It’s interesting to point out that yes, all narcotics are addictive but not everyone gets addicted mentally with them all. Someone can use coke a lot and be physically dependent on it but then use heroin & fall in love instantly... i think that’s important for younger people to understand, so that they don’t think they’re like “safe” from being addict. They probably just haven’t stumbled upon the drug they’re going to “love” yet. Hopefully videos like this can stop someone from that.

This is exactly why it scares me shitless to ever try harder substances! This needs to be made clear to everyone, not just younger individuals.

That’s how it was for me, I experimented a lot over the course of a few years and tried pretty much every drug available in my country. I never got hooked on anything which made me feel safe, until I tried dope and my life went to complete shit within a few months.

I agree. I have dabbled in a lot, including coke, but nothing I’ve been addicted to (besides nicotine, but I’m quitting on the first of October!). I use to not be scared of drugs because I couldnt possibly be addicted, but that was a false sense of the situation.

Meth really is quick with your life falling apart, I had my thing with it when I was around 19. First tried it because I was really open at the time and wanted to try everything. Did it sometimes, but what was very different was getting cravings for it. Then someone died off stuff they got from me, so doing it all the time started quite intentionally, so I could work instead of being a crying mess. Losing weight intentionally, it gave me a focus & some help. But the destruction of my life wasn't. And consistently craving it, even on it, unless I was super high. Didn't even take me a year of being on it all the time, maybe a year from first trying it to lose 3 jobs, my lease up and no reliable roommates and had to stay with random people. Heroin definitely takes longer, never had to stay with whomever. Periods of instability for sure, but longer periods of stability.

Hi Jen. I love your stories and I love hearing how well you are recovering. My name is Sheryl or Trouble, whichever you prefer, and I'm actually a correctional officer. I did a corrections officer search and I stumbled onto your page. I would love to share a technique I use at work and would love your thoughts on it. I wanted to come up with a quick way to grab the inmates attention after it took us too long to break up a fight. So what I do is I shout the word 'TROUBLE' and when I do, the inmates have to drop what they are doing, line up and wait further instructions. This took a little getting used to and I even did what I call "trouble drills" with the inmates to practice. This has worked great and the inmates respond very well to it. They realize I'm doing it for their safety which I think they appreciate. This has helped me with searches, count times, if I need to cuff a bunch up etc. I chose the word 'trouble' cause its an easy identifiable word and if I have to yell it, that means trouble is happening or coming or you(the inmates) are about to be in trouble. This is how I got the nickname Trouble or Officer Trouble from inmates and officers. My question to you is what do you think of this technique? Would you have had an issue with me doing this if you were the inmate? I would really appreciate your feedback on it! Keep up the good work. I love hearing recovery and success stories after prison

It is SOO TRUE what U say about HOW thing's where run an WHO ran the ball game with that particular drug, I never really thought about it in that SENCE other then it was a EASIER ball field to get involved in due to being a female, and bck in the day for me I lived in Southeast IN. That was a shift that went on that I guess thinking bck now that YEAH that was exactly how it was, Lol I guess we dnt ALWAYS REALIZE at the TIME on how thing's are ran an why, it was jus EASY where I lived to get rid of an even EASIER to find the guy's that will buy it an KEEP coming bck! Oh MAN am I GLAD life has changed SOOO MUCH for the BETTER!! I will be 43 on the 13th an I am jus flat out EXHAUSTED jus THINKING about THOSE day's!! Lol sheesh smh I now live in FL. an I am THANKFUL EVERY DAY that my life no LONGER includes ANY of THAT life style!! Have a great wkend Jen!! Love frm FL.!! 💖💖🌴🌴💖💖

I was given meth for the first time by my boyfriend who told me they were ‘caffeine pills’ (I know I was stupid to believe it but after dating someone for almost 2 years you just trust them) and after literally almost 10 times of me taking these ‘caffeine pills’ (he crushed it up hella fine and put it in capsules so they looked pretty legit but anyways) that’s right almost TEN TIMES later he tells me it’s been fucking meth the whole time. Now I’m about 3 1/2 years in to the sick love hate game that I have with meth. You’re so right when you say you fell in immediate love with it, I don’t care who you are meth will destroy you and everything you have. It’ll be the most destructive love you’ll ever experience in your life.
You have helped me so much in my difficult journey of trying to get and stay sober. Meth has paved the path for the most painful path to recovery. God bless you. Keep doing what you’re doing, love you girl.

Wow, that is so messed up and wrong. That is why i wont even take an aspirin from someone, unless its like my elderly parents or aunt giving it to me. Unless somethings coming out of a sealed bottle, or your own bottle, you cant trust what it is.

Took meth for a few years. I was taking anti psychotics at the same time. I can't say it ruined my life. I flipped houses and the energy I got from taking meth fuelled the sweat equity. I made a lot of money. The meth never made me skinny either. I always ate good and the anti psychotics made me put on weight as well. You don't get paranoid or sketchy while doing the anti psychotics. Just a nice energetic high.
