You're back, great...thank you very much from Russia.
Underrated banger!!
Awesome guys thanks 🙏
Nice song!
Hello, i love you both ! Rammstein is the very best band and i love them realy much ! " Stein um Stein is a great song ! Greatings and love from germany ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

No conocía esta canción de Rammstein, se escucha muy oscura, por otro lado me fascina esta mujer integrante de the wolf hunterz
I hope so the guys playing the track next Year in Part 3 the Stadium Tour
It is a homage to their gdr time and the wall.
this song has several interpretations, one of them is that of the person who buries his victim alive
Yes, in der GDR haben sie ein ganzes Volk eingemauert.
@@annegretkasten6277 But the text is basically not about that.
Finaly..👍
This is from Nimes, France LIFAD-Tour 2005.
The song references their past behind the wall.

🧱STONE BY STONE 🏚️
I have plans big plans
I'm going to build you a house
Every stone will be a tear
And you'll never move out again
Yes I'm going to build a little house for you
With no windows no doors
It'll be dark inside
No light will get in at all
Yes I'll make you a home
And you are to be a part of it all
Stone by Stone I wall you in
Stone by Stone
I'll always be with you
Without clothes without shoes
You watch me working
With your feet in cement
You brighten up the foundation
Outside there will be a garden
And no one will hear you scream
Stone by Stone I wall you in
Stone by Stone
I'll always be with you
I'll always be with you
What a pounding what a hammering
Outside it starts to get dark
All of the nails stand at attention
When I ram them into your body-wood
Stone!
Stone by Stone I wall you in
Stone by Stone I wall you in
Stone by Stone I wall you in
Stone by Stone and nobody will hear you scream

Why do you guys refuse to do it? Riot. I'm disappointed in you guys.
You have to request a song through their site ie pay for it
A message for The Wolf Huterz - this song is not about love, but it's a story about the demolition of the high concrete wall that divided Berlin /Ost and West/ in 1989....They demolished the wall and united Berlin again into one city - and the state of Germany - Deutchland, where the RAMMSTEIN guys come from!! Even the guys from Rammstei certainly participated in the demolition of the wall - it's history, like the song "DEUTCHLAND"!
You're wrong, that's not what the song is primarily about. There is no continuity in the text, neither with the historical tone nor with communism, nor with anything that they experienced in the GDR. I know it, I'm from the Czech Republic, I had it here just like them. The song is more about fanatical love, the syndrome of protection from the outside world, when you practically imprison the "beloved" person in question so that he is only yours. That's how simple the interpretation is.
Ок
I'am not with you.
Sorry. This Song has definitivty more.
Better think about this twice
This song is "a hint" about Josef Fritzl...
the father who kept his daughter as a sex slave in captivity for 24 years in a specially built room under the house with the rest of the family...
Rammstein wants to draw attention to this abomination.
That's why I love Rammstein!
They are honest in sensitive matters!!!
This song is about life in the GDR. The song you mean is called „Wiener Blut“.
That hadnt happened when this song was wrote. Your thinking of Wiener Blut
@@robertohlrich9342 But the text is basically not about that. Till hardly talks about life in the GDR. The text has a completely different meaning. But it also does not apply to Fritzl's case, because it was not resolved until 5 years after the song was released.
The song expresses life under a communist regime. All the band members grew up in East Germany, before the fall of the Berlin wall.
Not aboout that.
i Love it😍
