The C55 was a dream car long before I could drive - I lived and breathed the 55 throughout my teen years. I recently rediscovered it and now that I'm a lot older and able to afford it, it's time to find myself one. Yes a 63 would be nice but the 55 will always be a dream car for me...
This video has made me to look at a C55 AMG differently.
What a car and it sounds awesome.
C55 is a sleeper! Throwback to the days of the E46 and the C55, where manufacturers were showing the best they could do in each competition rather than actually comparing and competing or trying to better their rival
People forget how these C55's (510nm stock) and the supercharged E55's (700nm stock) use to terrorize all & sundry back in the day. The slushbox on the C55 was its weakness, but back then it still outperformed most
Well the 5g tronic was the best auto at the time,a manual would have been better but it is what it is
I did the Eurocharged upgrade on my c32 amg..pulley upgrade and gearbox and ecu tune did around 280kw on the Wheels...W203 are brilliant....love the C55! Thanks for the nice vid
C55 is the BARGAIN for sure!!!
I also love it coz I think the years 2000-2006 max is where the Golden cars are for some reason.

Hi Niyaaz you should actually do a vid on the one that started Mercedes going into performance saloons which is a very underrated car the c32 amg, and to date still has more to offer in terms of style, character and loads of fun to drive. Minor mods on this gets u a proper sleeper, taking out... c55 63’s and all wheel drives with launch from the line no problems!
Been looking at these for a while. Very informative. Should make a move into one in the next 6 months

Seen one in my state for only 3 grand..140k miles, body and interior looks good..salvage title however..not sure why, but still 3 k is very good

i looked at 2 of these 55's as I was looking for 07-10 c63 .the 55 has aged beautifully but people just cnt look after them and m not sure if i want to buy one of these and plow some money to get it up to a reliable standard
Driver looks very uncomfortable in his seat, needs to lean forward when taking every turn
Looking cool is not an optimal driving position. I wish people could just learn already, you're not an F1 driver.
Love the C55 was my first car I bought. @LibeRebil I do have a C63 Legacy if you want to have a look at that.

Had a chance to drive one of these and was underwhelmed, yes the power and v8 sound is there ..but you can fix yourself a cup of tea in between gear shifts , steering was odd to me , could have done with more weight . Seems to be more of a cruiser. Maybe I was spoilt by the e90 m3 mdct that I also sampled 🤔
M3 torque output is pathetic..rod bearings are shit..only reason it will edge out a c55 is the horsepower and they might weigh a little less..m3 pulls hard in top revs no doubt , where as c55 kinda tanks out a bit like a grand before redline..performance wise the c55 ain't far behind..m3 definitely better handling, but the c55 isn't horrendous.. I've taken out audio Quattro from a dig no worries.. I won't mess with the rs models though lol..c55 is a million times more reliable also..there's one in my state with 300k miles..not km..miles. original engine and trans..yes, I know the trans is slow as hell, but reliable.. m3 imo does sound much better with a good exhaust set up..and with all that $ I saved getting a c55 instead of a m3..m113k swap and seeya later m3 lol
