Needless to say, the intro was "Firework music" from german composer G.F. Haendel. What else could it be?
This is a very interesting song.
He is singing about himself not being able to keep relationships and hating himself for it, so he just tries to keep everyone away, so he doesn't need to feel the pain. You need to checkout the lyrics. They are pretty cool

When I first heard this song, I hated it. But then, for the next few days, I found myself humming the song repeatedly. Now it is almost my favorite song by Rammstein. Very underappreciated song, imho.

I was in Munich at this live performance and I love that song as the 1st song. The whole concert was incredibly good. The sky seemed like burning due to the sunset and in combination with the music it was just overwhelming.

You cant imagine.. a trucker of Rammstein told us about the Bang at 3:08 .. In front row, it still scared the sh*t out of us.
They have by far the best stage shows.... They r so versatile too, even their slow tracks like this are great
Fun fact, Till's outfit is made of upholstery material. The really thick stuff they use on nice furniture. His coat alone weighs over 50 lbs.

@@meridiannemesis I'm assuming it's mostly for aesthetics. A large portion of Rammsteins shows include no shirt at all so I doubt it's for fire retardant. Every tour cycle has a unique look.
I went to the concert in Rotterdam, and yes this was the intro for the night. That bass was so loud, even in the back it went into youre bones! And I was sitting in the stands, right across the stage. Best concert ever! Oh, you should see the fireworks from this show!
I was there to! Flames went above the roof of the kuip. Ive got tickets for goffertpark nijmegen aswell… hopefully next year!

In the uk show, the explosion at the start was so loud I nearly lost my hearing for the night which could have spoiled the concert. Luckily after some ringing it cleared up 😂

During the show last year in Copenhagen I was on 4th row in front. I was lucky to get a bracelet to the pit area. It was damn great. To the delayed tour, that might be delayed even more, i have a fire zone ticket to the front. This song is one of my faves. No so heavy but a great text.

Please watch their 2019 concert in Berlin (multicam by Nightwolf). That is a fanmade video for the whole concert from different cell phone angles and it's so so great. You can watch that in your free time or whatever, I guess a whole concert is too long for a youtube reaction haha. But it's so worth it, especially when they did an accustic type version of Engel and the entire stadium sang the lyrics. So beautiful. This song here is better there too as you can see black smoke flying over the stadium and stuff that you can't see in this version. Their concerts are truly great!!

Whoever took that video was close to the stage and that's nice, but what you cannot see that way is that there was pitch black smoke coming from all kinds of chimneys on stage, and on the PA towers on the arena floor. That's what you mistook for some building being on fire. No, that was black, sooty smoke that filled the whole stadium as the song progressed and also didn't smell too good. But the effect was aweseome. "What I love must die" and there's black smoke everywhere.
Dude, those at 8:30 are not buildings, it's the 380.000 watt sound wall!!!

I believe that black smoke comes out of the stage and the turret-style things in the crowd during this song, so you were right to point out the black smoke Travis; this video just doesn't give a very good/complete view of it.
